The ADF7030-1 is a fully integrated, radio transceiver achieving high performance at very low power. The ADF7030-1 is ideally suited for applications that require long range, network robustness, and long battery life. It is suitable for applications that operate in the ISM, SRD, and licensed frequency bands at 169.4 MHz to 169.6 MHz, 426 MHz to 470 MHz, and 863 MHz to 960 MHz. It provides extensive support for standards-based protocols like IEEE802.15.4g while also providing flexibility to support a wide range of proprietary protocols.The highly configurable low intermediate frequency (IF) receiver supports a large range of receiver channel bandwidths from 2.6 kHz to 406 kHz. This range of receiver channel bandwidths allows the ADF7030-1 to support ultranarrow-band, narrow-band, and wideband channel spacing.The ADF7030-1 features two independent PAs supporting output power ranges of ?20 dBm to +13 dBm and ?20 dBm to +17 dBm. The PAs support ultrafine adjustment of the power with a step resolution of 0.1 dB. The PA output power is exceptionally robust over temperature and voltage. The PAs have an automatic power ramp control to limit spectral splatter to meet regulatory standards.The ADF7030-1 features an on-chip ARM??Cortex?-M0 processor that performs radio control, radio calibration, and packet management. Cortex-M0 eases the processing burden of the host processor because the ADF7030-1 integrates the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. This internal processor also permits the download and execution of Analog Devices, Inc., provided firmware modules that can extend the functionality of the ADF7030-1.The ADF7030-1 has two packet modes: generic packet mode and IEEE802.15.4g mode. In generic packet mode, the packet format is highly flexible and fully programmable, thereby ensuring its compatibility with proprietary packet formats. In IEEE802.15.4g packet mode, the packet format conforms to the?IEEE802.15.4g standard. FEC, as per the IEEE802.15.4g standard, is also supported.The ADF7030-1 operates with a power supply range of 2.2 V to 3.6 V and has very low power consumption in both Tx and Rx modes, enabling long lifetimes in battery-operated systems. An ultralow power deep sleep mode achieves a typical current of 10 nA with the configuration memory retained.A complete wireless solution can be built using a small number of external discrete components and a host processor (typically a microcontroller). The host processor can configure the ADF7030-1 using a simple command-based protocol over a standard 4-wire SPI interface. A single-byte command transitions the radio between states or performs a radio function.The ADF7030-1 is available in two package types: a 6 mm ? 6 mm, 40-lead LFCSP and a 7 mm ? 7 mm, 48-lead LQFP. Both package types use NiPdAu plating to mitigate against silver migration in high humidity applications. The ADF7030-1 operating temperature range is ?40?C to +85?C.For Figure 13 to Figure 19, Figure 30, Figure 42, Figure 60, Figure 61, and Figure 75 in the Typical Performance Characteristics section, PA_COARSE is a programmable value that provides a coarse adjustment of the PA output power. This value can be programmed in the range of 1 to 6 for PA1, and from 1 to 10 for PA2. PA_FINE is a programmable value that provides a fine adjustment of the PA output power. This value can be programmed in the range of 3 to 127 for both PA1 and PA2. PA_MICRO is a programmable value that provides a microadjustment (typically <0.1 dB) of the PA output power. This value can be programmed in the range of 1 to 31 for both PA1 and PA2. PAOLDO_VOUT_CON is a programmable value that configures the internal LDO voltage that provides bias for the PA. The?AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497?are precision instrumentation amplifiers with thermocouple cold junction compensators on an integrated circuit. They produce a high level (5 mV/?C) output directly from a thermocouple signal by combining an ice point reference with a precalibrated amplifier. They can be used as standalone thermometers or as switched output setpoint controllers using either a fixed or remote setpoint control.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 can be powered from a single-ended supply (less than 3 V) and can measure temperatures below 0?C by offsetting the reference input. To minimize self-heating, an unloaded AD849x typically operates with a total supply current of 180 ?A, but it is also capable of delivering in excess of ?5 mA to a load.The AD8494 and AD8496 are precalibrated by laser wafer trimming to match the characteristics of J type (iron-constantan) thermocouples; the AD8495 and AD8497 are laser trimmed to match the characteristics of K type (chromel-alumel) thermo-couples. See Table 1 on the data sheet for the optimized ambient temperature range of each part.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 allow a wide variety of supply voltages. With a 5 V single supply, the 5 mV/?C output allows the devices to cover nearly 1000 degrees of a thermo-couple?s temperature range.The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 work with 3 V supplies, allowing them to interface directly to lower supply ADCs. They can also work with supplies as large as 36 V in industrial systems that require a wide common-mode input range.Product Highlights Complete, precision laser wafer trimmed thermocouple signal conditioning system in a single IC package. Flexible pinout provides for operation as a setpoint controller or as a standalone Celsius thermometer. Rugged inputs withstand 4 kV ESD and provide over-voltage protection (OVP) up to VS ? 25 V. Demonstration circuit 2788A is a boost LED driver featuring the LT®3950. This demonstration circuit powers a string of LEDs at 330mA. The step-up topology can be used to drive a string of up to 28V of LEDs as assembled. The maximum output voltage capability of the LT3950 is 60V. DC2788A runs from an input voltage range of 6V to 24V as built. It also runs at 2MHz and has the capability to turn on spread spectrum frequency modulation (SSFM) for a frequency range of 2.0MHz to 2.5MHz. Dimming control can be achieved with analog dimming or PWM dimming—either from an external or internally-generated clock source. DC2788A features undervoltage lockout (UVLO) set at 6.6V with a 1.0V hysteresis for turn-on.
The UVLO voltage, LED current, output voltage range, switching frequency, brightness control, SSFM, and the topology can all be adjusted with simple modifications to
the demonstration circuit.
LT3950 is a monolithic 1.5A peak switch current, 60V LED driver. The guaranteed peak switch current rating of the IC is 1.5A and this is important to know when calculating maximum output current at a given LED voltage and input voltage for a boost converter. The LT3950 features SSFM and a well-controlled SW node for low emissions.
A frequency range of 200kHz to 2MHz and a high-side PWMTG PWM-dimming MOSFET makes this a very versatile IC for many applications. It can be used for boost,
buck-boost mode and buck mode LED driver applications. The PWMTG MOSFET not only provides high PWM dimming ratio capability, but it also serves as a short-circuit
protection device. The FAULT flag indicates when there is either a short-circuit or open-LED fault at the output.
The demo circuit is designed to be easily reconfigured to suit other applications, including the example schematics in the data sheet. Consult technical support for assistance.
High voltage operation, 3V input voltage operation, multiple topologies, small-and-compact size, fault protection, low EMI, and multiple brightness control options make
the LT3950 flexible and powerful for compact, noise-sensitive LED driver solutions. The LT3950JMSE featured on this demo circuit is available in a thermally enhanced
16-lead plastic MSOP package. The LT3950 data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual to properly use or modify demo circuit DC2788A.
