The AD8146/AD8147/AD8148 are high speed triple, differential or single-ended input to differential output drivers. The AD8146 and AD8147 have a fixed gain of 2, and the AD8148 has a fixed gain of 4. They are all specifically designed for the highest resolution component video signals but can be used for any type of analog signals or high speed data transmission over either Category 5 UTP cable or differential printed circuit board (PCB) transmission lines.These drivers can be used with the AD8145 triple differential-to-singled-ended receiver, and the AD8117 crosspoint switch to produce a video distribution system capable of supporting UXGA or 1080p signals.Manufactured on the Analog Devices, Inc. second generation XFCB bipolar process, the drivers have large signal bandwidths of 700 MHz and fast slew rates. They have an internal common-mode feedback feature that provides output amplitude and phase matching that is balanced to ?60 dB at 50 MHz, suppressing even-order harmonics and minimizing radiated electromagnetic interference (EMI).The common-mode voltage of each AD8146 output can be set to any level, allowing transmission of signals over the common-mode voltages. The AD8147 and AD8148 encode the vertical and horizontal sync signals on the common-mode voltages of the outputs. Demonstration circuit 2779A is an 8V, 16A synchronous step-down Silent Switcher® 2 with spread spectrum frequency modulation featuring the LT8644S. The demo board is designed for 1.2V output from a 2.7V to 8V input. The LT8644S is a compact, ultralow emission, high efficiency, and high speed synchronous monolithic stepdown switching regulator. The integrated bypass capacitors optimize all the fast current loops and make it easier to minimize EMI emissions by reducing layout sensitivity. Selectable spread spectrum mode further improves EMI performance, making it perfect solution to the noise sensitive applications.
Peak current mode control with minimum on-time of as low as 20ns allows high step-down conversion even at high frequency. The LT8644S switching frequency can be programmed either via an external resistor or an external clock over a 300kHz to 3.5MHz range. The default frequency of demo circuit 2779A is 2MHz.
The SYNC/MODE pin on the demo board DC2779A is grounded (JP1 at BURST position) by default for low ripple Burst Mode® operation. It can be configured into different operation modes through JP1 and SYNC terminal (Table 1 in the demo manual).
Figure 4 in the demo manual shows the efficiency of the circuit at 3.3V input and 5V input in force continuous mode operation (input from VIN terminal). To get accurate efficiency measurement, measure the input voltage at the VIN_SENSE/GND terminals and measure the output voltage at the VOUT+ SENSE/VOUT– SENSE terminals. Figure 5 shows the LT8644S temperature rise on DC2779A demo board at 3.3V input and 5V input in forced continuous mode.
The LT8644S is assembled in a 4mm × 4mm LQFN package with exposed pads for low thermal resistance. The rated maximum continuous load current is 16A, while derating may be necessary for certain input voltage and thermal conditions.
The demo board has an EMI filter installed. This EMI filter can be included by applying the input voltage at the VEMI terminal. The EMI performance of the board (with EMI filter) is shown on Figure 6 in the demo manual. The red lines in EMI Performance are CISPR25 Class 5 limits. The figure shows that the LT8644S circuit passes the test with a wide margin. To achieve EMI performance as shown in Figure 6, the input EMI filter is required and the input voltage should be applied to VEMI terminal, and the test setup can be referred to the CISPR25 standards. If the input is applied to VIN terminal, the EMI filter is bypassed.

Demonstration circuit 1311 is a Telecom isolated DC/DC converter featuring the LTC3805/-5 constant frequency current mode flyback controller. The DC1311 converts 18V to 72V input voltage to an isolated 3A of output current at 3.3V. The 300kHz constant frequency operation is maintained down to very light load to reduce low frequency noise generated over a wide range of load current. The converter provides high output voltage accuracy (typically ±2%) over wide load range with no minimum load requirement.
The DC1311 also provides non-isolated design by removing opto coupler and LTC4430 circuit. The demonstration circuit can be easily modified to generate different output voltages up to 15V. As output voltage is increased, the maximum output current must be reduced to limit the output power to no more than 10W.

ADXL344 Datalogger / Development Board

The ADXL344 Development Board is an easy-to-use tool designed to shorten application development time by providing a ready-to-use platform for data collection and firmware development.
The board is pre-configured as a datalogger that can be used to gather data for refining algorithms, tuning thresholds, and generally familiarizing oneself with accelerometer data. Powered by two AAA batteries, the board is completely untethered and integrates seamlessly into portable applications. Logged data is stored on a MicroSD memory card, providing essentially unlimited memory capacity and operating system versatility. Data is stored in a text (.txt) file, so no software installation is required to operate the board or read data. A 2GB MicroSD card and a USB MicroSD card reader are provided with the board.
Additionally, the board is fully programmable, providing a hardware platform on which firmware can be tested in parallel with development of application hardware. Communications and processing are performed by an ARM7-based ADuC7024 micro-controller, and firmware is written in C. A programming cable is provided with the board, and a development environment and header files are supplied on this page.
Finally, the platform can be duplicated in the final application, having already been tested with the application firmware. Schematics and layout can be found under the Supporting Documentation tab and can be used freely in your application.
Note that this board is not configured to display real-time data. For real-time evaluation of the ADXL344, please refer to the Inertial Sensor Evaluation Board. For a simple ADXL344 Breakout Board, refer to the EVAL-ADXL344Z.
