Demonstration circuit 1568A is a 2A monolithic multichemistry battery charger for solar power applications featuring the LT3652EDD. The LT3652 is a complete mid-power Li-Ion battery charger that can operate over a wide input voltage range. The charger employs a 3.3V float voltage feedback reference that allows the battery float voltage to be adjusted up to 14.4V.
The LT3652 has an input voltage regulation loop which reduces charge current if the input falls below a programmed level, set with a resistor divider. The circuit provides CC/CV charging with a 2A maximum charge current that is programmed by a sense resistor.

The AD8153 is an asynchronous, protocol agnostic, single-lane 2:1 switch with three differential CML inputs and three differential CML outputs. The AD8159, another member of the Xstream line of products, is suitable for similar applications that require more than one lane.The AD8153 is optimized for NRZ signaling with data rates of up to 3.2 Gbps per port. Each port offers two levels of input equalization and four levels of output pre-emphasis.The device consists of a 2:1 multiplexer and a 1:2 demultiplexer. There are three operating modes: pin mode, serial mode, and mixed mode. In pin mode, lane switching, equalization, and pre-emphasis are controlled exclusively using external pins. In serial mode, an I2C interface is used to control the device and to provide access to advanced features, such as additional pre- emphasis settings and output disable. In mixed mode, the user accesses the advanced features using I2C, but controls lane switching using the external pins.The main application of the AD8153 is to support redundancy on both the backplane side and the line interface side of a serial link. The AD5766/AD5767 are 16-channel, 16-bit/12-bit, voltage output denseDAC? digital-to-analog converters (DACs).The DACs generate output voltage ranges from an external 2.5 V reference. Depending on the voltage range selected, the midpoint of the output span can be adjusted, allowing a minimum output voltage as low as ?20 V or a maximum output voltage of up to +14 V. Each of the 16 channels can be monitored with an integrated output voltage multiplexer.The AD5766/AD5767 have integrated output buffers that can sink or source up to 20 mA. In conjunction with these buffers, a low frequency signal can be superimposed onto each DAC output via dedicated dither pins. These dedicated dither pins simplify the system design by reducing the number of external components required for a similar external implementation, like operational amplifiers or resistors. The reduction of external components makes the AD5766/AD5767 suitable for indium phosphide Mach Zehnder modulator (InP MZM) biasing applications.The devices incorporate a power-on reset (POR) circuit that ensures that the DAC outputs are clamped to ground on power up and remain at this level until the output range of the DAC is configured.
