The AD7171 is a very low power, 16-bit, analog-to-digitalconverter (ADC). It contains a precision, 16-bit, ?-? ADC andan on-chip oscillator. Consuming only 135 ?A, the AD7171 isparticularly suitable for portable or battery operated productswhere very low power is a requirement. The AD7171 also has apower-down mode in which the device consumes 5 ?A, thusincreasing the battery life of the product. For ease of use, dedicated pins control all of the features of theAD7171. Each time a data read occurs, eight status bits areappended to the 16-bit conversion. These status bits contain apattern sequence that can be used to confirm the validity of theserial transfer. The output data rate of the AD7171 is 125 Hz, whereas the settlingtime is 24 ms. The AD7171 has one differential input and a gainof 1. This is useful in applications where the user needs to use anexternal amplifier to implement system-specific filtering or gainrequirements. The AD7171 operates with a power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V.It is available in a 10-lead LFCSP.The AD7170 is a 12-bit version of the AD7171. Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7192 is a low noise, complete analog front end for high precision measurement applications. It contains a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta (?-?) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The on-chip low noise gain stage means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.The device can be configured to have two differential inputs or four pseudo differential inputs. The on-chip channel sequencer allows several channels to be enabled, and the AD7192 sequentially converts on each enabled channel. This simplifies communication with the part. The on-chip 4.92 MHz clock can be used as the clock source to the ADC or, alternatively, an external clock or crystal can be used. The output data rate from the part can be varied from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.The device has two digital filter options. The choice of filter affects the rms noise/noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, the settling time, and the 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection. For applications that require all conversions to be settled, the AD7192 includes a zero latency feature. The part operates with a power supply from 3 V to 5.25 V. It consumes a current of 4.35 mA. It is housed in a 24-lead TSSOP package.ApplicationsWeigh scalesStrain gage transducersPressure measurementPressure measurementTemperature measurementChromatographyPLC/DCS analog input modulesData acquisitionMedical and scientific instrumentation

These parts operate from a single 2.7 V to 5.25 V power supply and achieve very low power dissipation at high throughput rates of up to 1 MSPS.The AD7441 / AD7451 contain a low noise, wide bandwidth, differential track-and-hold (T/H) amplifier that handles input frequencies up to 3.5 MHz. The reference voltage for these devices is applied externally to the VREF pin and can range from 100 mV to VDD, depending on the power supply and what suits the application. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using overbar: CS and the serial clock, allowing the device to interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signals are sampled on the falling edge of overbar: CS when the conversion is initiated. The SAR architecture of these parts ensures that there are no pipeline delays.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Operation with 2.7 V to 5.25 V Power Supplies. High Throughput with Low Power Consumption. With a 3 V supply, the AD7441 / AD7451 offer 4 mW maxi-mum power consumption for a 1 MSPS throughput rate. Pseudo Differential Analog Input. Flexible Power/Serial Clock Speed Management. The conversion rate is determined by the serial clock, allowing the power to be reduced as the conversion time is reduced through the serial clock speed increase. These parts also feature a shutdown mode to maximize power efficiency at lower throughput rates. Variable Voltage Reference Input. No Pipeline Delays. Accurate Control of Sampling Instant via overbar: CS Input and Once-Off Conversion Control.
