DC1638A: Demo Board for LTC5587 6 GHz RMS Power Detector with Digital Output.

Demonstration circuits 1645A-A, 1645A-B, 1645A-C and 1645A-D feature the LTM8061, a 32V, 2A μModule® Li-Ion battery charger. Operating from a 6.5V to 32V input source, the 1645A-A and 1645A-B demo circuits charge single cell Li-Ion batteries to float voltages of 4.1V or 4.2V respectively. The 1645A-C and 1645A-D demo circuits operate from a 12V to 32V input source, and charge dual cell Li-Ion battery packs to float voltages of 8.2V or 8.4V. JP1 turns the converter on or off. JP2 allows for easy selection of C/10 or timer charge termination.

Demonstration Circuit DC1658A is a 20V High Efficiency Nanopower Step-Down Regulator featuring the LTC3388-1/ LTC3388-3. The LTC3388 is an ultralow quiescent current power supply designed to regulate the output voltage by means of a nanopower high efficiency synchronous buck regulator. The input current is only 720nA typical at no load while maintaining output voltage regulation, capable of supplying 50mA of load current. The LTC3388-1/ LTC3388-3 also in-corporates an accurate undervoltage lockout feature to disable the converter and maintain a low quiescent current state when the input voltage falls below 2.3V. In regulation, the LTC3388-1/LTC3388-3 enter a sleep state in which both input and output quiescent currents are minimal. The buck converter turns on and off as needed to maintain regulation. An additional standby mode disables the buck switching while the  output is in regulation for short duration loads requiring low ripple.

Demonstration circuit 1668B-A is a PolyPhase® power supply featuring two LTM4627 high efficiency synchronous buck μModule® regulators. The DC1668B-A input voltage range is between 4.5V to 20V with a jumper programmable output voltage from 0.6V to 3.3V. The demo circuit can deliver up to 30A of load with excellent current-sharing. Current derating may be necessary under certain operating conditions.

Demonstration circuit 1675A is a high efficiency, 6-phase, synchronous buck converter with a 7V to 14V input range that utilizes two LTC3829 controllers. It can supply 120A maximum load current with a 1.5V output voltage. The LTC3829 is a feature-rich single-output 3-phase synchronous buck controller with on-chip drivers and remote output voltage sensing.

Demonstration circuit 1721B is a 14.6V, 5A battery charger and PowerPath™ manager with 6VIN to 36VIN buck-boost converter featuring the LTC4000-1/LTC3789, targeted at 4-cell LiFePO4 applications. The LTC4000-1 has an input voltage regulation loop for Maximum Power Point Control (MPPC). MPPC extracts near maximum power from high impedance sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, or fuel cells. The output of this demo board was specifically tailored for a Tenergy 10A-hour battery, P/N 30207. Other voltages can be set by changing ROFB2 and RBFB2. The desired nominal voltage can be accurately trimmed by using trim resistors R42 and R43. For example, for 14.4V battery float voltage, change ROFB2 and RBFB2 to 86.6k, and add 7.5M at R42 and R43 for greater set point accuracy. This circuit was designed to demonstrate the high levels of performance, efficiency, and small solution size attainable using these ICs in a buck-boost converter battery charger, intelligent PowerPath manager, and power supply. It operates at 400kHz and produces a regulated 5A/14.6V battery charger output as well as a system output of up to 6.25A from an input voltage range of 6V to 36V: suitable for a wide variety of portable applications including instruments, industrial equipment, power tools, and computers.

Demonstration circuit 1734A features the dual channel LT8582 in boost and inverting regulator configurations. The circuit is designed to convert a 5V to 10V input source to 12V at 900mA and –12V at 590mA. To limit the temperature rise of the chip to 40°C, on the demo board with no air flow, the maximum combined output power is 15W. Additional input bulk capacitance may be needed, subject to source impedance. DC1734A is designed to survive output short circuit events.

DC1747A-A: Demo Board for LTM2882 Dual Isolated RS232 µModule Transceiver + Power.

The LTC1517-5 is a micropower charge pump DC/DC converter that produces a regulated 5V output. The input voltage range is 2.7V to 5V. Extremely low operating current (typically 6?A with no load) and low external parts count (one 0.1?F flying capacitor and two small bypass capacitors at VIN and VOUT) make the part ideally suited for small, light load battery-powered applications. The total printed circuit board area of the application circuit shown below is only 0.045in2.The part operates as a Burst Mode? switched-capacitor voltage doubler to produce a regulated output. The part has thermal shutdown capability and can survive a continuous short circuit from VOUT to GND.
