Demonstration Circuit DC1702A is a Li-Ion/Polymer Shunt Battery Charger system with Low Battery Disconnect featuring the LTC4071EDDB. The LTC4071 allows simple charging of Li-Ion/Polymer batteries from very low current, intermittent or continuous charging sources. The DC1702 provides up to 50mA of output current at 4.1V from a 10V to 16V input supply. A near-zero current low battery latching disconnect function protects even the lowest capacity batteries from deep discharge and potentially irreparable damage. The 550nA to 50mA operating current makes charging possible from previously unusable sources. With its low operating current the LTC4071 is well suited to charge low capacity Li-Ion or thin film batteries in energy harvesting applications.

The AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 are 16-bit, simultaneous sampling, analog-to-digital data acquisition systems (DAS) with eight, six, and four channels, respectively. Each part contains analog input clamp protection, a second-order antialiasing filter, a track-and-hold amplifier, a 16-bit charge redistribution successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a flexible digital filter, a 2.5 V reference and reference buffer, and high speed serial and parallel interfaces.The AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 operate from a single 5 V supply and can accommodate ?10 V and ?5 V true bipolar input signals while sampling at throughput rates up to 200 kSPS for all channels. The input clamp protection circuitry can tolerate voltages up to ?16.5 V. The AD7606 has 1 M? analog input impedance regardless of sampling frequency. The single supply operation, on-chip filtering, and high input impedance eliminate the need for driver op amps and external bipolar supplies. The AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 antialiasing filter has a 3 dB cutoff frequency of 22 kHz and provides 40 dB antialias rejection when sampling at 200 kSPS. The AD8432 is a dual-channel, low power, ultralow noiseamplifier with selectable gain and active impedance matching.Each channel has a single-ended input, differential output, andintegrated input clamps. By pin strapping the gain setting pins, four accurate gains of G = 12.04 dB, 18.06 dB, 21.58 dB, and 24.08 dB (?4, ?8, ?12, and ?16, respectively) are possible. A bandwidth of200 MHz at G = 12.04 dB makes this amplifier well suited for many high speed applications.The exceptional noise performance of the AD8432 is madepossible by the active impedance matching. Using a feedback network, the input impedance of the amplifiers can be adjusted to match the signal source impedance without compromising the noise performance. Impedance matching and low noise in the AD8432 allow designers to create wider dynamic rangesystems that are able to detect even very low level signals. The AD8432 achieves 0.85 nV/?Hz input-referred voltage noise fora gain of 12.04 dB. The AD8432?s ultralow noise, low distortion, gain accuracy, and channel-to-channel matching are ideal for high performance ultrasound systems and for processing I/Qdemodulator signals.The AD8432 operates on a single supply of 5 V at 24 mA. It isavailable in a 4 mm ? 4 mm, 24-lead LFSCP. The LFCSP featuresan exposed paddle that provides a low thermal resistance path to the PCB, which enables more efficient heat transfer and increasesreliability.
