The LTC1734 is a low cost, single cell, constant-current/constant-voltage Li-Ion battery charger controller. When combined with a few external components, the SOT-23 package forms a very small, low cost charger for single cell lithium-ion batteries.The LTC1734 is available in 4.1V and 4.2V versions with 1% accuracy. Constant current is programmed using a single external resistor between the PROG pin and ground. Manual shutdown is accomplished by floating the program resistor while removing input power automatically puts the LT1734 into sleep mode. Both the shutdown and sleep modes drain near zero current from battery.Charge current can be monitored via the voltage on the PROG pin allowing a microcontroller or ADC to read the current and determine when to terminate the charge cycle. The output driver is both current limited and thermally protected to prevent the LTC1734 from operating outside of safe limits. No external blocking diode is required.The LTC1734 can also function as a general purpose current source or as a current source for charging nickel-cadmium (NiCd) and nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) batteries using external termination. The AD9522-11 provides a multioutput clock distribution function with subpicosecond jitter performance, along with an on-chip PLL and VCO. The on-chip VCO tunes from 2.27 GHz to 2.65 GHz. An external 3.3 V/5 V VCO/VCXO of up to 2.4 GHz can also be used.The AD9522 serial interface supports both SPI and I2C? ports. The AD5228 is Analog Devices? latest 32-step-up/step-down control digital potentiometer emulating mechanical potentiometer operation. Its simple up/down control interface allows manual control with just two external pushbutton tactile switches. The AD5228 is designed with a built-in adaptive debouncer that ignores invalid bounces due to contact bounce commonly found in mechanical switches. The debouncer is adaptive, accommodating a variety of pushbutton tactile switches that generally have less than 10 ms of bounce time during contact closures. When choosing the switch, the user should consult the timing specification of the switch to ensure its suitability in an AD5228 application.The AD5228 can increment or decrement the resistance in discrete steps or in autoscan mode. When the PU or PD button is pressed briefly (no longer than 0.6 s), the resistance of the AD5228 changes by one step. When the PU or PD button is held continuously for more than a second, the device activates the autoscan mode and changes four resistance steps per second.The AD5228 can also be controlled digitally; its up/down features simplify microcontroller usage. The AD5228 is available in a compact thin SOT-23-8 (TSOT-8) package. The HMC835LP6GE is a low noise, wide band, Fractional-N PLL that features an integrated VCO with a fundamental frequency of 2020 to 4100 MHz, and an integrated VCO Output Divider (divide by 2/4/6/.../60/62) that together enable the HMC835LP6GE to generate frequencies from 33 MHz to 4100 MHz. Integrated Phase Detector (PD) and a deltasigma modulator capable of operating at up to 100 MHz enable wider loop-bandwidths, faster frequency changes along with excellent spectral performance.Two independent RF outputs, with independent gain control, enable the HMC835LP6GE to distribute identical frequency and phase signals to multiple destinations, at optimal signal levels tailored to each output.External VCO input, allows the HMC835LP6GE to lock external VCOs, and enables cascaded LO architectures for MIMO radio applications. Two separate Charge Pump (CP) outputs enable separate loop filters optimized for both integrated and external VCOs, and seamless switching between integrated or external VCOs during operation.
