Demonstration circuit 2158A hosts a high accuracy RMS Power Detector featuring the LTC5596 IC. This device is a wide dynamic range RMS RF Power Detector operational from 100MHz to 40GHz. The input dynamic range with 1dB accuracy is up to 35dB depending on frequency. The detector output voltage slope is normally 29mV/dB. The DC2158A Demo Circuit is optimized for wide operational frequency range up to 40GHz with 2.9mm SMK edge mount connector. Input impedance to LTC5596 is internally matched to 50Ω. It is suitable for RMS measurements of high crest factor waveforms up to 12dB peak/average ratio. No external coupling capacitor is necessary if DC voltage at RFIN pin is kept below 1.0V. The AD5758 is a single-channel, voltage and current output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that operates with a power supply range from ?33 V (minimum) on AVSS to +33 V (maximum) on AVDD1 with a maximum operating voltage between the two rails of 60 V. On-chip dynamic power control (DPC) minimizes package power dissipation, which is achieved by regulating the supply voltage (VDPC+) to the VIOUT output driver circuitry from 5 V to 27 V using a buck dc-to-dc converter, optimized for minimum on-chip power dissipation. The CHART pin enables a HART? signal to be coupled onto the current output.The device uses a versatile 4-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI) that operates at clock rates of up to 50 MHz and is compatible with standard SPI, QSPI?, MICROWIRE?, DSP, and microcontroller interface standards. The interface also features an optional SPI cyclic redundancy check (CRC) and a watchdog timer (WDT). The AD5758 offers improved diagnostic features from its predecessors, such as an integrated 12-bit diagnostic analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Additional robustness is provided by the inclusion of a line protector on the VIOUT, +VSENSE, and ?VSENSE pins. When used with its companion power management unit (PMU)/isolator (ADP1031), the AD5758 is capable of enabling customers to develop an eight channel to channel isolated analog output module with less than 2 W power dissipation, while meeting CISPR 11 Class B. Demonstration circuits 1053A-E through 1053A-H exercise the LTC3526L family of high efficiency synchronous boost converters, and are capable of operating with an input voltage range from 0.8V to 5.5V. The 2 × 2 mm DFN thermally enhanced package, high switching frequency (1MHz or 2MHz) and 550mA internal power switches provide a very tiny solution. The LTC3526L family also features output disconnect, and the input voltage can be greater or less than the output voltage. DC1053A-E features the LTC3526L (Burst mode operation) and the DC1053A-F features the LTC3526LB (Burst mode defeated). Both have a 1MHz switching frequency and use a 4.7µH inductor.

The ADP1071-1/ADP1071-2 are pulse-width modulation (PWM) current mode fixed frequency synchronous flyback controllers designed for isolated dc-to-dc power supplies. Analog Devices proprietary iCouplers? are integrated in the ADP1071-1/ADP1071-2 to eliminate the bulky signal trans-formers and optocouplers that transmit signals over the isolation boundary. Integrating the iCouplers reduces system design complexity, cost, and component count and improves overall system reliability. With the integrated isolators and metal-oxide semiconductor field effect transistor (MOSFET) drivers on both the primary and the secondary side, the ADP1071-1/ADP1071-2 offer a compact system level design and yield a higher efficiency than a diode rectified flyback converter at heavy loads.Output regulation is achieved by sensing the output voltage on the secondary side, where the feedback and the PWM signals are transmitted between the primary and secondary sides through the iCouplers.The ADP1071-1/ADP1071-2 are offered in a 16-lead SOIC_W package with an isolation voltage rating of 5 kV rms. The ADF7030-1 is a fully integrated, radio transceiver achieving high performance at very low power. The ADF7030-1 is ideally suited for applications that require long range, network robustness, and long battery life. It is suitable for applications that operate in the ISM, SRD, and licensed frequency bands at 169.4 MHz to 169.6 MHz, 426 MHz to 470 MHz, and 863 MHz to 960 MHz. It provides extensive support for standards-based protocols like IEEE802.15.4g while also providing flexibility to support a wide range of proprietary protocols.The highly configurable low intermediate frequency (IF) receiver supports a large range of receiver channel bandwidths from 2.6 kHz to 406 kHz. This range of receiver channel bandwidths allows the ADF7030-1 to support ultranarrow-band, narrow-band, and wideband channel spacing.The ADF7030-1 features two independent PAs supporting output power ranges of ?20 dBm to +13 dBm and ?20 dBm to +17 dBm. The PAs support ultrafine adjustment of the power with a step resolution of 0.1 dB. The PA output power is exceptionally robust over temperature and voltage. The PAs have an automatic power ramp control to limit spectral splatter to meet regulatory standards.The ADF7030-1 features an on-chip ARM??Cortex?-M0 processor that performs radio control, radio calibration, and packet management. Cortex-M0 eases the processing burden of the host processor because the ADF7030-1 integrates the lower layers of a typical communication protocol stack. This internal processor also permits the download and execution of Analog Devices, Inc., provided firmware modules that can extend the functionality of the ADF7030-1.The ADF7030-1 has two packet modes: generic packet mode and IEEE802.15.4g mode. In generic packet mode, the packet format is highly flexible and fully programmable, thereby ensuring its compatibility with proprietary packet formats. In IEEE802.15.4g packet mode, the packet format conforms to the?IEEE802.15.4g standard. FEC, as per the IEEE802.15.4g standard, is also supported.The ADF7030-1 operates with a power supply range of 2.2 V to 3.6 V and has very low power consumption in both Tx and Rx modes, enabling long lifetimes in battery-operated systems. An ultralow power deep sleep mode achieves a typical current of 10 nA with the configuration memory retained.A complete wireless solution can be built using a small number of external discrete components and a host processor (typically a microcontroller). The host processor can configure the ADF7030-1 using a simple command-based protocol over a standard 4-wire SPI interface. A single-byte command transitions the radio between states or performs a radio function.The ADF7030-1 is available in two package types: a 6 mm ? 6 mm, 40-lead LFCSP and a 7 mm ? 7 mm, 48-lead LQFP. Both package types use NiPdAu plating to mitigate against silver migration in high humidity applications.
