Analog Devices Inc.
The LTC4352 creates a near-ideal diode using an external N-channel MOSFET. It replaces a high power Schottky diode and the associated heat sink, saving power and board area. The ideal diode function permits low loss power ORing and supply holdup applications. The LTC4352 regulates the forward voltage drop across the MOSFET to ensure smooth current transfer in diode-OR applications. A fast turn-on reduces the load voltage droop during supply switch-over. If the input supply fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse currents. The controller operates with supplies from 2.9V to 18V. For lower voltages, an external supply is needed at the VCC pin. Power passage is disabled during undervoltage or overvoltage conditions. The controller also features an open MOSFET detect circuit that ?ags excessive voltage drop across the pass transistor in the on state. A REV pin enables reverse current, overriding the diode behavior when desired.Applications Redundant Power Supplies Supply Holdup Telecom Infrastructure Computer Systems and Servers

The LTC3615/LTC3615-1 are dual 3A synchronous stepdown regulators using a current mode, constant-frequency architecture. The DC supply current is only 130?A (Burst Mode operation at no-load) while maintaining the output voltages, dropping to zero current in shutdown. The 2.25V to 5.5V input supply range makes the parts ideally suited for single Li-Ion applications. 100% duty cycle capability provides low dropout operation, which extends operating time in battery-operated systems. The operating frequency is externally programmable up to 4MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors. 0?, 90?, or 180? (LTC3615) or 140?/180? (LTC3615-1) of phase shift between the two channels can be selected to minimize input current ripple and output voltage ripple in a dual 3A or single 6A output configuration. Programmable slew rate limiting reduces EMI, and external synchronization can be applied up to 4MHz.The internal synchronous switches increase efficiency and eliminate the need for external catch diodes, saving external components and board space. The LTC3615/LTC3615-1 are offered in leadless 24-pin 4mm ? 4mm QFN and thermally enhanced 24-pin eTSSOP packages.Applications Point-of-Load Supplies Distributed Power Supplies Portable Computer Systems DDR Memory Termination Handheld Devices

EV-AD4020-REF-DGNZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD4020 is a high accuracy, high speed, low power, 20-bit, Easy Drive, precision successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply, VDD. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage. The AD4020 power scales linearly with throughput.Easy Drive features reduce both signal chain complexity and power consumption while enabling higher channel density. The reduced input current, particularly in high-Z mode, coupled with a long signal acquisition phase, eliminates the need for a dedicated ADC driver. Easy Drive broadens the range of companion circuitry that is capable of driving these ADCs (see Figure 2 in the data sheet).Input span compression eliminates the need to provide a negative supply to the ADC driver amplifier while preserving access to the full ADC code range. The input overvoltage clamp protects the ADC inputs against overvoltage events, minimizing disturbances on the reference pin, and eliminating the need for external protection diodes.?Fast device throughput up to 1.8 MSPS allows users to accurately capture high frequency signals and to implement oversampling techniques to alleviate the challenges associated with antialias filter designs. Decreased serial peripheral interface (SPI) clock rate requirements reduce digital input/output power consumption, broadens digital host options, and simplifies the task of sending data across digital isolation. The SPI-compatible serial user interface is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, and 5 V logic by using the separate VIO logic supply.APPLICATIONS Automatic test equipment Machine automation Medical equipment Battery-powered equipment Precision data acquisition systems Instrumentation and control systems

EV-AD7284TMSDZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7284 contains all the functions required for the general-purpose monitoring of stacked Li-Ion batteries, as used in hybrid electric vehicles and battery backup applications. The AD7284 has multiplexed cell voltage and auxiliary, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) measurement channels supporting four to eight cells of battery management. The device provides a maximum total unadjusted error, TUE, (cell voltage accuracy) of ?3 mV that includes all the internal errors from input to output. The primary ADC resolution is 14 bits. The AD7284 also includes an integrated secondary measurement path that validates the data on the primary ADC. Other diagnostic features include the detection of open inputs, communication, and power supply related faults. The AD7284 cell balancing interface outputs control the external field effect transistors (FETs) to allow discharging of individual cells. There are two on-chip 2.5 V voltage references: one reference for the primary measurement path, and one for the secondary measurement path. The AD7284 operates from one VDD supply, ranging from 10 V to 40 V. The device provides eight differential analog input channels to accommodate large common-mode signals across the full VDD range. Each channel allows an input signal range, VPINx ? VPIN(x ? 1) and VSINx ? VSIN(x ? 1), of 0 V to 5 V, where x = 0 to 8. The input pins assume a series stack of eight cells. The AD7284 includes four auxiliary ADC input channels that can be used for temperature measurement or system diagnostics. The AD7284 has a differential daisy-chain interface that allows multiple devices to be stacked without the need for individual device isolation. By design, this interface allows both device to device communication within the same module and communication between devices on different modules.Applications Li-Ion battery monitoring Electric and hybrid electric vehicles Stationary power applications

EV-ADF4372SD2Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADF4372 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. The wideband microwave voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) design allows frequencies from 62.5 MHz to 16 GHz to be generated. The ADF4372 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 4000 MHz to 8000 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to a divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuit that allows the user to generate radio frequency (RF) output frequencies as low as 62.5 MHz at RF8x. A frequency multiplier at RF16x generates from 8 GHz to 16 GHz. RFAUX8x duplicates the frequency range of RF8x or permits direct access to the VCO output. To suppress the unwanted products of frequency multiplication, a harmonic filter exists between the multiplier and the output stage of RF16x.Control of all on-chip registers is through a 3-wire interface. The ADF4372 operates with analog and digital power supplies ranging from 3.15 V to 3.45 V, and 5 V for the VCO power supply. The ADF4372 also contains hardware and software power-down modes.APPLICATIONS Wireless infrastructure (multicarrier global system for mobile communication (MC-GSM), 5 G) Test equipment and instrumentation Clock generation Aerospace and defense
