The LTC4368 protects applications from power supply voltages that may be too high, too low, or even negative and from overcurrent faults in both forward and reverse directions. The LTC4368 controls the gate voltage of a pair of external N-channel MOSFETs to ensure that the load is connected to the input supply only when there are no voltage or current faults.Two comparator inputs allow configuration of the overvoltage (OV) and undervoltage (UV) set points using an external resistive divider. A current sense resistor sets the forward and reverse circuit breaker current thresholds. After a forward current fault, the LTC4368 will either latchoff power, or retry after a user adjustable delay. After a reverse current fault, the LTC4368 waits for the output to fall 100mV below the input to reconnect power to the load.The LTC4368 has a 32ms turn-on delay that debounces live supply input connections and blocks 50Hz and 60Hz AC power. The LTC3351 is a backup power controller that charges and monitors a series stack of one to four supercapacitors. The LTC3351?s synchronous step-down controller drives N-channel MOSFETs for constant current/constant voltage charging with programmable input current limit. In addition, the step-down converter runs in reverse as a step-up converter to deliver power from the supercapacitor stack to the backup supply rail. Internal balancers eliminate the need for external balance resistors and each capacitor has a shunt regulator for overvoltage protection.The LTC3351 monitors system voltages, currents, stack capacitance and ESR which can all be read over the I2C/SMBus port. The hot swap controller uses N-channel MOSFETs for inrush control and a low loss path from the input to the output. The ideal diode controller uses an N-channel MOSFET for a low loss power path from the supercapacitors to the output. The LT1997-3 combines a precision operational amplifier with highly-matched resistors to form a one-chip solution for accurately amplifying voltages. Gains from ?13 to +14 with accuracy of 0.006% (60ppm) can be achieved using no external components. The LT1997-3 is particularly well suited for use as a difference amplifier, where the excellent resistor matching results in a common mode rejection ratio of greater than 91dB.The amplifier features a 60?V maximum input offset voltage and a -3dB bandwidth of 1.1MHz (Gain = 1). LTM4655 Low EMI Dual 13V to 28VIN, +12V/4AOUT and –12V/2.2AOUT Negative μModule Regulator

Demonstration circuit 2594A is a step-down DC/DC converter and an inverting DC/DC converter with a 13V to 28V input voltage range, +12V at 4A, and –12V at up to 2.5A outputs featuring the LTM4655. The LTM4655 is a EN55022B compliant 40V, dual 4A or single 8A step-down or 50W inverting DC/DC μModule® Regulator. The switching frequencies of both channels are set at 1.2MHz on DC2594A. If the output voltage collapses sufficiently due to an overload or short-circuit condition, the internal oscillator will fold-back to one-fifth of the LTM4655’s programmed switching frequency, protecting the power switch from damage. The two channels can be paralleled for higher output current. See the data sheet for more information on setting up the board for paralleling the two outputs. The LTM4655 data sheet gives a complete description of the device, its operation and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with the demo manual prior to working on or modifying DC2594A.
