Demonstration Circuit 164 is a constant-frequency step-down (buck) regulator using the LTC1624 switching regulator controller. DC164 is ideal for a wide range of portable, industrial, computer and communications applications. It provides up to 3A of output current at a user-selectable (via a jumper) output voltage of 2.5V, 3.3V or 5V. The input voltage can range from 4.8V to 28V (limited by the external MOSFET).

Demonstration circuit DC1667A is a step-down DC/DC converter using LTC3600 monolithic synchronous buck regulator. DC1667A has an input voltage range of 4.5V to 15V, and is capable of delivering up to 1.5A of output current. The output voltage of the DC1667 can be set by a single resistor from 0V to (VIN – 0.5)V. At light load conditions, DC1667 can operate in discontinuous mode to improve the efficiency.

The LTM4627 is a complete 15A output high efficiency switch mode DC/DC power supply. Included in the package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor and compensation components. Operating over an input voltage range from 4.5V to 20V, the LTM4627 supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5V, set by a single external resistor. Only a few input and output capacitors are needed.Current mode operation allows precision current sharing of up to four LTM4627 regulators to obtain 60A output. High switching frequency and a current mode architecture enable a very fast transient response to line and load changes without sacrificing stability.
