The LTC3122 is a synchronous step-up DC/DC converter with true output disconnect and inrush current limiting. The 2.5A current limit along with the ability to program output voltages up to 15V makes the LTC3122 well suited for a variety of demanding applications. Once started, operation will continue with inputs down to 500mV, extending runtime in many applications. The LTC3122 features output disconnect in shutdown, dramatically reducing input power drain and enabling VOUT to completely discharge. Adjustable PWM switching from 100kHz to 3MHz optimizes applications for highest efficiency or smallest solution footprint. The oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock for noise sensitive applications. Selectable Burst Mode operation reduces quiescent current to 25?A, ensuring high efficiency across the entire load range. An internal soft-start limits inrush current during start-up.Other features include a <1?A shutdown current and robust protection under short-circuit, thermal overload, and output overvoltage conditions. The LTC3122 is offered in both a low profile 12-lead (3mm ? 4mm ? 0.75 mm) DFN package and a 12-lead thermally enhanced MSOP package.Applications RF Power Piezo Actuators Small DC Motors 12V Analog Rail From Battery, 5V, or Backup Capacitor

The LTC3355 is a complete input power interrupt ride-through DC/DC system. The part charges a supercapacitor while delivering load current to VOUT, and uses energy from the supercapacitor to provide continuous VOUT backup power when VIN power is lost. The LTC3355 contains a nonsynchronous constant frequency current mode monolithic 1A buck switching regulator to provide a 2.7V to 5V regulated output voltage from an input supply of up to 20V.A 1A programmable CC/CV linear charger charges the supercapacitor from VOUT. When the VIN supply drops below the PFI threshold, the devices?s constant frequency nonsynchronous current mode 5A boost switching regulator delivers power from the supercapacitor to VOUT. A thermal regulation loop maximizes charge current while limiting the die temperature to 110?C. The IC has boost, charger and VIN programmable current limits. The LTC3355 is available in a 20-lead 4mm ? 4mm QFN surface mount package.Applications Ride-Through ?Dying Gasp? Supplies Power Meters/Industrial Alarms/Solid State Drives

The LTC3305 balances up to 4 lead-acid batteries connected in series. It is intended to be used in conjunction with a separate pre-existing battery charger as part of a high performance battery system. All voltage monitoring, gate drive, and fault detection circuitry is integrated. The LTC3305 employs an auxiliary battery or an alternative storage cell to transfer charge to or from each individual battery in the stack. A mode pin provides two operating modes, timer mode and continuous mode. In timer mode, once the balancing operation is completed, the LTC3305 goes into a low power state for a programmed time and then periodically rebalances the batteries. In continuous mode, the balancing operation continues even after the batteries are balanced to their programmed termination voltage. The LTC3305 is available in a thermally enhanced 38-lead TSSOP package.Applications Telecom Backup Systems Home Battery Powered Backup Systems Industrial Electric Vehicles Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Medical Equipment
