Demonstration circuit 2085 supports the LTC2000 and LTC2000A, a high speed, high dynamic range family of DACs. It was specially designed for applications that require differential DC coupled outputs. Demonstration circuit 1894B is a daisy-chainable isoSPI battery-stack monitor featuring the LTC6804-1. These boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface to monitor any number of cells on a stack.

Demonstration Circuit 1394A shows how the LT3480 high voltage step-down regulator can be used with the LTC4098 USB-compatible Li-Ion battery charger to design a 2 input source battery charger circuit that also provides power to the load from the LT3480, a 5V wall adapter or the batteries based on available power. The LTC4098 interfaces with a number of ADI switching regulators to provide a high efficiency, high voltage power path. The LT3480 operates from 8V to 38V (60V transients) and provides 2A with a voltage range that is mode and load dependent.

The ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ and the ADP8861SHIELD-EVALZ incorporate light emitting diodes (LEDs) for quick and easy evaluation of the ADP8860 and the ADP8861. Note that only the ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ has dual light intensity sensors. The ADP8860SHIELD-EVALZ and the ADP8861SHIELD-EVALZ follow the form factor of a regular Arduino® shield to allow compatibility with microcontroller boards that use the same interface. These evaluation boards also incorporate a separate header dedicated to I2C communications. The ADP8860 and the ADP8861 are 7-channel LED drivers that utilizes a charge pump with selective gain for maximum efficiency. The LEDs driven by either device are programmable for maximum current and fade in and out times via the I2C interface. Only the ADP8860 has a programable light intensity threshold that can be set via the I2C interface of the device. Each channel can handle up to 30 mA (typical), except for the seventh channel, which can handle 60 mA (typical). Each channel can be unified to have the same fade in time and fade out time, or each channel can have an individual fade in time and fade out time for greater flexibility. Demonstration circuit 2515B features the LTC6810-1, a 6-channel battery-stack monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2515B demo board also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components, and DuraClik connectors are optimized for Low EMI Susceptibility and Emissions. The DC2515B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026 Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026C provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2515B isoSPI port (J4 or J5 connector). The DC2792B companion board provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.
