The LTC3736-2 is a 2-phase dual synchronous step-down switching regulator controller with tracking that drives external complementary power MOSFETs using few external components. The constant-frequency current mode architecture with MOSFET VDS sensing eliminates the need for sense resistors and improves efficiency. Power loss and noise due to the ESR of the input capacitance are minimized by operating the two controllers out-of-phase.Pulse-skipping operation provides high efficiency at light loads. 100% duty cycle capability provides low dropout operation, extending operating time in battery-powered systems. The switching frequency can be programmed up to 750kHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. For noise sensitive applications, the LTC3736-2 switching frequency can be externally synchronized from 250kHz to 850kHz. An internal soft-start, which can be lengthened externally, smoothly ramps the output voltage during start-up.The LTC3736-2 is available in the tiny thermally enhanced (4mm ? 4mm) QFN and 24-lead narrow SSOP packages. EV-21564-SOMS

Analog Devices Inc.
Reaching speeds of up to 1 GHz, the ADSP-2159x processors are members of the SHARC? family of products. The ADSP-2159x processor is a dual-SHARC+? core DSP that doubles the audio performance of its single-SHARC+ core ADSP-2156x predecessor while maintaining pin-compatibility to it in the BGA package, providing design scalability from 400 MHz (ADSP-21566) to 2 GHz (ADSP-21593).The ADSP-2159x SHARC processors are members of the SIMD SHARC family of digital signal processors (DSPs) that feature Analog Devices, Inc., Super Harvard Architecture. These 32-bit/40-bit/64-bit floating-point processors are optimized for high performance audio/floating-point applications with large on-chip static random-access memory (SRAM), multiple internal buses that eliminate input/output (I/O) bottlenecks, and innovative digital audio interfaces (DAI). New additions to the SHARC+ core include cache enhancements and branch prediction, while maintaining instruction set compatibility to previous SHARC products.By integrating a rich set of industry-leading system peripherals and memory (see Table 1 in the data sheet), the SHARC+ processor is the platform of choice for applications that require programmability similar to reduced instruction set computing (RISC), multimedia support, and leading edge signal processing in one integrated package. These applications span a wide array of markets, including automotive, professional audio, and industrial-based applications that require high floating-point performance.APPLICATIONS Automotive: audio amplifier, head unit, ANC/RNC, rear seat entertainment, digital cockpit, ADAS Consumer & Professional Audio: speakers, sound bars, AVRs, conferencing systems, mixing consoles, microphone arrays, headphones

EV-ADF4193SD2Z

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADF4193 frequency synthesizer can be used to implement local oscillators in the upconversion and downconversion sections of wireless receivers and transmitters. Its architecture is specifically designed to meet the GSM/EDGE lock time requirements for base stations. It consists of a low noise, digital phase frequency detector (PFD), and a precision differential charge pump. There is also a differential amplifier to convert the differential charge pump output to a single-ended voltage for the external voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO).The ?-?-based fractional interpolator, working with the N divider, allows programmable modulus fractional-N division. Additionally, the 4-bit reference (R) counter and on-chip frequency doubler allow selectable reference signal (REFIN) frequencies at the PFD input. A complete phase-locked loop (PLL) can be implemented if the synthesizer is used with an external loop filter and a VCO. The switching architecture ensures that the PLL settles inside the GSM time slot guard period, removing the need for a second PLL and associated isolation switches. This decreases cost, complexity, PCB area, shielding, and characterization on previous ping-pong GSM PLL architectures.Applications GSM/EDGE base stations PHS base stations Instrumentation and test equipment

EVAL-ADV8002EBZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADV8002 is a multi-input video signal processor that can de-interlace and scale SD, ED, or HD video data to HD formats, generate a bitmap on-screen display (OSD), and output the video with OSD overlaid on two High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) transmitters and/or a video encoder.Video can be input into the ADV8002 in a number of ways: using the 36-bit TTL pixel port, using the 24-bit external OSD TTL pixel port, or from a HDMI transmitter such as ADV7623?or ADV7511. The ADV8002 supports input and output formats as outlined in the CEA-861 specification, as well as several other widely used timing formats.Using external DDR2 memories, the ADV8002 can perform high performance motion-adaptive interlaced to progressive conversion. Two video scalers allow the ADV8002 to support two different output resolutions.Detail enhancement and image enhancing techniques such as random, mosquito, and block noise reduction allow for improved final image quality. The ADV8002 can either accept OSD information from an external OSD source on the 24-bit external OSD TTL pixel data input or internally generate a high-quality, bitmap-based OSD. Analog Devices, Inc., provides an OSD development tool to assist in the design, debug, and emulation of the OSD prior to integration with the system application.Video can be output from the ADV8002 using one or both of the HDMI transmitters and/or the 6-DAC SD/HD video encoder. The flexible multiplexing in the part allows simultaneous output of HD formats on the HDMI transmitters and HD DACs (for example, 1080p) and SD formats on the SD DACs (for example, 480i).Both of the HDMI transmitters on ADV8002 support all mandatory and many optional 3D video resolutions, CEC, and ARC. The ADV8002 can receive up to 6-channels of I2S, S/PDIF, direct stream digital (DSD), and high bit rate (HBR).The six 12-bit NSV video DACs allow for composite (CVBS), S Video (Y/C), and component (YPrPb) analog outputs in standard, enhanced, and high definition video formats. Oversampling of 216 MHz (SD and ED) and 297 MHz (HD) removes the requirement for external output filtering. The ADV8002 supports the I2C? protocol for communication with the system microcontroller.APPLICATIONS High-end A/V receivers Upconverting DVD players/recorders Blu-ray players/recorders Set-top boxes Video conferencing Standalone video processors HDMI splitters
