Demonstration circuit 862 is a micropower regulated charge pump DC/DC converter featuring the 60mA output LTC3221 in a 2mmx2mm DFN package. It comes in three assembly versions, DC862A-A, DC862A-B and DC862A-C, featuring the LTC3221EDC-3.3 (fixed 3.3V output), the LTC3221EDC-5 (fixed 5V output) , and LTC3221EDC (adjustable output set to 3V), respectively. The demo board input voltage range depends on the IC used; for the 3.3V output DC862A-A, the input voltage range is 1.8V to 4.4V. The LTC3221's low 8µA no-load quiescent current is even lower than the self-discharging current of many batteries. By employing a constant current to charge the output, the output ripple is low even at high input and light load, and is fairly constant over the full input voltage range.

The LTC1923 is a pulse width modulator intended for thermoelectric cooler (TEC) or heater applications requiring either unidirectional or bidirectional drive circuits. All of the necessary control circuitry and two sets of complementary output drivers are integrated into the LTC1923 to drive a full bridge, providing an efficient means of bidirectional current flow to the TEC. An accurate temperature control loop to stabilize the temperature of a laser diode system is easily achieved with the addition of just a few external components. Typical temperature setpoint accuracy of 0.1?C is achievable with the LTC1923. Adding an instrumentation amplifier front end allows setpoint stability of 0.01?C.The part features independent adjustable heating and cooling pulse-by-pulse current limit, current soft-start for controlled start-up, output slew rate control to reduce system noise, differential current sense and voltage amplifiers and a host of auxiliary circuits to protect the laser and provide redundant system monitoring.Applications Laser-Based Fiber Optic Links Medical Instruments CPU Temperature Regulators

The LT3495/LT3495B/LT3495-1/LT3495B-1 are low noise boost converters with integrated power switch, feedback resistor and output disconnect circuitry. The parts control power delivery by varying both the peak inductor current and switch off-time. This novel* control scheme results in low output voltage ripple as well as high efficiency over a wide load range. For the LT3495/LT3495-1, the off-time of the switch is not allowed to exceed a ?xed level, guaranteeing the switching frequency stays above the audio band for the entire load range. The parts feature a high performance NPN power switch with a 650mA and 350mA current limit for the LT3495/LT3495B and LT3495-1/LT3495B-1 respectively. The quiescent current is a low 60?A, which is further reduced to 0.1?A in shutdown. The internal disconnect circuitry allows the output voltage to be isolated from the input during shutdown. An auxiliary reference input (CTRL pin) overrides the internal 1.235V feedback reference with any lower value allowing full control of the output voltage during operation. The ADG1634L is a monolithic industrial CMOS (iCMOS?) analog switch comprising four independently selectable single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches, respectively.All channels exhibit break-before-make switching action that prevents momentary shorting when switching channels. An EN input on the ADG1634L is used to enable or disable the device. When disabled, all channels are switched off. The switch is enabled with a Logic 1 EN input, while the INx input defines the state of the SPDT switch (see Table 12 in the data sheet).The ultralow on resistance and on-resistance flatness of the switch makes it an ideal solution for data acquisition and gain switching applications, where low distortion is critical. iCMOS construction ensures ultra low power dissipation, making the device ideally suited for portable and battery-powered instruments.An external VL supply provides flexibility for lower logic control. The ADBMS6816 is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to six series connected battery cells with a lifetime total measurement error (TME) of less than 1.5 mV. The cell measurement range of 0 V to 5 V makes the ADBMS6816 suitable for most battery chemistries. All six cells can be measured in 304 ?s, and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction.Multiple ADBMS6816 devices can be connected in series, permitting simultaneous cell monitoring of long, high voltage battery strings. The ADP5091/ADP5092 are intelligent, integrated energy harvesting, ultralow power management unit (PMU) solutions that convert dc power from PV cells or TEGs. These devices charge storage elements such as rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, thin film batteries, super capacitors, or conventional capacitors, and power up small electronic devices and battery free systems.The ADP5091/ADP5092 provide efficient conversion of the harvested limited power from a 6 ?W to 600 mW range with submicrowatt operation losses. With the internal cold start circuit, the regulator can start operating at an input voltage as low as 380 mV. After cold startup, the regulator is functional at an input voltage range of 0.08 V to 3.3 V. An additional 150 mA regulated output can be programmed by an external resistor divider or the VID pin.The MPPT control keeps the input voltage ripple in a fixed range to maintain stable dc-to-dc boost conversion. The dynamic sensing mode and no sensing mode, both programming regulation points of the input voltage, allow extraction of the highest possible energy from the harvester. A programmable minimum operation threshold enables boost shutdown during a low input condition.As a low light indicator for a microprocessor, the LLD pin of the ADP5091 is the MINOP comparator output. However, the REG_GOOD flag of the ADP5092 monitors the REG_OUT voltage. In addition, the DIS_SW pin can temporarily shut down the boost regulator and is RF transmission friendly.The charging control function of the ADP5091/ADP5092 protects the rechargeable energy storage, which is achieved by monitoring the battery voltage with the programmable charging termination voltage and the shutdown discharging voltage.
