Demonstration circuit 2881A-A is a 2-phase dual-output, high efficiency, high density, synchronous buck converter with 7V to 14V input range. Each output can supply up to 30A maximum load current with 1V output. The demo board features the LTC3884-1 controller paired with the LTC7050 dual smart power stage to provide a 2-phase buck converter solution. The LTC3884-1 is a dual output poly phase step-down controller with digital power system management. The LTC7050 is a dual monolithic smart power stage which integrates high speed drivers with low resistance half-bridge power switches plus comprehensive monitoring and protection circuitry in an electrically and thermally optimized package. DC2881A-A powers up to default settings and produces power based on configuration resistors (or with the setting in its non-volatile memory) without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter. To fully explore the extensive power system management features of the part, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto your PC and use ADI’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. LTpowerPlay allows the user to reconfigure the part on the fly and store the configuration in EEPROM, view telemetry of voltage, current, temperature and fault status.

The LTC2380/LTC2379/LTC2378/LTC2377/LTC2376 are low power, low noise ADCs with serial outputs that can operate from a single 2.5V supply. The demo manual refers to the LTC2379-18 but applies to all parts in the family, the only difference being the maximum sample rates and the number of bits. The LTC2379-18 supports a ±5V fully differential input range with a 101dB SNR, consumes only 18mW and achieves ±2LSB INL max with no missing codes at 18-bits. Demonstration circuit 2515B features the LTC6810-1, a 6-channel battery-stack monitor. Multiple boards can be linked through a 2-wire isolated serial interface (isoSPI™) to monitor a long series of cells in a stack. The DC2515B demo board also features reversible isoSPI enabling a redundant communication path. The PCB, components, and DuraClik connectors are optimized for Low EMI Susceptibility and Emissions. The DC2515B can communicate to a PC by connecting a DC2792B dual master isoSPI together with DC2026 Linduino® One. The DC2026 must be loaded with the appropriate program (called a sketch) to control the battery stack monitor IC and receive data through a USB serial port. The DC2026C provides a standard SPI interface which can be translated to isoSPI and then connected to a DC2515B isoSPI port (J4 or J5 connector). The DC2792B companion board provides two SPI-isoSPI channels for reversible operation.
