AD8302 Arduino Shield Board with PC-Based Software GUI

The EVAL-AD8302-ARDZ shield illustrates the functionality of the AD8302, a gain and phase detector which operates from low frequency up to 2.7 GHz. The voltage outputs of the AD8302 are routed to the ANALOG IN connector of the Arduino base board. This allows the RF power detector’s output voltage to be easily digitized and processed by the Arduino base board’s integrated six-channel ADC.

Demonstration circuit 1219A-A, A-B, A-C and A-D are micropower low noise boost converters with output disconnect featuring the four different LT3495 versions: LT3495 (0.65A switch current, switching frequency above audible range), LT3495B (0.65A switch current), LT3495-1 (0.35 switch current, switching frequency above audible range) and LT3495B-1 (0.35A switch current). All versions convert a 3V-6V source to 15V. The A-A and A-B versions supply 75mA at 3VIN, while the A-C and A-D supply 36mA.
All versions feature a low noise control scheme, integrated output disconnect function, dimming control and a single output sense resistor.

The LT3681 is an adjustable frequency (300kHz to 2.8MHz) monolithic buck switching regulator that accepts input voltages up to 34V (36V maximum). A high efficiency 0.18? switch is included on the die along with a boost Schottky diode and the necessary oscillator, control, and logic circuitry. An undedicated power Schottky diode is integrated into the LT3681 to minimize the solution size. Current mode topology is used for fast transient response and good loop stability. Low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output currents while keeping output ripple below 15mV in a typical application. In addition, the LT3681 can further enhance low output current efficiency by drawing bias current from the output when VOUT is above 3V. Shutdown reduces input supply current to less than 1?A while a resistor and capacitor on the RUN/SS pin provide a controlled output voltage ramp (soft-start). A power good flag signals when VOUT reaches 90% of the programmed output voltage. The LTM9011-14/LTM9010-14/LTM9009-14 are 8-channel, simultaneous sampling 14-bit A/D converters designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals. AC performance includes 73.1dB SNR and 88dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Low power consumption per channel reduces heat in high channel count applications. Integrated bypass capacitance and flow-through pinout reduces overall board space requirements.DC specs include ?1LSB INL (typ), ?0.3LSB DNL (typ) and no missing codes over temperature. The transition noise is a low 1.2LSBRMS.The digital outputs are serial LVDS to minimize the number of data lines. Each channel outputs two bits at a time (2-lane mode). At lower sampling rates there is a one bit per channel option (1-lane mode).The ENC+ and ENC? inputs may be driven differentially or single-ended with a sine wave, PECL, LVDS, TTL, or CMOS inputs.
