The SSM3515 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, mono Class-D audio amplifier with digital inputs. The application circuit requires a minimum of external components and can operate from a single 4.5 V to 17 V supply. It can deliver 8.4 W of output power into an 8 ? load or 15.8 W into an 4 ? load from a 12 V power supply, or 31.3 W into an 4 ? load from a 17 V power supply, all with 1% THD + N.The SSM3515 features a high efficiency, low noise modulation scheme that requires no external LC output filters. This scheme provides high efficiency even at low output power. It operates with 92% efficiency at 7 W into an 8 ? load or 88% efficiency at 15 W into 4 ? from a 12 V supply.Spread spectrum pulse density modulation provides lower EMI radiated emissions compared with other Class-D architectures, particularly above 100 MHz.The digital input eliminates the need for an external digital-to-analog converter (DAC). The SSM3515 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 39 nA at the 12 V PVDD supply. The device also includes pop and click suppression circuitry that minimizes voltage glitches at the output during turn on and turn off.The SSM3515 operates with or without an I2C control interface. The SSM3515 is specified over the commercial temperature range (?40?C to +85?C). It has built in thermal shutdown and output short-circuit protection. The TMP05 / TMP06?are monolithic temperature sensors that generate a modulated serial digital output (PWM), which varies in direct proportion to the temperature of the devices. The high period (TH ) of the PWM remains static over all temperatures, while the low period (TL) varies. The B Grade version offers a high temperature accuracy of ?1?C from 0?C to 70?C with excellent transducer linearity. The digital output of the TMP05 / TMP06?is CMOS-/TTL-compatible and is easily interfaced to the serial inputs of most popular microprocessors. The flexible open-drain output of the TMP06 is capable of sinking 5 mA.The TMP05 / TMP06?are specified for operation at supply voltages from 3 V to 5.5 V. Operating at 3.3 V, the supply current is typically 370 ?A. The TMP05 / TMP06?are rated for operation over the ?40?Cto +150?C temperature range. It is not recommended to operate these devices at temperatures above 125?C for more than a total of 5% (5,000 hours) of the lifetime of the devices. They are packaged in low cost, low area SC-70 and SOT-23 packages.The TMP05 / TMP06?have three modes of operation: continuously converting mode, daisy-chain mode, and one shot mode. A three-state FUNC input determines the mode in which the TMP05 / TMP06?operate.The CONV/IN input pin is used to determine the rate at which the TMP05 / TMP06?measures temperature in continuously converting mode and one shot mode. Data rates from 1 kbps to 300 kbps are supported.The transmit RF synthesizer contains a VCO and a low noise fractional-N PLL with an output channel frequency resolution of 400 Hz. The VCO operates at 2? or 4?, the fundamental frequency to reduce spurious emissions. The receive and transmit synthesizer bandwidths are automatically, and independently, configured to achieve optimum phase noise, modulation quality, and settling time. The transmitter output power is programmable from ?20 dBm to +13.5 dBm, with automatic PA ramping to meet transient spurious specifications. The part possesses both single-ended and differential PAs, which allows for Tx antenna diversity.The receiver is exceptionally linear, achieving an IP3 specification of ?12.2 dBm and ?11.5 dBm at maximum gain and minimum gain, respectively, and an IP2 specification of 18.5 dBm and 27 dBm at maximum gain and minimum gain, respectively. The receiver achieves an interference blocking specification of 66 dB at ?2 MHz offset and 74 dB at ?10 MHz offset. Like all boards in the Signal Chain Power series, this board is designed to be easily plugged into other SCP boards to form a complete signal chain power system, enabling fast evaluation of low power signal chains. To evaluate this board, some universal SCP hardware is required, namely: SCP-INPUT-EVALZ SCP-OUTPUT-EVALZ SCP-1X5BKOUT-EVALZ SCP-THRUBRD-EVALZ SCP-FILTER-EVALZ SCP-1X2BKOUT-EVALZ SCP-5X1-EVALZ   To properly evaluate SCP series demo boards, you will need the SCP Configurator companion software. SCP Configurator can help you choose the right board and topology for your design. Note that the Demo Manual does not cover details important to the operation and configuration regarding the LT1962. Please refer to the LT1962 data sheet for a complete description of the part.
