Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 are precision instrumentation amplifiers with thermocouple cold junction compensators on an integrated circuit. They produce a high level (5 mV/°C) output directly from a thermocouple signal by combining an ice point reference with a precalibrated amplifier. They can be used as standalone thermometers or as switched output setpoint controllers using either a fixed or remote setpoint control. The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 can be powered from a single-ended supply (less than 3 V) and can measure temperatures below 0°C by offsetting the reference input. To minimize self-heating, an unloaded AD849x typically operates with a total supply current of 180 μA, but it is also capable of delivering in excess of ±5 mA to a load. The AD8494 and AD8496 are precalibrated by laser wafer trimming to match the characteristics of J type (iron-constantan) thermocouples; the AD8495 and AD8497 are laser trimmed to match the characteristics of K type (chromel-alumel) thermo-couples. See Table 1 on the data sheet for the optimized ambient temperature range of each part. The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 allow a wide variety of supply voltages. With a 5 V single supply, the 5 mV/°C output allows the devices to cover nearly 1000 degrees of a thermo-couple’s temperature range. The AD8494/AD8495/AD8496/AD8497 work with 3 V supplies, allowing them to interface directly to lower supply ADCs. They can also work with supplies as large as 36 V in industrial systems that require a wide common-mode input range.Product Highlights Complete, precision laser wafer trimmed thermocouple signal conditioning system in a single IC package. Flexible pinout provides for operation as a setpoint controller or as a standalone Celsius thermometer. Rugged inputs withstand 4 kV ESD and provide over-voltage protection (OVP) up to VS ± 25 V. Differential inputs reject common-mode noise on the thermocouple leads. Reference pin voltage can be offset to measure 0°C on single supplies. Available in a small, 8-lead MSOP that is fully RoHS compliant. AD8214ARMZ-R7
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD8214 is a fast response, high common-mode voltage, current shunt comparator. The device operates on the high side rail of any DC current sensing application, provided the voltage is between 5 V and 65 V. Internally, the AD8214 features a fast comparator that is optimized for high side operation. An internal Zener regulator powers the circuit with respect to the high side DC rail. In addition, user access to this 2.4V regulator, allows for setting a comparator threshold voltage via external resistors. The AD8214 will compare the voltage across the shunt resistor to this user-selected threshold, and the AD8214 output will change states from low to high, indicating the current across the shunt has crossed the threshold level. The input to output response time of the AD8214 is typically less than 100 ns. This makes the device optimal for overcurrent protection in applications such as motor and solenoid control. Built-in comparator hysteresis means that once the current across the shunt falls back to a normal limit, the AD8214 output will change states to its original level. The AD8214 is available in an 8-lead MSOP package. The operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C, and the device is fully qualified for automotive applications.ApplicationsOvercurrent protection Motor controls Transmission controls Diesel injection controls DC-to-DC converters Power supplies Batteries
AD8253ARMZ-R7

The AD8253 is an instrumentation amplifier with digitally programmable gains that has gigaohm (GΩ) input impedance, low output noise, and low distortion, making it suitable for interfacing with sensors and driving high sample rate analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).It has a high bandwidth of 10 MHz, low THD of −110 dB, and fast settling time of 780 ns (maximum) to 0.001%. Offset drift and gain drift are guaranteed to 1.2 µV/°C and 10 ppm/°C, respectively, for G = 1000. In addition to its wide input common voltage range, it boasts a high common-mode rejection of 100 dB at G = 1000 from dc to 20 kHz. The combination of precision dc performance coupled with high speed capabilities makes the AD8253 an excellent candidate for data acquisition. Furthermore, this monolithic solution simplifies design and manufacturing and boosts performance of instrumentation by maintaining a tight match of internal resistors and amplifiers. The AD8253 user interface consists of a parallel port that allows users to set the gain in one of two different ways (see Figure 1 for the functional block diagram). A 2-bit word sent via a bus can be latched using the WR input. An alternative is to use transparent gain mode, where the state of logic levels at the gain port determines the gain. The AD8253 is available in a 10-lead MSOP package and is specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range, making it an excellent solution for applications where size and packing density are important considerations.ApplicationsData acquisition Biomedical analysis Test and measurement

The AD7277 is a 10-bit, high speed, low power, successive-approximation ADC. The parts operate from a single 2.35 V to 3.6 V power supply and feature throughput rates of up to 3 MSPS. The parts contain a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 55 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CS and the serial clock, allowing the devices to interface with microprocessors or DSPs.
