The AD8475 is a fully differential, attenuating amplifier with integrated precision gain resistors. It provides precision attenuation (by 0.4 or 0.8), common-mode level shifting, and single-ended-to-differential conversion along with input overvoltage protection. Power dissipation on a single 5 V supply is only 16 mW.The AD8475 is a simple to use, fully integrated precision gain block, designed to process signal levels of up to ±10 V on a single supply. It provides a complete interface to make industrial level signals directly compatible with the differential input ranges of low voltage high performance 16-bit or 18-bit single-supply successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs).The AD8475 comes with two standard pin-selectable gain options: 0.4 and 0.8. The gain of the part is set by driving the input pin corresponding to the appropriate gain.The AD8475 also provides overvoltage protection from large industrial input voltages up to ±15 V while operating on a single 5 V supply. The VOCM pin adjusts the output voltage common mode for precision level shifting, to match the ADC’s input range and maximize dynamic range.The AD8475 works extremely well with SAR, Σ-Δ, and pipeline converters. The high current output stage of the part allows it to drive the switched capacitor front-end circuits of many ADCs with minimal error.Unlike many differential drivers in the market, the AD8475 is a high precision amplifier. With 500 μV maximum output offset, 10 nV/√Hz output noise, and −112 dB THD + N, the AD8475 pairs well with high accuracy converters. Considering its low power consumption and high precision, the slew-enhanced AD8475 has excellent speed, settling to 18-bit precision for 4 MSPS acquisition.The AD8475 is available in a space-saving 16-lead 3 mm × 3 mm LFCSP package and a 10-lead MSOP package. The ADL5304 is a high speed logarithmic converter with fast response and low noise over a 200 dB (1 pA to 10 mA) measurement range. The ADL5304 provides a nominal logarithmic slope of 10 mV/dB (200 mV/decade); other values are easily configured. Logarithmic intercept can be programmed over a wide range with the internal 100 nA current source or externally for log ratio applications.The default intercept value of 3.162 fA places the midpoint of the measurement range of 100 nA at VLOG = 1.5 V.A single positive supply of 5 V is all that is required for operation over a specified 1 pA to 3 mA input range. Dual-supply operation extends the specified input current range to 10 mA.The ADL5304 accepts two current inputs to the logarithmic argument. The numerator input, INUM, flows in the collector of an NPN transistor, connected in a feedback path around a low offset JFET amplifier. The denominator current, IDEN, is treated in the same way, which allows for log ratio operation. The input summing nodes (INUM and IDEN) operate at a constant default voltage of 1.5 V. The VSM1 to VSM4 pins flank the INUM and IDEN inputs to provide a guard voltage to minimize leakage currents.Adaptive photodiode biasing is provided for optical measurements. A monitor current 1.1 times INUM is output at the IMON pin, and an external resistor, RMNTR, at 10 times the photodiode series resistance (RS) applies a voltage across the photodiode that 1st order keeps the internal PD junction at 0 V to minimize dark current.The VLOG output is buffered and can be rescaled through internal gain setting resistors. The internal ILOG varies from −400 μA to +400 μA as INUM changes over 10 decades from 1 pA to 10 mA. This corresponds to 0.5 V to 2.5 V at the VLOG pin in the default configuration shown in Figure 1.Accurate 1.5 V (Pin 1P5V) and 2.0 V (Pin 2VLT) reference outputs allow precise repositioning of the intercept using external resistors.The ADL5304 is available in a 32-lead, 5 mm × 5 mm LFCSP and specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C.Applications High accuracy optical power measurement Wide range baseband log compression Versatile detector for high speed APC loops

The OP193/OP293 are single-supply operational amplifiers that feature a combination of high precision, low supply current, and the ability to operate at low voltages. For high performance in single-supply systems, the input and output ranges include ground, and the outputs swing from the negative rail to within 600 mV of the positive supply. For low voltage operation, the OP193/OP293 can operate down to +1.7 V or ±0.85 V.The combination of high accuracy and low power operation make the OP193/OP293 useful for battery-powered equipment. The part’s low current drain and low voltage operation allow it to continue performing long after other amplifiers have ceased functioning either because of battery drain or headroom.The OP193/OP293 are specified for single +2 V through dual ±15 V operation over the extended (−40°C to +125°C) temperature range.
