The ADCMP600, ADCMP601, and ADCMP602 are very fast comparators fabricated on Analog Devices’ proprietary XFCB2 process. These comparators are exceptionally versatile and easy to use. Features include an input range from − 0.5 V to VCC + 0.2 V, low noise TTL-/CMOS-compatible output drivers, and latch inputs with adjustable hysteresis and/or shutdown inputs.The devices offer 5 ns propagation delay with 10 mV overdrive on 3 mA typical supply current.A flexible power supply scheme allows the devices to operate with a single +2.5 V positive supply and a −0.5 V to +2.8 V input signal range up to a +5.5 V positive supply with a −0.5 V to +5.8 V input signal range. Split input/output supplies with no sequencing restrictions on the ADCMP602 support a wide input signal range while still allowing independent output swing control and power savings.The TTL-/CMOS-compatible output stage is designed to drive up to 5 pF with full timing specs and to degrade in a graceful and linear fashion as additional capacitance is added. The comparator input stage offers robust protection against large input overdrive, and the outputs do not phase reverse when the valid input signal range is exceeded. The OP27 precision operational amplifier combines the low offset and drift of the OP07 with both high speed and low noise. Offsets down to 25 μV and maximum drift of 0.6 μV/°C make the OP27 ideal for precision instrumentation applications. Low noise, en = 3.5 nV/√Hz, at 10 Hz, a low 1/f noise corner frequency of 2.7 Hz, and high gain (1.8 million), allow accurate high-gain amplification of low-level signals. A gain bandwidth product of 8 MHz and a 2.8 V/μs slew rate provide excellent dynamic accuracy in high speed, data-acquisition systems.A low input bias current of ±10 nA is achieved by use of a bias current cancellation circuit. Over the military temperature range, this circuit typically holds IB and IOS to ±20 nA and 15 nA, respectively.The output stage has good load driving capability. A guaranteed swing of ±10 V into 600 Ω and low output distortion make the OP27 an excellent choice for professional audio applications.PSRR and CMRR exceed 120 dB. These characteristics, coupled with long-term drift of 0.2 μV/month, allow the circuit designer to achieve performance levels previously attained only by discrete designs.Low cost, high volume production of OP27 is achieved by using an on-chip Zener zap-trimming network. This reliable and stable offset trimming scheme has proven its effectiveness over many years of production history.The OP27 provides excellent performance in low noise, high accuracy amplification of low level signals. The OP297 is the first dual op amp to pack precision performance into the space-saving, industry standard 8-pin SO package. Its combination of precision with low power and extremely low input bias current makes the dual OP297 useful in a wide variety of applications.Precision performance of the OP297 includes very low offset, under 50µV, and low drift, below 0.6µV/°C. Open-loop gain exceeds 2000V/mV insuring high linearity in every application. Errors due to common-mode signals are eliminated by the OP297's common-mode rejection of over 120 dB. The OP297's power supply rejection of over 120dB minimizes offset voltage changes experienced in battery powered systems. Supply current of the OP297 is under 625µA per amplifier and it can operate with supply voltages as low a ±2V.The OP297 utilizes a super-beta input stage with bias current cancellation to maintain picoamp bias currents at all temperatures. This is in contrast to FET input op amps whose bias currents start in the picoamp range of 25°C, but double for every 10°C rise in temperature, to reach the nanoamp range above 85°C. Input bias current of the OP297 is under 100pA at 25°C and is under 450pA over the military temperature range.Combining precision, low power and low bias current, the OP297 is ideal for a number of applications including instrumentation amplifiers, log amplifiers, phot-diode preamplifiers and long-term integrators. The SSM2142 is an integrated differential-output buffer amplifier that converts a single-ended input signal to a balanced output signal pair with high output drive. By utilizing low noise thermally matched thin film resistors and high slew rate amplifiers, the SSM2142 helps maintain the sonic quality of audio systems by eliminating power line hum, RF interference, voltage drops, and other externally generated noise commonly encountered with long audio cable runs. Excellent rejection of common-mode noise and offset errors is achieved by laser trimming of the onboard resistors, assuring high gain accuracy. The carefully designed output stage of the SSM2142 is capable of driving difficult loads, yielding low distortion performance despite extremely long cables or loads as low as 600 Ohm, and is stable over a wide range of operating conditions.Based on a cross-coupled, electronically balanced topology, the SSM2142 mimics the performance of fully balanced transformer-based solutions for line driving. However, the SSM2142 maintains lower distortion and occupies much less board space than transformers while achieving comparable common-mode rejection performance with reduced parts count.The SSM2142 in tandem with the SSM2141 differential receiver establishes a complete, reliable solution for driving and receiving audio signals over long cables. The SSM2141 features an Input Common-Mode Rejection Ratio of 100 dB at 60 Hz. The AD633 is a functionally complete, four-quadrant, analog multiplier. It includes high impedance, differential X and Y inputs, and a high impedance summing input (Z). The low impedance output voltage is a nominal 10 V full scale provided by a buried Zener. The AD633 is the first product to offer these features in modestly priced 8-lead PDIP and SOIC packages.The AD633 is laser calibrated to a guaranteed total accuracy of 2% of full scale. Nonlinearity for the Y input is typically less than 0.1% and noise referred to the output is typically less than 100 μV rms in a 10 Hz to 10 kHz bandwidth. A 1 MHz bandwidth, 20 V/μs slew rate, and the ability to drive capacitive loads make the AD633 useful in a wide variety of applications where simplicity and cost are key concerns.The versatility of the AD633 is not compromised by its simplicity. The Z input provides access to the output buffer amplifier, enabling the user to sum the outputs of two or more multipliers, increase the multiplier gain, convert the output voltage to a current, and configure a variety of applications.The AD633 is available in 8-lead PDIP and SOIC packages. The AD704 is a quad, low power bipolar op amp that has the low input bias current of a BiFET amplifier and offers a significantly lower IB drift over temperature. It uses superbeta bipolar input transistors to achieve picoampere input bias current levels (similar to FET input amplifiers at room temperature), while its IB typically increases only by 5× at 125°C (unlike a BiFET amp, for which IB doubles every 10°C, resulting in a 1000× increase at 125°C). In addition, the AD704 achieves 150 μV offset voltage and the low noise characteristics of a precision bipolar input op amp.Because it has only 1/20 the input bias current of an OP07, the AD704 does not require the commonly used balancing resistor. Furthermore, the current noise is 1/5 that of the OP07, which makes the AD704 usable with much higher source impedances. At 1/6 the supply current (per amplifier) of the OP07, the AD704 is better suited for today’s higher density circuit boards and battery-powered applications.The AD704 is an excellent choice for use in low frequency active filters in 12- and 14-bit data acquisition systems, in precision instrumentation, and as a high quality integrator. The AD704 is internally compensated for unity gain stability. The AD704J is rated over the commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The AD704A is rated over the industrial temperature of −40°C to +85°C. The OP400 is the first monolithic quad operational amplifier that features OP77-type performance. Precision performance is not sacrificed with the OP400 to obtain the space and costsavings offered by quad amplifiers.The OP400 features an extremely low input offset voltage of less than 150 μV with a drift of less than 1.2 μV/°C, guaranteed over the full military temperature range. Open-loop gain of the OP400 is more than 5 million into a 10 kΩ load, input bias current is less than 3 nA, CMR is more than 120 dB, and PSRR is less than 1.8 μV/V. On-chip Zener zap trimming is used to achieve the low input offset voltage of the OP400 and eliminates the need for offset nulling.
