The DS1343/DS1344 low-current real-time clocks (RTCs) are timekeeping devices that provide an extremely low standby current, permitting longer life from a backup supply source. The devices also support high-ESR crystals, broadening the pool of usable crystals for the devices. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either 24-hour or 12-hour format with an active-low AM/PM indicator.Address and data are transferred serially through an SPI™ or 3-wire interface. Two programmable time-of-day alarms are provided. Each alarm can generate an interrupt on a combination of seconds, minutes, hours, and day. Don't-care states can be inserted into one or more fields if it is desired for them to be ignored for the alarm condition. The time-of-day alarms can be programmed to assert two different interrupt outputs, or they can be combined to assert one common interrupt output. The DS3232M is a low-cost, extremely accurate, I²C real-time clock (RTC) with 236 bytes of battery-backed SRAM. The device incorporates a battery input and maintains accurate timekeeping when main power to the device is interrupted. The integration of the microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resonator enhances the long-term accuracy of the device and reduces the piece-part count in a manufacturing line.The RTC maintains seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with an active-low AM/PM indicator. Two programmable time-of-day alarms and a 1Hz output are provided. Address and data are transferred serially through an I²C bidirectional bus. A precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit monitors the status of VCC to detect power failures, to provide a reset output, and to automatically switch to the backup supply when necessary. Additionally, the active-low RST pin is monitored as a pushbutton input for generating a microprocessor reset. The LTC6951 is a high performance, low noise, Phase Locked Loop (PLL) with a fully integrated VCO. The low noise VCO uses no external components and is internally calibrated to the correct output frequency with no external system support.The clock generation section provides five outputs based on the VCO prescaler signal with individual dividers for each output. Four outputs feature very low noise, low skew CML logic. The fifth output is low noise LVDS. All outputs can be synchronized and set to precise phase alignment using the programmable delays.Choose the LTC6951-1 if any desired output frequency falls in the ranges 2.5GHz to 2.7GHz, 1.66GHz to 1.8GHz, or 1.25GHz to 1.35GHz. The LTC6954 is a family of very low phase noise clock distribution parts. Each part has three outputs and each output has an individually programmable frequency divider and delay. The MAX31331 ultra-low power, real-time clock (RTC) is a time-keeping device that consumes nominal 65nA timekeeping current, extending battery life. The MAX31331 supports a wide range of 32.768kHz crystals. A crystal with any capacitive loading (CL) spec can be used, which broadens the pool of usable crystals for this device. This device is accessed through an I2C serial interface.The device also features a backup supply pin (VBAT) and automatically switches over to the backup supply (VBAT) when the main supply (VCC) drops below the programmed threshold voltage and the backup supply (VBAT) voltage.Other features include two time-of-day alarms, interrupt outputs, programmable square-wave output, event detection input with timestamping, and a serial bus timeout mechanism. The 32-byte timestamp registers double as RAM storage. The device features a digital Schmitt trigger input (DIN) which can be used to record timestamps and/or generate an interrupt on the falling/rising edge of the DIN signal. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, month, year, and date information. A 1/128 second register is available for a sub-second timestamp resolution. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year.
