The DS1100 series delay lines have five equally spaced taps providing delays from 4ns to 500ns. These devices are offered in surface-mount packages to save PCB area. Low cost and superior reliability over hybrid technology is achieved by the combination of a 100% silicon delay line and industry-standard µMAX® and SO packaging. The DS1100 5-tap silicon delay line reproduces the input-logic state at the output after a fixed delay as specified by the extension of the part number after the dash. The DS1100 is designed to reproduce both leading and trailing edges with equal precision. Each tap can drive up to 10 74LS loads.Maxim can customize standard products to meet special needs.

The DS1244 256k NV SRAM with a Phantom clock is a fully static nonvolatile RAM (NV SRAM) (organized as 32k words by 8 bits) with a built-in real-time clock. The DS1244 has a self-contained lithium energy source and control circuitry, which constantly monitors VCC for an out-of-tolerance condition. When such a condition occurs, the lithium energy source is automatically switched on and write protection is unconditionally enabled to prevent garbled data in both the memory and real-time clock.The phantom clock provides timekeeping information for hundredths of seconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days, date, months, and years. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including correction for leap years. The phantom clock operates in either 24-hour or 12-hour format with an AM/PM indicator.

The DS1305 serial alarm real-time clock provides a full binary coded decimal (BCD) clock calendar that is accessed by a simple serial interface. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator. In addition, 96 bytes of NV RAM are provided for data storage. The DS1305 will maintain the time and date, provided the oscillator is enabled, as long as at least one supply is at a valid level. An interface logic power-supply input pin (VCCIF) allows the DS1305 to drive SDO and active-low PF pins to a level that is compatible with the interface logic. This allows an easy interface to 3V logic in mixed supply systems.The DS1305 offers dual-power supplies as well as a battery input pin. The dual power supplies support a programmable trickle charge circuit that allows a rechargeable energy source (such as a super cap or rechargeable battery) to be used for a backup supply. The VBAT pin allows the device to be backed up by a non-rechargeable battery. The DS1305 is fully operational from 2.0V to 5.5V.Two programmable time-of-day alarms are provided by the DS1305. Each alarm can generate an interrupt on a programmable combination of seconds, minutes, hours, and day. 'Don't care' states can be inserted into one or more fields if it is desired for them to be ignored for the alarm condition. The time-of-day alarms can be programmed to assert two different interrupt outputs or to assert one common interrupt output. Both interrupt outputs operate when the device is powered by VCC1, VCC2, or VBAT.The DS1305 supports direct serial peripheral interface SPI™ to serial data ports or standard 3-wire interface. A straightforward address and data format is implemented in which data transfers can occur 1 byte at a time or in multiple-byte-Burst Mode®.

The DS1682 is an integrated elapsed-time recorder containing a factory-calibrated, temperature-compensated RC time base that eliminates the need for an external crystal. Using EEPROM technology to maintain data in the absence of power, the DS1682 requires no backup power source. The DS1682 detects and records the number of events on the EVENT pin and the total cumulative event time since the DS1682 was last reset to 0. The active-low ALARM pin alerts the user when the total time accumulated equals the user-programmed alarm value. The polarity of the open-drain active-low ALARM pin can be programmed to either drive low or to become high impedance upon an alarm condition. The DS17285, DS17485, and DS17885 (hereafter referred to as the DS17x85) provide a real-time clock/calendar, one time-of-day alarm, three maskable interrupts with a common interrupt output, a programmable square wave, and 114 bytes of battery-backed NV SRAM. The DS17x85 also incorporates a number of enhanced functions including a silicon serial number, power-on/off control circuitry, and 2K, 4K, or 8Kbytes of battery-backed NV SRAM. The DS17287, DS17487, and DS17887 (hereafter referred to as the DS17x87) integrate a quartz crystal and lithium energy source into a 24-pin encapsulated DIP package. The DS17x85 and DS17x87 power-control circuitry allows the system to be poweredon by an external stimulus such as a keyboard or by a time-and-date (wake-up) alarm. The active-low PWR output pin is triggered by one or either of these events, and is used to turn on an external power supply.
