Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAU1966 is a high performance, single-chip DAC thatprovides 16 digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with differentialoutput using the Analog Devices, Inc., patented multibitsigma-delta (Σ-Δ) architecture. An SPI/I2C port is included, allowing a microcontroller to adjust volume and many otherparameters. The ADAU1966 operates from 2.5 V digital, 5 Vanalog and 3.3 V or 5 V input/output supplies. A linear regulatoris included to generate the digital supply voltage from the analogsupply voltage. The ADAU1966 is available in an 80-lead LQFPpackage. The ADAU1966 is designed for low EMI. This consideration isapparent in both the system and circuit design architectures.By using the on-board PLL to derive the internal master clockfrom an external LRCLK, the ADAU1966 can eliminate theneed for a separate high frequency master clock and can beused with or without a bit clock. The DACs are designed usingthe latest Analog Devices continuous time architectures tofurther minimize EMI. By using 2.5 V digital supplies, powerconsumption is minimized, and the digital waveforms are asmaller amplitude, further reducing emissions. The LTC2471/LTC2473 are small, 16-bit analog-to-digital converters with an integrated precision reference and a selectable 208sps or 833sps output rate. They use a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and communicate through an I2C Interface. The LTC2471 is single-ended with a 0V to VREF input range and the LTC2473 is differential with a ±VREF input range. Both ADCs include a 1.25V integrated reference with 2ppm/°C drift performance and 0.1% initial accuracy. The converters are available in a 12-pin DFN 3mm × 3mm package or an MSOP-12 package. They include an integrated oscillator and perform conversions with no latency for multiplexed applications. The LTC2471/LTC2473 include a proprietary input sampling scheme that reduces the average input current several orders of magnitude when compared to conventional delta sigma converters.Following a single conversion, the LTC2471/LTC2473 automatically power down the converter and can also be configured to power down the reference. When both the ADC and reference are powered down, the supply current is reduced to 200nA.The LTC2471/LTC2473 include a user selectable 208sps or 833sps output rate and due to a large oversampling ratio (8,192 at 208sps and 2,048 at 833sps) have relaxed anti-aliasing requirements.Applications System Monitoring Environmental Monitoring Direct Temperature Measurements Instrumentation Industrial Process Control Data Acquisition Embedded ADC Upgrades

AD5590BBCZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5590 is a 16-channel input and 16-channel output analog I/O port with eight uncommitted amplifiers, operating from a single 4.5 V to 5.25 V supply. The AD5590 comprises 16 input channels multiplexed into a 1 MSPS, 12-bit successive approximation ADC with a sequencer to allow a preprogrammed selection of channels to be converted sequentially. The ADC contains a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 1 MHz.The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using ASYNC and the serial clock signal, allowing the device to easily interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of ASYNC and conversion is also initiated at this point. There are no pipeline delays associated with the ADC. By setting the relevant bits in the control register, the analog input range for the ADC can be selected to be a 0 V to VREFA input or a 0 V to 2 × VREFA with either straight binary or twos complement output coding. The conversion time is determined by the ASCLK frequency because it is also used as the master clock to control the conversion. The DAC section of the AD5590 comprises sixteen 12-bit DACs divided into two groups of eight. Each group has an on-chip reference. The on-board references are off at power-up, allowing the use of external references. The internal references are enabled via a software write. The AD5590 incorporates a power-on reset circuit that ensures that the DAC outputs power up to 0 V and remain powered up at this level until a valid write takes place. The DAC contains a power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode for any or all DAC channels. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the LDAC function, with the added functionality of user-selectable DAC channels to simultaneously update. There is also an asynchronous CLR that updates all DACs to a user-programmable code: zero scale, midscale, or full scale. The AD5590 contains eight low noise, single-supply amplifiers. These amplifiers can be used for signal conditioning for the ADCs, DACs, or other independent circuitry, if required.APPLICATIONS Optical Line Cards (Monitoring and Control) Base Stations General Purpose Analog I/O Monitoring and control

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7190 is a low noise, complete analog front end for high precision measurement applications. It contains a low noise, 24-bit sigma-delta (Σ-Δ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The on-chip low noise gain stage means that signals of small amplitude can be interfaced directly to the ADC.The device can be configured to have two differential inputs or four pseudo differential inputs. The on-chip channel sequencer allows several channels to be enabled, and the AD7190 sequentially converts on each enabled channel. This simplifies communication with the part. The on-chip 4.92 MHz clock can be used as the clock source to the ADC or, alternatively, an external clock or crystal can be used. The output data rate from the part can be varied from 4.7 Hz to 4.8 kHz.The device has two digital filter options. The choice of filter affects the rms noise/noise-free resolution at the programmed output data rate, the settling time, and the 50 Hz/60 Hz rejection. For applications that require all conversions to be settled, the AD7190 includes a zero latency feature. The part operates with 5 V analog power supply and a digital power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. It consumes a current of 6 mA. It is housed in a 24-lead TSSOP package.APPLICATIONS Weigh scales Strain gauge transducers Pressure measurement Temperature measurement Chromatography PLC/DCS analog input modules Data acquisition Medical and scientific instrumentation
