In the data phase, the LVDS serial input is converted to 18 bits of parallel video data and in the control phase, the input is converted to 9 bits of parallel control data. The separate video and control phases take advantage of video timing to reduce the serial-data rate. The MAX9248/MAX9250 pair with the MAX9247 serializer to form a complete digital video transmission system. For operating frequencies less than 35MHz, the MAX9248/MAX9250 can also pair with the MAX9217 serializer.The MAX9248 features spread-spectrum capability, allowing output data and clock to spread over a specified frequency range to reduce EMI. The receiver has a one-eighth unit load, supporting up to 256 nodes per bus (C, I-Grade), and a fail-safe feature that guarantees a high output state under conditions of floating or shorted inputs.The driver maintains a high output impedance over the entire common mode range when disabled or when the supply is removed. Excessive power dissipation caused by bus contention or a fault is prevented by current limiting all outputs and by thermal shutdown.Enhanced ESD protection allows these parts to withstand ±15kV (human body model) on the transceiver interface pins without latch-up or damage. The LTC4309 hot swappable 2-wire bus buffer allows I/O card insertion into a live backplane without corruption of the data and clock busses. The LTC4309 provides bidirectional buffering, keeping the backplane and card capacitances isolated. Low offset and high VOL tolerance allows cascading of multiple devices on the clock and data busses. If SDAOUT or SCLOUT are low for 30ms, FAULT will pull low indicating a stuck bus low condition. If DISCEN is tied high, the LTC4309 will automatically break the bus connection and generate up to 16 clock pulses and a stop bit in an attempt to free the bus. A connection will resume if the stuck bus is cleared. If DISCEN is connected to GND, the busses will remain connected with no clock or stop bit generation. ACC input enables rise-time accelerators for high capacitively loaded busses.During insertion, the SDA and SCL lines are precharged to 1V to minimize bus disturbances. When driven high, the ENABLE input allows the LTC4309 to connect after a stop bit or bus idle. Driving ENABLE low breaks the connection between SDAIN and SDAOUT, SCLIN and SCLOUT. The MAX9860 is a low-power, voiceband, mono audio codec designed to provide a complete audio solution for wireless voice headsets and other mono voice audio devices. Using an on-chip bridge-tied load mono headphone amplifier, the MAX9860 can output 30mW into a 32Ω earpiece while operating from a single 1.8V power supply.
