Demonstration circuit DC266B-A is for the evaluation of 8th order filter circuits using an LTC1562 (no dash) and DC266B-B for an LTC1562-2. LTC1562 and LTC1562-2 are quad 2nd order active-RC filter building blocks. Each 2nd order section has an integrator trimmed with internal capacitors and resistors to 100kHz and 200 kHz for the LTC1562 and LTC1562-2 respectively. The trimmed frequency error is ±0.6% for the LTC1562A and ±1.5% for the LTC1562-2. The LTC1562 or LTC1562-2 2nd order sections can be configured with external resistors to implement lowpass, bandpass or highpass filters.

The SSM2167 is a complete and flexible solution for conditioning microphone inputs in personal electronics and computer audio systems. It is also excellent for improving vocal clarity in com-munications and public address systems. A low noise voltage controlled amplifier (VCA) provides a gain that is dynamically adjusted by a control loop to maintain a set compression characteristic. The compression ratio is set by a single resistor and can be varied from 1:1 to over 10:1 relative to the fixed rotation point. Signals above the rotation point are limited to prevent overload and to eliminate popping. A downward expander (noise gate) prevents amplification of background noise or hum. This results in optimized signal levels prior to digitization, thereby eliminating the need for additional gain or attenuation in the digital domain. The AD5162 provides a compact 3 mm × 4.9 mm packaged solution for dual 256 position adjustment applications. This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a 3-terminal mechanical potentiometer.Available in four different end-to-end resistance values (2.5 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, 100 kΩ), this low temperature coefficient device is ideal for high accuracy and stability-variable resistance adjustments.The wiper settings are controllable through the SPI compatible digital interface. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor. Each channel of the AD5204/AD5206 contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digital code loaded into the SPI-compatible serial-input register. The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. The variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 100 kΩ has a nominal temperature coefficient of 700 ppm/°C.Each VR has its own VR latch that holds its programmed resistance value. These VR latches are updated from an internal serial-to-parallel shift register that is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial-input digital interface. Eleven data bits make up the data-word clocked into the serial input register.
