The ADAU1401A is a complete, single-chip audio system with 28-/56-bit audio DSP, ADCs, DACs, and microcontroller-like control interfaces. Signal processing includes equalization, cross-over, bass enhancement, multiband dynamics processing, delay compensation, speaker compensation, and stereo image widening. This processing can be used to compensate for real-world limitations of speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments, providing dramatic improvements in perceived audio quality.The signal processing of the ADAU1401A is comparable to that found in high end studio equipment. Most processing is done in full 56-bit, double-precision mode, resulting in very good low level signal performance. The ADAU1401A is a fully programmable DSP. The easy to use SigmaStudio™ software allows the user to graphically configure a custom signal processing flow using blocks such as biquad filters, dynamics processors, level controls, and GPIO interface controls.The ADAU1401A programs can be loaded on power-up either from a serial EEPROM through its own self-boot mechanism or from an external microcontroller. On power-down, the current state of the parameters can be written back to the EEPROM from the ADAU1401A to be recalled the next time the program is run.Two Σ-Δ ADCs and four Σ-Δ DACs provide a 98.5 dB analog input to analog output dynamic. Each ADC has a THD + N of −83 dB, and each DAC has a THD + N of −90 dB. Digital input and output ports allow a glueless connection to additional ADCs and DACs. The SSM3302 is a fully integrated, high efficiency, stereo Class-D audio amplifier. The application circuit requires minimal externalcomponents and operates from a single 7 V to 18 V supply. The device is capable of delivering 2 × 10 W of continuous output power into a 4 Ω load (or 2 × 8 W into 8 Ω) with 98 dB. Spread spectrum pulse density modulation (PDM) is used toprovide lower EMI radiated emissions compared with other Class-D architectures. The SSM3302 includes an optional modulation select pin (ultralow EMI emission mode) that significantly reduces the radiated emissions at the Class-D outputs, particularly above 100 MHz. The SSM3302 can pass FCC Class-B emissions testing with an unshielded 20 inch cable using common-mode choke-based filtering.The fully differential input of the SSM3302 provides excellent rejection of common-mode noise on the input. The device also includes a highly flexible gain select pin that only requires one series resistor to choose a gain between 9 dB and 24 dB, with no change to the input impedance. The benefit of this is to improve gain matching between multiple SSM3302 devices within a single application compared with using external resistors to set gain.The SSM3302 includes an integrated voltage regulator thatgenerates a 5 V rail.The SSM3302 has a micropower shutdown mode with a typical shutdown current of 10 μA. Shutdown is enabled by applying a logic low to the SD pin. The device also includes pop-and-click suppression circuitry that minimizes voltage glitches at the output during turn on and turn off, reducing audible noise during activation and deactivation.Other included features to simplify system level integration of the SSM3302 are input low-pass filtering to suppress out-ofband DAC noise interference to the pulse density modulator, fixed input impedance to simplify component selection across multiple platform production builds, and a thermal warning indicator pin.The SSM3302 is specified over the commercial temperaturerange (−40°C to +85°C). It has built-in thermal shutdown andoutput short-circuit protection. The ADuM130x are triple-channel digital isolators based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives, such as optocouplers.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCoupler devices remove the design difficulties commonly associated with optocouplers. The typical optocoupler concerns regarding uncertain current transfer ratios, nonlinear transfer functions, and temperature and lifetime effects are eliminated with the simple iCoupler digital interfaces and stable performance characteristics. The need for external drivers and other discrete components is eliminated with these iCoupler products. Furthermore, iCoupler devices consume one-tenth to one-sixth of the power of optocouplers at comparable signal data rates.The ADuM130x isolators provide three independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide in the data sheet). Both models operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. In addition, the ADuM130x provide low pulse width distortion (<2 ns for CRW grade) and tight channel-to-channel matching (<2 ns for CRW grade). The ADuC7023 is a fully integrated, 1 MSPS, 12-bit data acquisition system, incorporating high performance multichannel ADCs, 16-bit/32-bit MCUs, and Flash/EE memory on a single chip.The ADC consists of up to 12 single-ended inputs. An additional four inputs are available but are multiplexed with the four DAC output pins. The ADC can operate in single-ended or differential input modes. The ADC input voltage is 0 V to VREF. A low drift band gap reference, temperature sensor, and voltage comparator complete the ADC peripheral set.The DAC output range is programmable to one of two voltage ranges. The DAC outputs have an enhanced feature of being able to retain their output voltage during a watchdog or software reset sequence.The devices operate from an on-chip oscillator and a PLL, generating an internal high frequency clock of 41.78 MHz. This clock is routed through a programmable clock divider from which the MCU core clock operating frequency is generated. The microcontroller core is an ARM7TDMI®, 16-bit/32-bit RISC machine that offers up to 41 MIPS peak performance. Eight kilobytes of SRAM and 62 kilobytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE memory are provided on chip. The ARM7TDMI core views all memory and registers as a single linear array.The ADuC7023 contains an advanced interrupt controller. The vectored interrupt controller (VIC) allows every interrupt to be assigned a priority level. It also supports nested interrupts to a maximum level of eight per IRQ and FIQ. When IRQ and FIQ interrupt sources are combined, a total of 16 nested interrupt levels are supported.On-chip factory firmware supports in-circuit download via the I2C serial interface port, and non-intrusive emulation is supported via the JTAG interface. These features are incorporated into a low cost QuickStart™ development system supporting this MicroConverter® family. The part contains a 16-bit PWM with five output signals.For communication purposes, the part contains 2 × I2C channels that can be individually configured for master or slave mode. An SPI interface supporting both master and slave modes is also provided.The parts operate from 2.7 V to 3.6 V and are specified over an industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. The ADuC7023 is available in either a 32-lead or 40-lead LFCSP package.
