MAX14515AEWA+T
Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX14515 high-voltage liquid lens driver features a high-voltage differential output controlled through an I²C interface. The MAX14515 uses a charge-pump-based boost converter and integrated H-bridge to provide a compact lens driver solution with minimal external components to achieve a small overall footprint suitable for small space constraints inside camera modules. The MAX14515 features an 8-bit monotonic DAC with a single differential high-voltage output controlled by a 2-wire I²C interface to set the amplitude. The high-voltage outputs are capable of delivering up to 42VRMS (min) into a 220pF liquid lens load at 1.0kHz (min). The MAX14515 also features two power-saving modes (shutdown mode and sleep mode) to minimize power consumption when the device is inactive. Shutdown mode places the device in a low-power state that resets all registers and disables the I²C interface to reduce current below 500nA (max). In sleep mode, the power-on reset circuit remains active. If no activity is detected on the I²C interface, current consumption is less than 3µA.The MAX14515 operates over the +2.7V to +5.5V supply voltage range, ideal for portable applications using lithium ion battery sources. The MAX14515 is specified over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range and is available in a small (1mm x 2mm) 8-bump WLP package.

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX14527/MAX14528 overvoltage protection devices feature a low 100mΩ (typ) RON internal FET and protect low-voltage systems against voltage faults up to +28V. When the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold, the internal FET is turned off to prevent damage to the protected components. The overvoltage protection threshold can be adjusted with optional external resistors to any voltage between 4V and 8V. With the OVLO input set below the external OVLO select voltage, the MAX14527/MAX14528 automatically choose the internal ±2.5% accurate trip thresholds. The internal overvoltage thresholds (OVLO) are preset to 5.75V typical (MAX14527) or 6.76V typical (MAX14528). The MAX14527/MAX14528 are also protected against overcurrent events with an internal thermal shutdown. The MAX14527/MAX14528 are offered in a small, 8-pin TDFN-EP package and operate over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.ApplicationsCell PhonesMedia PlayersPDAs and Palmtop Devices

MAX8934GETI+T
Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX8934G dual-input Li+/Li-Poly linear battery charger with Smart Power Selector™ safely charges a single Li+/Li-Poly cell in accordance with JEITA* recommendations. The MAX8934G monitors the battery temperature (TBATT) while charging, and automatically adjusts the fast-charge current and charge termination voltage as the battery temperature varies. The MAX8934G also monitors the battery temperature while the battery is discharging, and provides a warning flag (active-low OT) to the system in the event that the battery is over temperature. Safety region 2 is supported (see Figure 6 for details). An ultra-low IQ, always-on LDO provides an additional 3.3V supply for system power. The MAX8934G operates with either separate inputs for USB and AC adapter power, or from a single input that accepts both. All power switches for charging and switching the load between battery and external power are included on-chip. No external MOSFETs are required. The MAX8934G features a Smart Power Selector to make the best use of limited USB or adapter power. Input current limit and battery charge current limit are independently set. Input power not used by the system charges the battery. Charge current limit and DC current limit can be set up to 1.5A and 2A, respectively, while USB input current can be set to 100mA or 500mA. Automatic input selection switches the system load from battery to external power. The MAX8934G provides a SYS output voltage of 4.35V.Other features include overvoltage protection (OVP), open-drain charge status and fault outputs, power-OK monitors, charge timers, and a battery thermistor monitor. Additionally, on-chip thermal limiting reduces the battery charge-rate to prevent charger overheating. The MAX8934G is available in a 28-pin, 4mm x 4mm, TQFN package.ApplicationsDigital Still Cameras and Digital Video CamerasHandheld Game SystemsPDAs, Palmtop, and Wireless HandheldsPortable Media, MP3 Players, and PNDs

MAX4987AEETA+T
Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX4987AE are overvoltage protection devices with built-in ESD protection for USB data lines. These devices feature a low 100mΩ (typ) RON internal nFET switch and protect low-voltage systems against voltage faults up to +28V. When the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold or decreases below the under-voltage threshold, the internal nFET switch is turned off to prevent damage to the protected components. All switches feature a minimum 1.5A current-limit protection. During a short-circuit occurrence, the switch operates in an autoretry mode where the internal nFET switch is turned on to check if the fault has been removed. The autoretry interval is 30ms, and if the fault is removed, the nFET switch remains on.The MAX4987AE feature low-capacitance (3pF) ESD protection for USB data lines that allow transmission of high-speed USB 2.0 signals. The overvoltage threshold (OVLO) is preset to 6.15V. The undervoltage thresholds (UVLO) are preset to 2.55V (MAX4987AE). When the input voltage drops below the undervoltage (UVLO) threshold, the devices enter a low-current standby mode. All devices are offered in a small 2mm x 3mm, 8-pin TDFN package and operate over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.ApplicationsCell PhonesMedia Players
