The ADuM240D/ADuM240E/ADuM241D/ADuM241E/ADuM242D/ADuM242E are quad-channel digital isolators based on Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed, complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and monolithic air core transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers. The maximum propagation delay is 13 ns with a pulse width distortion of less than 3 ns at 5 V operation. Channel matching is tight at 3.0 ns maximum.The ADuM240D/ADuM240E/ADuM241D/ADuM241E/ADuM242D/ADuM242E data channels are independent and are available in a variety of configurations with a withstand voltage rating of 5.0 kV rms (see the Ordering Guide). The devices operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 1.8 V to 5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier.Unlike other optocoupler alternatives, dc correctness is ensured in the absence of input logic transitions. Two different fail-safe options are available, by which the outputs transition to a predetermined state when the input power supply is not applied or the inputs are disabled. The ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 are dual-channel, digital isolatorsbased on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology.Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformertechnology, these isolation components provide outstandingperformance characteristics superior to alternatives such asoptocoupler devices.By avoiding the use of LEDs and photodiodes, iCouplerdevices remove the design difficulties commonly associatedwith optocouplers. The ADuM3200Wand ADuM3201W are automotive grade versions qualifiedfor 125°C operation.In comparison to the ADuM1200 / ADuM1201 isolators, theADuM3200 / ADuM3201 isolators contain various circuit andlayout changes to provide increased capability relative to system-levelIEC 61000-4-x testing (ESD, burst, and surge). The precisecapability in these tests for either the ADuM1200 / ADuM1201or ADuM3200 / ADuM3201 products is strongly determined bythe design and layout of the user’s board or module. The ADN88341 is a monolithic TEC controller with an integrated TEC controller. It has a linear power stage, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) power stage, and two zero-drift, rail-to-rail operational amplifiers. The linear controller works with the PWM driver to control the internal power MOSFETs in an H-bridge configuration. By measuring the thermal sensor feedback voltage and using the integrated operational amplifiers as a proportional integral differential (PID) compensator to condition the signal, the ADN8834 drives current through a TEC to settle the temperature of a laser diode or a passive component attached to the TEC module to the programmed target temperature.The ADN8834 supports negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors as well as positive temperature coefficient (PTC) resistive temperature detectors (RTD). The target temperature is set as an analog voltage input either from a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) or from an external resistor divider.The temperature control loop of the ADN8834 is stabilized by PID compensation utilizing the built in, zero drift chopper amplifiers. The internal 2.50 V reference voltage provides a 1% accurate output that is used to bias a thermistor temperature sensing bridge as well as a voltage divider network to program the maximum TEC current and voltage limits for both the heating and cooling modes. The ADUM1241 is a micropower, dual-channel digital isolator which has a default high and 1/1 directionality based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology, (Quad-channel products available). Combining high speed CMOS andmonolithic air core transformer technologies, these isolationcomponents provide outstanding performance characteristicssuperior to alternatives, such as optocoupler devices, yet require the lowest power of any available isolation product.Packaged in an 8-lead SOIC, this series of quad, 3 kV digital isolationdevices operate with supplies as low as 2.5 V, offering thelowest available power consumption at a fraction of the power of comparable isolators at comparable data rates (up to 2 Mbps). As shown in Figure 3 in the data sheet, in standard operating mode, when ENx = 0 (internal refresh enabled), the current per channel is less than 10 μA. When ENx = 1 (internal refresh disabled), the current per channel drops to less than 1 μA.The ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 family of quad 2.5 kV digital isolation devices are packaged in a small 16-lead QSOP and 20-lead SSOP, freeing almost 70% of board space compared to isolators packages in wide body SOIC packages.The devices withstand high isolation voltages and meet regulatory requirements, such as UL and CSA standards. In addition to the space savings, the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 operate with supplies as low as 2.25 V.Despite the low power consumption, all models of the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 provide low, pulse width distortion at <8 ns. The ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 are micropower, 4-channel digital isolators based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed, complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and monolithic air core transformer technologies, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to the alternatives, such as optocoupler devices. As shown in Figure 3 in the data sheet, in standard operating mode, when ENx = 0 (internal refresh enabled), the current per channel is less than 10 μA. When ENx = 1 (internal refresh disabled), the current per channel drops to less than 1 μA.The ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 family of quad 2.5 kV digital isolation devices are packaged in a small 16-lead QSOP and 20-lead SSOP, freeing almost 70% of board space compared to isolators packages in wide body SOIC packages.The devices withstand high isolation voltages and meet regulatory requirements, such as UL and CSA standards. In addition to the space savings, the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 operate with supplies as low as 2.25 V.Despite the low power consumption, all models of the ADuM1440/ADuM1441/ADuM1442/ADuM1445/ADuM1446/ADuM1447 provide low, pulse width distortion at <8 ns.
