System-on-Module (SOM) Board to Evaluate the 1 GHz ADSP-2156x SHARC+® Family of Audio Processors
Analog Devices Inc.
The EV-21569-SOM with low-cost evaluation and rapid prototyping of the ADSP-2156× Family (ADSP-21562/21563/21565/21566/21567/21569) of SHARC+ audio processors. It features the processor, memory, and power portions of the design and provides an easy-to-use plug-n-play reference design with all the key interfaces made available on three connectors for marrying to either the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board or a custom carrier board. The EV-21569-SOM and EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT boards may be purchased as a bundle (EV-21569-EZKIT), providing fast and easy evaluation of the processor core and system peripherals/interfaces.
The EV-21569-SOM module requires the CrossCore® Embedded Studio (CCES) development tools to enable developers to achieve faster time to market. The development environment aids advanced application code development and debug, such as:
Create, compile, assemble, and link application programs written in C++, C, and assembly
Load, run, step, halt, and set breakpoints in application programs
Read and write data and program memory
Read and write core and peripheral registers
When used without the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board, the EV-21569-SOM board requires an external in-circuit emulator (ICE-1000 or ICE-2000) be connected to the JTAG header.

The LT6604-15 consists of two matched, fully differential amplifiers, each with a 4th order, 15MHz lowpass ?lter. The ?xed frequency lowpass ?lter approximates a Chebyshev response. By integrating a ?lter and a differential amplifier, distortion and noise are made exceptionally low. At unity gain, the measured in band signal-to-noise ratio is an impressive 76dB. At higher gains, the input referred noise decreases, allowing the part to process smaller input differential signals without significantly degrading the signal-to-noise ratio.Gain and phase are highly matched between the two channels. Gain for each channel is independently programmed using two external resistors. The LT6604-15 enables level shifting by providing an adjustable output common mode voltage, making it ideal for directly interfacing to ADCs.The LT6604-15 is fully specified for 3V operation. The differential design enables outstanding performance at a 2VP-P signal level for a single 3V supply. See the back page of this datasheet for a complete list of related single and dual differential amplifiers with integrated 2.5MHz to 20MHz lowpass ?lters.Applications Dual Differential ADC Driver Plus Filter Single-Ended to Differential Converter Matched, Dual, Differential Filter Stage Common Mode Translation of Differential Signals High Speed ADC Antialiasing and DAC Smoothing in Wireless Infrastructure or Networking Applications High Speed Test and Measurement Equipment Medical Imaging

The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445?/ ADAU1446?are enhanced audio processors that allow full flexibility in routing all input and output signals. The SigmaDSP? core features full 28-bit processing (56-bit in double-precision mode), synchronous parameter loading for ensuring filter stability, and 100% code efficiency with the SigmaStudio? tools. This DSP allows system designers to compensate for the real-world limitations of speakers, amplifiers, and listening environments, resulting in a dramatic improvement of the perceived audio quality through speaker equalization, multiband compression, limiting, and third-party branded algorithms. The flexible audio routing matrix (FARM) allows the user to multiplex inputs from multiple sources running at various sample rates to or from the SigmaDSP core. This drastically reduces the complexity of signal routing and clocking issues in the audio system. FARM includes up to eight stereo asynchronous sample rate converters (depending on the device model), Sony/ Philips Digital Interconnect Format (S/PDIF) input and output, and serial (I2S) and time division multiplexing (TDM) I/Os. Any of these inputs can be routed to the SigmaDSP core or to any of the asynchronous sample rate converters (ASRCs). Similarly, any one of the output signals can be taken from the SigmaDSP core or from any of the ASRC outputs. This routing scheme, which can be modified at any time via control registers, allows for maximum system flexibility. The ADAU1442, ADAU1445, and ADAU1446 differ only in ASRC functionality and packaging. The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 contain 16 channels of ASRCs and are packaged in TQFP packages, whereas the ADAU1446 contains no ASRCs and is packaged in an LQFP. The ADAU1442 can handle nine clock domains, the ADAU1445 can handle three clock domains, and the ADAU1446 can handle one clock domain. The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 / ADAU1446?can be controlled in one of two operational modes: the settings of the chip can be loaded and dynamically updated through the SPI/I2C? port, or the DSP can self-boot from an external EEPROM in a system with no microcontroller. There is also a bank of multipurpose (MP) pins that can be used as general-purpose digital I/Os or as inputs to the 4-channel auxiliary control ADC.The ADAU1442 / ADAU1445 / ADAU1446?are supported by the SigmaStudio graphical development environment. This software includes audio processing blocks such as FIR and IIR filters, dynamics processors, mixers, low level DSP functions, and third-party algorithms for fast development of custom signal flows.APPLICATIONS Automotive audio processing Head units Navigation systems Rear-seat entertainment systems DSP amplifiers (sound system amplifiers) Commercial audio processing

They include additional analog inputs forapplications requiring more ADC channels. The ADuC845, ADuC847, and ADuC848 are complete smarttransducer front ends. The family integrates high resolution?-? ADCs with flexible, up to 10-channel, input multiplexing, afast 8-bit MCU, and program and data Flash/EE memory on asingle chip. The ADuC845 includes two (primary and auxiliary) 24-bit ?-?ADCs with internal buffering and PGA on the primary ADC.The ADuC847 includes the same primary ADC as the ADuC845(auxiliary ADC removed). The ADuC848 is a 16-bit ADCversion of the ADuC847.The ADCs incorporate flexible input multiplexing, a temperaturesensor (ADuC845 only), and a PGA (primary ADC only)allowing direct measurement of low-level signals. The ADCsinclude on-chip digital filtering and programmable output datarates that are intended for measuring wide dynamic range andlow frequency signals, such as those in weigh scale, strain gage, pressure transducer, or temperature measurement applications. The devices operate from a 32 kHz crystal with an on-chip PLLgenerating a high frequency clock of 12.58 MHz. This clock isrouted through a programmable clock divider from which theMCU core clock operating frequency is generated. The microcontrollercore is an optimized single-cycle 8052 offering up to12.58 MIPs performance while maintaining 8051 instruction setcompatibility. The available nonvolatile Flash/EE program memory optionsare 62 kbytes, 32 kbytes, and 8 kbytes. 4 kbytes of nonvolatileFlash/EE data memory and 2304 bytes of data RAM are alsoprovided on-chip. The program memory can be configured asdata memory to give up to 60 kbytes of NV data memory indata logging applications.On-chip factory firmware supports in-circuit serial downloadand debug modes (via UART), as well as single-pin emulationmode via the EA pin. The ADuC845, ADuC847, and ADuC848are supported by the QuickStart? development system featuringlow cost software and hardware development tools.Applications Multichannel sensor monitoring Industrial/environmental instrumentation Weigh scales, pressure sensors, temperature monitoring Portable instrumentation, battery-powered systems Data logging, precision system monitoring
