The AD5593R has eight input/output (I/O) pins, which can beindependently configured as digital-to-analog converter (DAC)outputs, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) inputs, digital outputs,or digital inputs. When an I/O pin is configured as an analogoutput, it is driven by a 12-bit DAC. The output range of theDAC is 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. When an I/O pin isconfigured as an analog input, it is connected to a 12-bit ADCvia an analog multiplexer. The input range of the ADC is 0 V toVREF or 0 V to 2 × VREF. The I/O pins can also be configured tobe general-purpose, digital input or output (GPIO) pins. Thestate of the GPIO pins can be set or read back by accessing theGPIO write data register and GPIO read configuration registers,respectively, via an I2C write or read operation.The AD5593R has an integrated 2.5 V, 20 ppm/°C reference thatis turned off by default and an integrated temperature indicatorthat gives an indication of the die temperature. It contains four channels of a low noise preamplifier (LNA) with a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and an antialiasing filter (AAF) plus one direct-to-ADC channel, all integrated with a single 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC).Each channel features a gain range of 16 dB to 34 dB in 6 dB increments and an ADC with a conversion rate of up to 72 MSPS. The combined input referred noise voltage of the entire channel is 3.5 nV/√Hz at maximum gain. The ADE9000 is a highly accurate, fully integrated, multiphase energy and power quality monitoring device. Superior analog performance and a digital signal processing (DSP) core enable accurate energy monitoring over a wide dynamic range. An integrated high end reference ensures low drift over temperature with a combined drift of less than ±25 ppm/°C maximum for the entire channel including a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).The ADE9000 offers complete power monitoring capability by providing total as well as fundamental measurements on rms, active, reactive, and apparent powers and energies. Advanced features such as dip and swell monitoring, frequency, phase angle, voltage total harmonic distortion (VTHD), current total harmonic distortion (ITHD), and power factor measurements enable implementation of power quality measurements. The ½ cycle rms and 10 cycle rms/12 cycle rms, calculated according to IEC 61000-4-30 Class S, provide instantaneous rms measurements for real-time monitoring.The ADE9000 offers an integrated flexible waveform buffer that stores samples at a fixed data rate of 32 kSPS or 8 kSPS, or a sampling rate that varies based on line frequency to ensure 128 points per line cycle. Resampling simplifies fast Fourier transform (FFT) calculation of at least 50 harmonics in an external processor.The ADE9000 simplifies the implementation of energy and power quality monitoring systems by providing tight integration of acquisition and calculation engines. The integrated ADCs and DSP engine calculate various parameters and provide data through user accessible registers or indicate events through interrupt pins. With seven dedicated ADC channels, the ADE9000 can be used on a 3-phase system or up to three single-phase systems. It supports current transformers (CTs) or Rogowski coils for current measurements. A digital integrator eliminates a discrete integrator required for Rogowski coils.The ADE9000 absorbs most complexity in calculations for a power monitoring system. The AD8110 and AD8111 are high-speed 16 × 8 video crosspointswitch matrices. They offer a –3 dB signal bandwidthgreater than 260 MHz, and channel switch times of less than25 ns with 1% settling. With –78 dB of crosstalk and –97 dBisolation (@ 5 MHz), the AD8110/AD8111 are useful in manyhigh-speed applications. The differential gain and differentialphase of better than 0.02% and 0.02° respectively, along with0.1 dB flatness out to 60 MHz, make the AD8110/AD8111ideal for video signal switching.The AD8110 and AD8111 include eight independent outputbuffers that can be placed into a high impedance state for parallelingcrosspoint outputs so that off channels do not load theoutput bus. The AD8110 has a gain of +1, while the AD8111offers a gain of +2. They operate on voltage supplies of ±5 Vwhile consuming only 50 mA of idle current. The AD8400/AD8402/AD8403 provide a single, dual or quad channel, 256 position digitally controlled variable resistor (VR) device. These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor. The AD8400 contains a single variable resistor in the compact SO-8 package. The AD8402 contains two independent variable resistors in saving SO-14 surface mount package. The AD8403 contains four independent variable resistors in 24-lead PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages. Each part contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digital code loaded into the controlling serial input register. The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. Each variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance, between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A to B terminal resistance of 1 kOhm, 10 kOhm, 50 kOhm or 100 kOhm has a ±1% channel-to-channel matching tolerance with a nominal temperature coefficient of 500 ppm/°C. A unique switching circuit minimizes the high glitch inherent in traditional switched resistor designs avoiding any make-before-break or break-before-make operation.Each VR has its own VR latch that holds its programmed resistance value. These VR latches are updated from an SPI compatible serial-to-parallel shift register that is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial-input digital interface. Ten data bits make up the data word clocked into the serial input register. The data word is decoded where the first two bits determine the address of the VR latch to be loaded, the last eight bits are data. A serial data output pin at the opposite end of the serial register allows simple daisy-chaining in multiple VR applications without additional external decoding logic.
