AD5260BRUZ200
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5260 and AD5262 are 1- and 2-channel, 256 position, SPI interface digitally controlled, variable resistor (VR) devices. These parts operate from either a single +5 V to +15 V supply or a dual ±5 V supply, extending terminal voltage adjustment to these supply voltages. (Most industry digital potentiometers are limited to a 5 V operating range). These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor while offering solid-state reliability and electronic packaging compactness. These devices are offered in the thin 1.1 mm height TSSOP 14- and 16-lead surface mount packages.

AD5262BRUZ20
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5260 / AD5262 provide a single- or dual-channel, 256- position, digitally controlled variable resistor (VR) device.1 These devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor. Each channel of the AD5260/AD5262 contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digital code loaded into the SPI-compatible serial-input register. The resistance between the wiper and either end point of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. The variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance, between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 20 Ω, 50 Ω, or 200 Ω has a nominal temperature coefficient of 35 ppm/°C. Unlike the majority of the digital potentiometers in the market, these devices can operate up to 15 V or ±5 V provided proper supply voltages are furnished. Each VR has its own VR latch that holds its programmed resistance value. These VR latches are updated from an internal serial-to-parallel shift register, which is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial-input digital interface. The AD5260 contains an 8-bit serial register whereas the AD5262 contains a 9-bit serial register. Each bit is clocked into the register on the positive edge of the CLK pin. The AD5262 address bit determines the corresponding VR latch to be loaded with the last eight bits of the data word during the positive edging of CS strobe. A serial data output pin at the opposite end of the serial register enables simple daisy-chaining in multiple VR applications without additional external decoding logic. An optional reset pin (PR) forces the wiper to the midscale position by loading 0x80 into the VR latch. The AD5260 / AD5262 are available in thin surface-mount 14-lead TSSOP and 16-lead TSSOP packages. All parts are guaranteed to operate over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.APPLICATIONS Mechanical potentiometer replacement Instrumentation: gain, offset adjustment Stereo channel audio level control Programmable voltage-to-current conversion Programmable filters, delays, time constants Line impedance matching Low resolution DAC replacement

AD6636CBCZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD6636 is a (Digital) Receive Signal Processor intended for direct IF sampling or highly sampled baseband radios requiring wide-bandwidth input signals. It has been optimized for the demanding filtering requirements of wideband standards like, CDMA2000, UMTS, and TD-SCDMA. The AD6636 is designed to be used as part of radio system that uses either an IF sampling ADC, or a baseband sampling ADC.The AD6636 has the following signal processing stages: a Frequency Translator, a 5th order Cascaded Integrated Comb filter, two sets of Cascaded Fixed Coefficient Finite Impulse Response (FIR) and Half Band filters, three cascaded programmable coefficient Sum of Product FIR filters, an Interpolating Half Band Filter (LHB) and a digital Automatic Gain Control (AGC) Block. Multiple modes are supported for clocking data into and out of the chip to provide flexibility for interfacing to a wide variety of digitizers. Programming and control is accomplished via serial or microport interfaces. The AD6636 features a fractional clock multiplier that uses the ADC clock to produce a digital down converter master clock up to 200 MHz. This internal phased-locked loop (PLL) allows optimum digital clock rates, regardless of the converter sampling rate, enabling the best possible digital signal decimation and filtering. Three 16-bit parallel output ports accommodate high data rate 3G applications. An on-chip interpolating half band filter can also be used to further increase the output rate while still allowing for very efficient filters. In addition, each channel has a digital AGC for output data scaling.

The AD8402 contains two independent variable resistors in saving SO-14 surface mount package. The AD8403 contains four independent variable resistors in 24-lead PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages. Each part contains a fixed resistor with a wiper contact that taps the fixed resistor value at a point determined by a digital code loaded into the controlling serial input register. The resistance between the wiper and either endpoint of the fixed resistor varies linearly with respect to the digital code transferred into the VR latch. Each variable resistor offers a completely programmable value of resistance, between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A to B terminal resistance of 1 kΩ, 10 kΩ, 50 kΩ or 100 kΩ has a ±1% channel-to-channel matching tolerance with a nominal temperature coefficient of 500 ppm/°C. A unique switching circuit minimizes the high glitch inherent in traditional switched resistor designs avoiding any make-before-break or break-before-make operation. Each VR has its own VR latch that holds its programmed resistance value. These VR latches are updated from an SPI compatible serial-to-parallel shift register that is loaded from a standard 3-wire serial-input digital interface. Ten data bits make up the data word clocked into the serial input register. The data word is decoded where the first two bits determine the address of the VR latch to be loaded, the last eight bits are data. A serial data output pin at the opposite end of the serial register allows simple daisy-chaining in multiple VR applications without additional external decoding logic.

AD9833BRMZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD9833 is a low power, programmable waveform generator capable of producing sine, triangular, and square wave outputs. Waveform generation is required in various types of sensing, actuation, and time domain reflectometry (TDR) applications. The output frequency and phase are software programmable, allowing easy tuning. No external components are needed. The frequency registers are 28 bits wide: with a 25 MHz clock rate, resolution of 0.1 Hz can be achieved; with a 1 MHz clock rate, the AD9833 can be tuned to 0.004 Hz resolution. The AD9833 is written to via a 3-wire serial interface. This serial interface operates at clock rates up to 40 MHz and is compatible with DSP and microcontroller standards. The device operates with a power supply from 2.3 V to 5.5 V.The AD9833 has a power-down function (SLEEP). This function allows sections of the device that are not being used to be powered down, thus minimizing the current consumption of the part. For example, the DAC can be powered down when a clock output is being generated. The AD9833 is available in a 10-lead MSOP package.Applications Frequency stimulus/waveform generation Liquid and gas flow measurement Sensory applications: proximity, motion, and defect detection Line loss/attenuation Test and medical equipment Sweep/clock generators Time domain reflectometry (TDR) applications
