The AD637 is a complete, high accuracy, rms-to-dc converter that computes the true rms value of any complex waveform. It offers performance that is unprecedented in integrated circuit rms-to-dc converters and comparable to discrete and modular techniques in accuracy, bandwidth, and dynamic range. The AD637 computes the true root mean square, mean square, or absolute value of any complex ac (or ac plus dc) input waveform and gives an equivalent dc output voltage. The true rms value of a waveform is more useful than an average rectified signal because it relates directly to the power of the signal. The rms value of a statistical signal relates to the standard deviation of the signal.Superior crest factor compensation permits measurements of signals with crest factors of up to 10 with less than 1% additional error. The wide bandwidth of the AD637 permits the measurement of signals up to 600 kHz with inputs of 200 mV rms and up to 8 MHz when the input levels are above 1 V rms.Direct dB value of the rms output with a range of 60 dB is available on a separate pin. An externally programmed reference current allows the user to select the 0 dB reference voltage to correspond to any level between 0.1 V and 2.0 V rms.A chip select connection on the AD637 permits the user to decrease the supply current from 2.2 mA to 350 µA during periods when the rms function is not in use. This feature facilitates the addition of precision rms measurement to remote or handheld applications where minimum power consumption is critical. In addition, when the AD637 is powered down, the output goes to a high impedance state. This allows several AD637s to be tied together to form a wideband true rms multiplexer.The input circuitry of the AD637 is protected from overload voltages in excess of the supply levels. The inputs are not damaged by input signals if the supply voltages are lost.The AD637 is laser wafer trimmed to achieve rated performance without external trimming. The only external component required is a capacitor that sets the averaging period. The value of this capacitor also determines low frequency accuracy, ripple level, and settling time.The on-chip buffer amplifier is used either as an input buffer or in an active filter configuration. The filter can be used to reduce the amount of ac ripple, thereby increasing accuracy.The AD637 is available in accuracy Grade J and Grade K for commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C) applications, accuracy Grade A and Grade B for industrial range (−40°C to +85°C) applications, and accuracy Grade S rated over the −55°C to +125°C temperature range. All versions are available in hermetically sealed, 14-lead SBDIP, 14-lead CERDIP, and 16-lead SOIC_W packages.

This ensures that there are no false or non-registering touches on the external sensors due to a changing environment.The AD7147 has an SPI-compatible serial interface, and the AD7147-1 has an I2C®-compatible serial interface. Both parts have an interrupt output, as well as a GPIO. There is a VDRIVE pin to set the voltage level for the serial interface independent of VCC.The AD7147 is available in a 24-lead, 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP and operates from a 2.6 V to 3.6 V supply. The ADuM440x are 4-channel digital isolators based on the Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler® technology. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic air core transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics that are superior to the alternatives, such as optocoupler devices and other integrated couplers.The ADuM440x isolators provide four independent isolation channels in a variety of channel configurations and data rates (see the Ordering Guide). All models operate with the supply voltage on either side ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems as well as enabling a voltage translation functionality across the isolation barrier. The ADuM440x isolators have a patented refresh feature that ensures dc correctness in the absence of input logic transitions and during power-up/power-down conditions.This family of isolators, like many Analog Devices isolators, offers very low power consumption, consuming one-tenth to one-sixth the power of comparable isolators at comparable data rates up to 10 Mbps. All models of the ADuM440x provide low pulse width distortion (<2 ns for C grade). In addition, every model has an input glitch filter to protect against extraneous noise disturbances.The ADuM440x contain circuit and layout enhancements to help achieve system-level IEC 61000-4-x compliance (ESD/burst/surge). The precise capability in these tests for the ADuM440x are strongly determined by the design and layout of the user’s board or module. Low Power HART Modem
The AD5700/AD5700-1 are single-chip solutions, designed and specified to operate as a HART® FSK half-duplex modem, complying with the HART physical layer requirements. The AD5700/AD5700-1 integrate all of the necessary filtering, signal detection, modulating, demodulating and signal generation functions, thus requiring few external components. The 0.5% precision internal oscillator on the AD5700-1 greatly reduces the board space requirements, making it ideal for line-powered applications in both master and slave configurations. The maximum supply current consumption is 115µA, making theAD5700/AD5700-1 an optimal choice for low power loop-powered applications. Transmit waveforms are phase continuous 1200 Hz and 2200 Hz sinusoids. The AD5700/AD5700-1 contain accurate carrier detect circuitry and use a standard UART interface.

The ADAU1452/ADAU1451/ADAU1450 are automotive qualified audio processors that far exceed the digital signal processing capabilities of earlier SigmaDSP® devices. The restructured hardware architecture is optimized for efficient audio processing. The audio processing algorithms are realized in sample-by-sample and block-by-block paradigms that can both be executed simultaneously in a signal processing flow created using the graphical programming tool, SigmaStudio™. The restructured digital signal processor (DSP) core architecture enables some types of audio processing algorithms to be executed using significantly fewer instructions than were required on previous SigmaDSP generations, leading to vastly improved code efficiency.The 1.2 V, 32-bit DSP core can run at frequencies of up to 294.912 MHz and execute up to 6144 instructions per sample at the standard sample rate of 48 kHz. However, in addition to industry-standard rates, a wide range of sample rates are available. The integer PLL and flexible clock generator hardware can generate up to 15 audio sample rates simultaneously. These clock generators, along with the on-board asynchronous sample rate converters (ASRCs) and a flexible hardware audio routing matrix, make the ADAU1452/ADAU1451/ADAU1450 ideal audio hubs that greatly simplify the design of complex multirate audio systems.The ADAU1452/ADAU1451/ADAU1450 interface with a wide range of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), digital audio devices, amplifiers, and control circuitry, due to their highly configurable serial ports, S/PDIF interfaces (on the ADAU1452 and ADAU1451), and multipurpose input/output pins. The devices can also directly interface with pulse density modulation (PDM) output microelectromechanical (MEMS) microphones, due to integrated decimation filters specifically designed for that purpose.Independent slave and master I2C/serial peripheral interface (SPI) control ports allow the ADAU1452/ADAU1451/ADAU1450 not only to be programmed and configured by an external master device, but also to act as masters that can program and configure external slave devices directly. This flexibility, combined with self boot functionality, enables the design of standalone systems that do not require any external input to operate.The power efficient DSP core executes full programs, consumes only a few hundred milliwatts (mW) of power, and can run at a maximum program load while consuming less than a watt, even in worst case temperatures exceeding 100°C. This relatively low power consumption and small footprint make the ADAU1452/ ADAU1451/ADAU1450 ideal replacements for large, general-purpose DSPs that consume more power at the same processing load.Differences between the ADAU1452, ADAU1451, and ADAU1450The five variants of this device are differentiated by memory, DSP core frequency, availability of S/PDIF interfaces, ASRC configuration, and temperature range.Because the ADAU1450 does not contain an S/PDIF receiver or transmitter, the SPDIFIN and SPDIFOUT pins are nonfunctional.
