The part implements the computationally intensive operations of the JPEG2000 image compression standard and provides fully compliant code-stream generation for most applications.The dedicated video port of the ADV212 provides glueless connection to common digital video standards such as ITU-R BT.656, SMPTE 125M, SMPTE 293M (525p), ITU-R BT.1358 (625p), SMPTE 274M (1080i), or SMPTE 296M (720p). The ADV7180 automatically detects and converts standard analog baseband television signals compatible with worldwide NTSC, PAL, and SECAM standards into 4:2:2 component video data compatible with the 8-bit ITU-R BT.656 interface standard.The simple digital output interface connects gluelessly to a wide range of MPEG encoders, codecs, mobile video processors, and Analog Devices, Inc., digital video encoders, such as the ADV7391. External HS, VS, and FIELD signals provide timing references for LCD controllers and other video ASICs, if required. Accurate 10-bit analog-to-digital conversion provides professional quality video performance for consumer applications with true 8-bit data resolution. Three analog video input channels accept standard composite, S-video, or component video signals, supporting a wide range of consumer video sources. AGC and clamp-restore circuitry allow an input video signal peak-to-peak range to 1.0 V. Alternatively, these can be bypassed for manual settings.The line-locked clock output allows the output data rate, timing signals, and output clock signals to be synchronous, asynchronous, or line locked even with ±5% line length variation. Output control signals allow glueless interface connections in many applications. The ADV7180 is programmed via a 2-wire, serial bidirectional port (I2C® compatible) and is fabricated in a 1.8 V CMOS process. Its monolithic CMOS construction ensures greater functionality with lower power dissipation. LFCSP package options makes the decoder ideal for space-constrained portable applications. Linearization circuitry, precision voltage amplifiers, resistance measuring circuitry, and cold junction compensation are not needed in applying the AD590.In addition to temperature measurement, applications include temperature compensation or correction of discrete components, biasing proportional to absolute temperature, flow rate measurement, level detection of fluids and anemometry. The AD590 is available in die form, making it suitable for hybrid circuits and fast temperature measurements in protected environments.The AD590 is particularly useful in remote sensing applications. The device is insensitive to voltage drops over long lines due to its high impedance current output. Any well-insulated twisted pair is sufficient for operation at hundreds of feet from the receiving circuitry. State-of-the-art laser trimming at the wafer level in conjunction with extensive final testing ensures that AD590 units are easily interchangeable. Superior interface rejection occurs because the output is a current rather than a voltage. In addition, power requirements are low (1.5 mW @ 5 V @ 25°C). These features make the AD590 easy to apply as a remote sensor. The high output impedance (>10 MΩ) provides excellent rejection of supply voltage drift. For instance, changing the power supply from 5 V to 10 V results in only a 1 μA maximum current change, or 1°C equivalent error. The AD590 is electrically durable: it withstands a forward voltage of up to 44 V and a reverse voltage of 20 V. Therefore, supply irregularities or pin reversal does not damage the device.

The AD637 is a complete, high accuracy, rms-to-dc converter that computes the true rms value of any complex waveform. It offers performance that is unprecedented in integrated circuit rms-to-dc converters and comparable to discrete and modular techniques in accuracy, bandwidth, and dynamic range. The AD637 computes the true root mean square, mean square, or absolute value of any complex ac (or ac plus dc) input waveform and gives an equivalent dc output voltage. The true rms value of a waveform is more useful than an average rectified signal because it relates directly to the power of the signal. The rms value of a statistical signal relates to the standard deviation of the signal.Superior crest factor compensation permits measurements of signals with crest factors of up to 10 with less than 1% additional error. The wide bandwidth of the AD637 permits the measurement of signals up to 600 kHz with inputs of 200 mV rms and up to 8 MHz when the input levels are above 1 V rms.Direct dB value of the rms output with a range of 60 dB is available on a separate pin. An externally programmed reference current allows the user to select the 0 dB reference voltage to correspond to any level between 0.1 V and 2.0 V rms.A chip select connection on the AD637 permits the user to decrease the supply current from 2.2 mA to 350 µA during periods when the rms function is not in use. This feature facilitates the addition of precision rms measurement to remote or handheld applications where minimum power consumption is critical. In addition, when the AD637 is powered down, the output goes to a high impedance state. This allows several AD637s to be tied together to form a wideband true rms multiplexer.The input circuitry of the AD637 is protected from overload voltages in excess of the supply levels. The inputs are not damaged by input signals if the supply voltages are lost.The AD637 is laser wafer trimmed to achieve rated performance without external trimming. The only external component required is a capacitor that sets the averaging period. The value of this capacitor also determines low frequency accuracy, ripple level, and settling time.The on-chip buffer amplifier is used either as an input buffer or in an active filter configuration. The filter can be used to reduce the amount of ac ripple, thereby increasing accuracy.The AD637 is available in accuracy Grade J and Grade K for commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C) applications, accuracy Grade A and Grade B for industrial range (−40°C to +85°C) applications, and accuracy Grade S rated over the −55°C to +125°C temperature range. All versions are available in hermetically sealed, 14-lead SBDIP, 14-lead CERDIP, and 16-lead SOIC_W packages.

The AD5280 / AD5282 are single-channel and dual-channel, 256-position, digitally controlled variable resistors (VRs). The devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer, trimmer, or variable resistor. Each VR offers a completely programmable value of resistance between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 20 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 200 kΩ has a 1% channel-to-channel matching tolerance. The nominal temperature coefficient of both parts is 30 parts per million/ degrees centigrade (ppm/°C). Another key feature is that the parts can operate up to +15 V or ±5 V.Wiper position programming defaults to midscale at system power-on. When powered, the VR wiper position is programmed by an I2C-compatible, 2-wire serial data interface. The AD5280 / AD5282 feature sleep mode programmability. This allows any level of preset in power-up and is an alternative to a costly EEPROM solution. Both parts have additional programmable logic outputs that enable users to drive digital loads, logic gates, LED drivers, and analog switches in their system.The AD5280/AD5282 are available in thin, surface-mounted 14-lead TSSOP and 16-lead TSSOP. The fido2100 is part of the Innovasic fido® family of real-time communication products. The fido2100 is a managed, 3-port Ethernet switch with support for IEEE-1588 and Device Level Ring (DLR) protocol. The fido2100 enhances the capabilities of Innovasic’s line of Industrial Ethernet products by providing an infrastructure element with low latency, time synchronization and redundancy for any embedded Industrial Ethernet solution.The fido2100 is an IEEE 802.3 standard compliant, Layer 2 switch that is compatible with the IEEE 802.1D standard. It has three ports: two are external ports that function as physical ports of a product and one is an internal port that connects to the host CPU. Each of the three ports has an IEEE 802.3 compliant MAC and the ports are interconnected with each other through full wire speed, non-blocking switching logic. Figure 1 illustrates the top-level blocks of the fido2100 architecture.The pass-through of traffic is handled swiftly by using cut through forwarding to pass traffic to the other external port. This is accomplished without host CPU intervention, which keeps throughput time host interaction to a minimum and keeps pass through delay to a minimum.The fido2100 also has the ability to operate in a DLR configuration, which provides media redundancy amongst its members. Host CPU source code is available to provide the ability for the device to be a DLR participant or a DLR supervisor using the DLR support functions. The fido2100 will default to linear topology operation, and when inserted into a ring, will automatically change to DLR operation as a DLR participant.
