Low Power HART Modem

The AD5700/AD5700-1 are single-chip solutions, designed and specified to operate as a HART® FSK half-duplex modem, complying with the HART physical layer requirements. The AD5700/AD5700-1 integrate all of the necessary filtering, signal detection, modulating, demodulating and signal generation functions, thus requiring few external components. The 0.5% precision internal oscillator on the AD5700-1 greatly reduces the board space requirements, making it ideal for line-powered applications in both master and slave configurations. The maximum supply current consumption is 115µA, making theAD5700/AD5700-1 an optimal choice for low power loop-powered applications. Transmit waveforms are phase continuous 1200 Hz and 2200 Hz sinusoids. The AD5700/AD5700-1 contain accurate carrier detect circuitry and use a standard UART interface.

Data Acquisition ADCs/DACs - Specialised 20-Bit, 8-channel Sim Sampling DAQ System

AD4858 Data Acquisition System (DAS)

Analog Devices' AD4858 is a high-performance, buffered, simultaneous sampling Data Acquisition System (DAS) featuring configurable SoftSpan ranges for each channel.

Key Features:

  • Performance: The AD4858 features an 11 MHz bandwidth, picoamp input analog buffers, and a 120 dB common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). This enables direct digitization of input signals with varying swings on INx+ and INx−.
  • Precision: With ±160 μV integral nonlinearity (INL), no missing codes at 20 bits, a 97.2 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and a 111.4 dB dynamic range (DR), it is ideal for high accuracy, throughput, and precision applications.
  • Flexibility: It supports 24-bit oversampling for enhanced SNR and dynamic range. Per-channel offset, gain, and phase adjustments allow for calibration and removal of system-level errors before data acquisition.
  • Digital Interface: The AD4858 features a serial peripheral interface (SPI) register configuration bus (0.9 V to 5.25 V) and supports both LVDS and CMOS data output buses. Users can optimize bus width and throughput by employing between one and eight lines of data output in CMOS mode.
  • Evaluation Kit: The EVAL-AD4858FMCZ evaluation kit demonstrates the AD4858's performance and provides access to various configuration options via an easy-to-use ACE plug-in graphical interface.

Applications:

  • Automatic test equipment
  • Avionics and aerospace
  • Instrumentation and control systems
  • Semiconductor manufacturing
  • Test and measurement

Three different memory options are available offering up to 62 kBytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE program memory. Four kBytes of nonvolatile Flash/EE data memory, 256 bytes RAM, and 2 kBytes of extended RAM are also integrated on-chip. DACs, a dual output 16-bit PWM, a watchdog timer, a time interval counter, three timers/counters, and three serial I/O ports (SPI, I2C, and UART).On the ADuC812 and the ADuC832, the I2C and SPI interfaces share some of the same pins. For backwards compatibility, this is also the case for the ADuC841/ADuC842/ADuC843.However, there is also the option to allow SPI operate separately on P3.3, P3.4, and P3.5, while I2C uses the standard pins. The I2C interface has also been enhanced to offer repeated start, general call, and quad addressing.On-chip factory firmware supports in-circuit serial download and debug modes (via UART) as well as single-pin emulation mode via the EA pin..Applications Optical networking?laser power control Base station systems Precision instrumentation, smart sensors Transient capture systems DAS and communications systems
