Analog Devices Inc.
The ADG2128 is an analog cross point switch with an array size of 8 × 12. The switch array is arranged so that there are eight columns by 12 rows, for a total of 96 switch channels. The array is bidirectional, and the rows and columns can be configured as either inputs or outputs. Each of the 96 switches can be addressed and configured through the I2C compatible interface. Standard, full speed, and high speed (3.4 MHz) I2C interfaces are supported. Any simultaneous switch combination is allowed. An additional feature of the ADG2128 is that switches can be updated simultaneously, using the LDSW command. In addition, a RESET option allows all of the switch channels to be reset/off. At power-on, all switches are in the off condition. The AD5280 / AD5282 are single-channel and dual-channel, 256-position, digitally controlled variable resistors (VRs). The devices perform the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer, trimmer, or variable resistor. Each VR offers a completely programmable value of resistance between the A terminal and the wiper or the B terminal and the wiper. The fixed A-to-B terminal resistance of 20 kΩ, 50 kΩ, or 200 kΩ has a 1% channel-to-channel matching tolerance. The nominal temperature coefficient of both parts is 30 parts per million/ degrees centigrade (ppm/°C). Another key feature is that the parts can operate up to +15 V or ±5 V.Wiper position programming defaults to midscale at system power-on. When powered, the VR wiper position is programmed by an I2C-compatible, 2-wire serial data interface. The AD5280 / AD5282 feature sleep mode programmability. This allows any level of preset in power-up and is an alternative to a costly EEPROM solution. Both parts have additional programmable logic outputs that enable users to drive digital loads, logic gates, LED drivers, and analog switches in their system.The AD5280/AD5282 are available in thin, surface-mounted 14-lead TSSOP and 16-lead TSSOP. Laser trimming of the chip’s thin-film resistors is used to calibrate the device to 298.2 μA output at 298.2 K (25°C).The AD590 should be used in any temperature-sensing application below 150°C in which conventional electrical temperature sensors are currently employed. The inherent low cost of a monolithic integrated circuit combined with the elimination of support circuitry makes the AD590 an attractive alternative for many temperature measurement situations. Linearization circuitry, precision voltage amplifiers, resistance measuring circuitry, and cold junction compensation are not needed in applying the AD590.In addition to temperature measurement, applications include temperature compensation or correction of discrete components, biasing proportional to absolute temperature, flow rate measurement, level detection of fluids and anemometry. The AD590 is available in die form, making it suitable for hybrid circuits and fast temperature measurements in protected environments.The AD590 is particularly useful in remote sensing applications. The device is insensitive to voltage drops over long lines due to its high impedance current output. Any well-insulated twisted pair is sufficient for operation at hundreds of feet from the receiving circuitry. State-of-the-art laser trimming at the wafer level in conjunction with extensive final testing ensures that AD590 units are easily interchangeable. Superior interface rejection occurs because the output is a current rather than a voltage. In addition, power requirements are low (1.5 mW @ 5 V @ 25°C). These features make the AD590 easy to apply as a remote sensor. The high output impedance (>10 MΩ) provides excellent rejection of supply voltage drift. For instance, changing the power supply from 5 V to 10 V results in only a 1 μA maximum current change, or 1°C equivalent error. The AD590 is electrically durable: it withstands a forward voltage of up to 44 V and a reverse voltage of 20 V. Therefore, supply irregularities or pin reversal does not damage the device.

The AD637 is a complete, high accuracy, rms-to-dc converter that computes the true rms value of any complex waveform. It offers performance that is unprecedented in integrated circuit rms-to-dc converters and comparable to discrete and modular techniques in accuracy, bandwidth, and dynamic range. The AD637 computes the true root mean square, mean square, or absolute value of any complex ac (or ac plus dc) input waveform and gives an equivalent dc output voltage. The true rms value of a waveform is more useful than an average rectified signal because it relates directly to the power of the signal. The rms value of a statistical signal relates to the standard deviation of the signal.Superior crest factor compensation permits measurements of signals with crest factors of up to 10 with less than 1% additional error. The wide bandwidth of the AD637 permits the measurement of signals up to 600 kHz with inputs of 200 mV rms and up to 8 MHz when the input levels are above 1 V rms.Direct dB value of the rms output with a range of 60 dB is available on a separate pin. An externally programmed reference current allows the user to select the 0 dB reference voltage to correspond to any level between 0.1 V and 2.0 V rms.A chip select connection on the AD637 permits the user to decrease the supply current from 2.2 mA to 350 µA during periods when the rms function is not in use. This feature facilitates the addition of precision rms measurement to remote or handheld applications where minimum power consumption is critical. In addition, when the AD637 is powered down, the output goes to a high impedance state. This allows several AD637s to be tied together to form a wideband true rms multiplexer.The input circuitry of the AD637 is protected from overload voltages in excess of the supply levels. The inputs are not damaged by input signals if the supply voltages are lost.The AD637 is laser wafer trimmed to achieve rated performance without external trimming. The only external component required is a capacitor that sets the averaging period. The value of this capacitor also determines low frequency accuracy, ripple level, and settling time.The on-chip buffer amplifier is used either as an input buffer or in an active filter configuration. The filter can be used to reduce the amount of ac ripple, thereby increasing accuracy.The AD637 is available in accuracy Grade J and Grade K for commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C) applications, accuracy Grade A and Grade B for industrial range (−40°C to +85°C) applications, and accuracy Grade S rated over the −55°C to +125°C temperature range. All versions are available in hermetically sealed, 14-lead SBDIP, 14-lead CERDIP, and 16-lead SOIC_W packages.

The ADuM7223 is a 4A isolated, half-bridge gate driver that employ Analog Devices, Inc.’s iCoupler® technology to provide independent and isolated high-side and low-side outputs. Combining high speed CMOS and monolithic transformer technology, these isolation components provide outstanding performance characteristics superior to alternatives such as the combination of pulse transformers and non-isolated gate drivers. By integrating the isolator and driver in a single package, propagation delay is a maximum of only 60 ns and the propagation skew from channel to channel is a maximum of only 7ns.The ADuM7223 provides two independent isolation channels.The ADuM7223 operates with an input supply ranging from 3.0 V to 5.5 V, providing compatibility with lower voltage systems. The outputs operate in a wide range from 4.5V to 18V with three output voltage versions available. The 5 × 5 mm, LGA package provides 565 V operating voltage from input to output and 700 V from output to output.In comparison to gate drivers employing high voltage level translation methodologies, these gate drivers offer the benefit of true, galvanic isolation between the input and each output.
