The HMC1044LP3E is a programmable bandwidth LPF (Low Pass Filter) targeted at all applications that use quadrature modulators and/or demodulators. The HMC1044LP3E filters out LO harmonics and ensures little or no LO contribution to modulator sideband rejection or demodulator image rejection performance.Although targeted at LO filtering applications, the HMC1044LP3E can be used to filter all RF harmonics such as the ones generated by amplifiers.The HMC1044LP3E offers a choice of 16 programmable bands, optimized for high and low cellular bands ranging from 1 to 3 GHz, making the a truly wideband part compatible with wideband PLLs with Integrated VCOs and wideband quadrature modulators and demodulators. The HMC510LP5(E) is a GaAs InGaP Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) MMIC VCO. The HMC510LP5(E) integrates resonators, negative resistance devices, varactor diodes and feature half frequency and divide-by-4 outputs. The VCO’s phase noise performance is excellent over temperature, shock, and process due to the oscillator’s monolithic structure. Power output is +13 dBm typical from a +5V supply voltage. The prescaler and RF/2 functions can be disabled to conserve current if not required. The HMC891LP5E is a MMIC band pass filter which features a user selectable passband frequency. The 3 dB filter bandwidth is approximately 9%. The 20 dB filter bandwidth is approximately 27%. The center frequency can be varied between 2 and 3.9 GHz by applying an analog tune voltage between 0 and 14V. This tunable filter can be used as a much smaller alternative to physically large switched filter banks and cavity tuned filters.
