Demonstration Circuit 616 is a synchronous, 4-phase boost converter using the LTC3425. It is capable of operating below 1V input. DC616A is set for 3.3V output. DC616B is set for 5V output. On each demo board, the left circuit gives higher efficiency and current rating; while the right circuit has smaller size and lower cost. The switching frequency is set at 1MHz per phase, minimizing inductor and capacitor size. A single resistor at RT pin sets the frequency. If desired, the LTC3425 can be synchronized to an external clock.

The demo board demonstrates a dual phase DC/DC boost converter, with a 2A switch (per phase), capable of providing either 5V at 2A or 3.3V at 1.5A. Demonstration circuit 761 is a low noise regulated charge pump featuring the LTC3204 (Burst Mode operation) in the 2X2 DFN package. There are two assembly versions, DC761A-A and DC761A-B for the LTC3204-5 (5V output) and LTC3204-3.3 (3.3V output) respectively. The DC761A-A produces a regulated 5V output from a 2.7V to 5.5V input. The guaranteed output load current is 150mA for VIN between 3.1V and 5.5V, and 65mA for VIN less than 3.1V. The DC761A-B produces a regulated 3.3V output from a 1.8V to 4.5V input. The guaranteed output current is 50mA from VIN between 1.9V and 4.5V, and 40mA for VIN less than 1.9V. The circuit requires only three tiny 0603 surface mount capacitors and uses minimal board space. No inductor or diodes are needed. The circuit features automatic Burst Mode® operation at light loads to maintain low supply current.

Demonstration Circuit 767 is an I2C-controlled high efficiency synchronous current mode buck regulator featuring the 600mA output LTC3447. The demo board input voltage range is 2.5V to 5.5V. The buck regulator has a programmable output range of 0.7V to 2.00V which is set with an internal 6-bit DAC via the I2C interface. The initial start-up voltage is set to 1.35V but can be change by changing feedback resistors R4 and R5.

Demonstration circuit DC770C is a 2-phase DC/DC boost converter featuring the LT3782A constant frequency current mode boost controller. The DC770C operates over 10V to 28V input and provides 4A of output current at 50V output. The 250kHz constant frequency operation results in a small and efficient circuit.
