ADP121CB-2.0-EVALZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADP121 is a quiescent current, low dropout, linear regulator that operates from 2.3 V to 5.5 V and provides up to 150 mA of output current. The low 135 mV dropout voltage at 150 mA load improves efficiency and allows operation over a wide input voltage range. The low 30 μA of quiescent current at full load makes the ADP121 ideal for battery-operated portable equipment. The ADP121 is available in output voltages ranging from 1.2 V to 3.3 V. The parts are optimized for stable operation with small 1 μF ceramic output capacitors. The ADP121 delivers good transient performance with minimal board area.Short-circuit protection and thermal overload protection circuits prevent damage in adverse conditions. The ADP121 is available in a tiny 5-lead TSOT and 4-ball 0.4 mm pitch WLCSP pack-ages and utilizes the smallest footprint solution to meet a variety of portable applications.

DS4560S-AR+

Analog Devices Inc.
The DS4560 is a self-contained hot-plug switch intended to be used on +12V power buses to limit through current and to control the power-up output-voltage ramp. The device contains an on-board 25mΩ n-channel power MOSFET that is actively closed-loop controlled to ensure that an adjustable current limit is not exceeded. The maximum allowable current through the device is determined by an external resistor connected to the ILIM pin.The DS4560 also contains the ability to control the power-up output-voltage ramp. A capacitor connected to the VRAMP pin sets the desired voltage ramp rate. The output voltage is unconditionally clamped to keep input overvoltage stresses from harming the load. The DS4560 also contains an adjustable power-up timer. A capacitor connected to the TIMER pin determines how long after power-on reset the DS4560 should wait before starting to apply power to the load. The TIMER pin can also be driven with a digital logic output to create a device-enable function. The DS4560 contains an on-board temperature sensor with hysteresis. If operating conditions cause the device to exceed an internal thermal limit, the DS4560 either unconditionally shuts down and latches off awaiting a power-on reset (DS4560S-LO), or it waits until the device has cooled by the hysteresis amount and then restarts (DS4560S-AR).ApplicationsBase StationsInfiniBand™PCI/PCI Express®RAID/Hard DrivesServers/Routers

MAX15026BETD+T

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX15026 synchronous step-down controller operates from a 4.5V to 28V input voltage range and generates an adjustable output voltage from 85% of the input voltage down to 0.6V while supporting loads up to 25A. The device allows monotonic startup into a prebiased bus without discharging the output and features adaptive internal digital soft-start.The MAX15026 offers the ability to adjust the switching frequency from 200kHz to 2MHz with an external resistor. The MAX15026's adaptive synchronous rectification eliminates the need for an external freewheeling Schottky diode. The device also utilizes the external low-side MOSFET's on-resistance as a current-sense element, eliminating the need for a current-sense resistor. This protects the DC-DC components from damage during output overloaded conditions or output short-circuit faults without requiring a current-sense resistor. Hiccup-mode current limit reduces power dissipation during short-circuit conditions. The MAX15026 includes a power-good output and an enable input with precise turn-on/turn-off threshold, which can be used for input supply monitoring and for power sequencing.Additional protection features include sink-mode current limit and thermal shutdown.Sink-mode current limit prevents reverse inductor current from reaching dangerous levels when the device is sinking current from the output. The MAX15026 is available in a space-saving and thermally enhanced 3mm x 3mm, 14-pin TDFN-EP package. The MAX15026 operates over the extended -40°C to +85°C and automotive -40°C to +125°C temperature ranges. The MAX15026C is designed to provide additional margin for break-before-make times. The MAX15026B/MAX15026C provide a soft-stop feature to ramp down the output voltage at turn-off. MAX15039ETG+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX15039 high-efficiency switching regulator delivers up to 6A load current at output voltages from 0.6V to 90% of VIN. The IC operates from 2.9V to 5.5V, making it ideal for on-board point-of-load and postregulation applications. Total output error is less than ±1% over load, line, and temperature ranges. The MAX15039 features fixed-frequency PWM mode operation with a switching frequency range of 500kHz to 2MHz set by an external resistor. The MAX15039 provides the option of operating in a skip mode to improve light-load efficiency. High-frequency operation allows for an all-ceramic capacitor design. The high operating frequency also allows for small-size external components. The low-resistance on-chip nMOS switches ensure high efficiency at heavy loads while minimizing critical inductances, making the layout a much simpler task with respect to discrete solutions. Following a simple layout and footprint ensures first-pass success in new designs. The MAX15039 comes with a high bandwidth (28MHz) voltage-error amplifier. The voltage-mode control architecture and the voltage-error amplifier permit a type III compensation scheme to be utilized to achieve maximum loop bandwidth, up to 20% of the switching frequency. High loop bandwidth provides fast transient response, resulting in less required output capacitance and allowing for all-ceramic-capacitor designs. The MAX15039 provides two three-state logic inputs to select one of nine preset output voltages. The preset output voltages allow customers to achieve ±1% output-voltage accuracy without using expensive 0.1% resistors. In addition, the output voltage can be set to any customer value by either using two external resistors at the feedback with a 0.6V internal reference or applying an external reference voltage to the REFIN input. The MAX15039 offers programmable soft-start time using one capacitor to reduce input inrush current.ApplicationsASIC/CPU/DSP Core and I/O VoltagesBase-Station Power SuppliesDDR Power SuppliesPOLsRAID Control Power SuppliesServer Power SuppliesTelecom and Networking Power Supplies

MAX16055EAUB+

Analog Devices Inc.
The MAX16055 precision hex voltage microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit monitors up to six system-supply voltages and asserts a single reset when any one supply voltage drops below its preset threshold. The device significantly reduces system size and component count while improving reliability compared to multiple ICs or discrete components.A variety of factory-trimmed threshold voltages are available to accommodate different supply voltages and tolerance with minimal external components. The MAX16055 includes internally fixed threshold options for monitoring 3.3V, 3.0V, 2.5V, 1.8V, 1.5V, 1.2V, 1.1V, 1.0V, and 0.9V supplies with -5% or -10% tolerance. The MAX16055 is also available with one to five adjustable threshold inputs to monitor voltages down to 0.5V.A single active-low, open-drain output asserts when any monitored input falls below its associated threshold. The reset output features a weak internal pullup (typically 70µA) to supply input IN1. The reset output remains low for the reset timeout period (140ms, min) after all voltages rise above the selected thresholds. The reset output remains valid as long as either IN1 or IN2 input voltage is above 1V. The MAX16055 is available in a small 10-pin µMAX® (3mm x 3mm) package. The MAX16055 operates over the -40°C to +125°C automotive temperature range.ApplicationsComputersData Storage EquipmentDesktop and Notebook ComputersHigh-End PrintersIndustrial EquipmentNetworking EquipmentServers/WorkstationsSet-Top BoxesTelecommunications
