The ADP5024 combines two high performance buck regulators and one low dropout (LDO) regulators in a small, 24-lead 4 mm × 4 mm LFCSP to meet demanding performance and board space requirements. The high switching frequency of the buck regulators enables tiny multilayer external components and minimizes the board space. When the MODE pin is set high, the buck regulators operate in forced PWM mode. When the MODE pin is set low, the buck regulators operate in PWM mode when the load current is above a predefined threshold. When the load current falls below a pre-defined threshold, the regulator operates in power save mode (PSM), improving the light load efficiency. The two bucks operate out of phase to reduce the input capacitor requirement. The low quiescent current, low dropout voltage, and wide input voltage range of the LDO extends the battery life of portable devices. The ADP5024 LDO maintains power supply rejection greater than 60 dB for frequencies as high as 10 kHz while operating with a low headroom voltage.Regulators in the ADP5024 are activated though dedicated enable pins. The ADP1761 is a low noise, low dropout (LDO) linear regulator. It is designed to operate from a single input supply with an input voltage as low as 1.10 V, without the requirement of an external bias supply to increase efficiency and provide up to 1 A of output current.The low 30 mV typical dropout voltage at a 1 A load allows the ADP1761 to operate with a small headroom while maintaining regulation and providing better efficiency. The LTC3850 is a high performance dual synchronous step-down switching regulator controller that drives all N-channel power MOSFET stages. A constant-frequency current mode architecture allows a phase-lockable frequency of up to 780kHz. Power loss and supply noise are minimized by operating the two controller output stages out of phase.OPTI-LOOP? compensation allows the transient response to be optimized over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. The LTC3850 features a precision 0.8V reference and a power good output indicator. The LT3477 is a current mode, 3A DC/DC step-up converter with dual rail-to-rail current sense amplifiers and an internal 3A, 42V switch. It combines a traditional voltage feedback loop and two unique current feedback loops to operate as a constant-current, constant-voltage source. Both current sense voltages are set at 100mV and can be adjusted independently using the IADJ1 and IADJ2 pins. Efficiency of up to 93% can be achieved in typical applications. The LT3477 features a programmable soft-start function to limit inductor current during start-up. Both inputs of the error amplifier are available externally allowing positive and negative output voltages (boost, inverting, SEPIC, Flyback). The ADP5054 combines four high performance buck regulators in a 48-lead LFCSP package that meets demanding performance and board space requirements. The device enables direct connection to high input voltages of up to 15.5 V with no preregulators.Channel 1 and Channel 2 integrate high-side power metal-oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs) and low-side MOSFET drivers. External NFETs can be used in low-side power devices to achieve an efficiency optimized solution and to deliver a programmable output current of 2 A, 4 A, or 6 A. Combining Channel 1 and Channel 2 in a parallel configuration provides a single output with up to 12 A of current.Channel 3 and Channel 4 integrate both high-side and low-side MOSFETs to deliver an output current of 2.5 A. LT8652S Demo Board | Dual Channel 8.5A, 18V, Synchronous Step-Down Silent Switcher with 16µA Quiescent Current

Demonstration circuit 2523A is an 18V, 8.5A (continuous)/12A (peak) synchronous step-down Silent Switcher® with 16µA quiescent current featuring the LT8652S. The LT8652S is a compact, high efficiency, high speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching with the second generation Silent Switcher structure that minimizes EMI and reduces PCB layout sensitivity. Top and bottom power switches, compensation components and other necessary circuits are inside of the LT8652S to minimize external components and simplify design. The demo board has two outputs: 3.3V and 1.2V from a 3.6V to 18V input. The wide input range allows a variety of input sources, such as automotive batteries and industrial supplies. The SYNC pin on the demo board is grounded by default for low ripple Burst Mode® operation. Move JP2 to FCM without SSM position can change the operation mode to forced continuous mode operation. Once JP2 is on FCM with SSM position, VCC is applied to the SYNC pin for low EMI spread spectrum operation. To synchronous to an external clock, move JP2 to SYNC and apply the external clock to the SYNC turret. The demonstration circuit 2523A runs at 2MHz to minimize solution size. The peak efficiency is 90%. The IC temperature rise is less than 70°C when both channels run at full load, 8.5A each, at 2MHz. The demo board has EMI filters installed for both channels. To use the EMI filter, the input should be tied to VEMI1/VEMI2, not VIN1/VIN2. The LT8652S data sheet gives a complete description of the part, operation and application information. The data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual for DC2523A.
