The SC1894 is the Scintera® 3rd generation of RF PA linearizers(RFPAL™) that provide improved correction and functionality over the previous generations. The SC1894 is a fully adaptive, RFin/RFout predistortion linearization solution optimized for a wide range of amplifiers, power levels, and communication protocols. The SC1894 uses the PA output and input signals to adaptively generate an optimized correction function in order to minimize the PA’s self-generated distortion and impairments. Using RF-domain analog signal processing enables the SC1894 to operate over wide-signal bandwidths and consume very low power. The SC1894 goes beyond linearization and provides accurate RF power measurement of RFIN and RFFB. Design support features including spectral monitoring and ACLR alarm are also available. The MAX4003 low-cost, low-power logarithmic amplifier is designed to detect the power levels of RF power amplifiers (PAs) operating from 100MHz to 2500MHz. A typical dynamic range of 45dB makes this logarithmic amplifier useful in a variety of wireless applications including cellular handset PA control, TSSI for wireless terminal devices, and other transmitter power measurements. This logarithmic amplifier provides much wider measurement range and superior accuracy than typical diode-based detectors. Excellent temperature stability is achieved over the full operating range of -40°C to +85°C.The MAX4003 logarithmic amplifier is a voltage-measuring device with a typical signal range of -58dBV to -13dBV. The input signal is internally AC-coupled by an on-chip 5pF capacitor in series with a 2kΩ resistance. This highpass coupling, with a corner at 16MHz, sets the lowest operating frequency and allows the input signal source to be DC grounded. The MAX4003 also features a power-on delay, which holds the detector output (OUT) low for approximately 5µs to ensure glitchless controller output.The MAX4003 is available in an 8-bump chip-scale package (UCSP™), an 8-pin µMAX® package, and an 8-pin thin QFN package. The MAX2306/MAX2308/MAX2309 are IF receivers designed for dual-band, dual-mode, and single-mode N-CDMA and W-CDMA cellular phone systems. The signal path consists of a variable-gain amplifier (VGA) and I/Q demodulator. The devices feature guaranteed +2.7V operation, a gain control range of over 110dB, and high input IP3 (-31dBm at 35dB gain, 3.4dBm at -35dB gain). Unlike similar devices, the MAX2306 family of receivers includes dual oscillators and synthesizers to form a self-contained IF subsystem. The synthesizer's reference and RF dividers are fully programmable through a 3-wire serial bus, enabling dual-band system architectures using any common reference and IF frequency. The differential baseband outputs have enough bandwidth to suit both N-CDMA and W-CDMA systems, and offer saturated output levels of 2.7Vp-p at a low +2.75V supply voltage.
