AD5641BKSZ-REEL7

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD5641, a member of the nanoDAC® family, is a single, 14-bit, buffered, voltage-out DAC that operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply, typically consuming 75 μA at 5 V. The part comes in a tiny LFCSP and SC70 packages. Its on-chip precision output amplifier allows rail-to-rail output swing to be achieved. The AD5641 uses a versatile 3-wire serial interface that operates at clock rates up to 30 MHz and is compatible with SPI®, QSPI™, MICROWIRE™, and DSP interface standards. The reference for AD5641 is derived from the power supply inputs and, therefore, gives the widest dynamic output range. The part incorporates a power-on reset circuit, which ensures that the DAC output powers up to 0 V and remains there until a valid write to the device takes place. The AD5641 contains a power-down feature that reduces current consumption typically to 0.2 μA at 3 V, and provides software-selectable output loads while in power-down mode. The part is put into power-down mode over the serial interface. The low power consumption of the part in normal operation makes it ideally suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The combination of small package and low power makes this nanoDAC device ideal for level-setting requirements such as generating bias or control voltages in space-constrained and power-sensitive applications.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Available in a space-saving, 6-lead LFCSP and SC70 packages. Low power, single-supply operation. The AD5641 operates from a single 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and with a maximum current consumption of 100 μA, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. The on-chip output buffer amplifier allows the output of the DAC to swing rail-to-rail with a typical slew rate of 0.5 V/μs. Reference derived from the power supply. High speed serial interface with clock speeds up to 30 MHz. Designed for very low power consumption. The interface powers up only during a write cycle. Power-down capability. When powered down, the DAC typically consumes 0.2 μA at 3 V. Power-on reset with brownout detection. Analog Devices Inc.
The AD587 represents a major advance in state-of-the-art monolithic voltage references. Using a proprietary ion-implanted buried Zener diode and laser wafer trimming of high stability thin-film resistors, the AD587 provides outstanding performance at low cost. The AD587 offers much higher performance than most other 10 V references. Because the AD587 uses an industry-standard pinout, many systems can be upgraded instantly with the AD587.The buried Zener approach to reference design provides lower noise and drift than band gap voltage references. The AD587 offers a noise-reduction pin that can be used to further reduce the noise level generated by the buried Zener. The AD587 is recommended for use as a reference for 8-bit, 10-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit, or 16-bit DACs that require an external precision reference. The device is also ideal for successive approximation or integrating ADCs with up to 14 bits of accuracy. In general, it offers better performance than standard on-chip references. The AD587J and AD587K are specified for operation from 0°C to 70°C, and the AD587U is specified for operation from −55°C to +125°C. The AD587JQ and AD587UQ models are available in 8-lead CERDIP. Other models are available in an 8-lead SOIC package for surface-mount applications, or in an 8-lead PDIP.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS Laser trimming of both initial accuracy and temperature coefficients. This laser trimming results in very low errors over temperature without the use of external components. The AD587U guarantees ±14 mV maximum total error between −55°C and +125°C. Optional fine trim connection. This connection is designed for applications requiring higher precision. Instant upgrade of any system using an industry-standard pinout 10 V reference. Very low output noise. AD587 output noise is typically 4 μV p-p. A noise-reduction pin is provided for additional noise filtering using an external capacitor. MIL-STD-883-compliant versions available. Refer to the Analog Devices Military/Aerospace Reference Manual for detailed specifications.

AD603AQ

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD603 is a low noise, voltage-controlled amplifier for use in RF and IF AGC systems. It provides accurate, pin-selectable gains of −11 dB to +31 dB with a bandwidth of 90 MHz or +9 dB to 51+ dB with a bandwidth of 9 MHz. Any intermediate gain range may be arranged using one external resistor. The input referred noise spectral density is only 1.3 nV/√Hz, and power consumption is 125 mW at the recommended ±5 V supplies. The decibel gain is linear in dB, accurately calibrated, and stable over temperature and supply. The gain is controlled at a high impedance (50 MΩ), low bias (200 nA) differential input; the scaling is 25 mV/dB, requiring a gain control voltage of only 1 V to span the central 40 dB of the gain range. An overrange and underrange of 1 dB is provided whatever the selected range. The gain control response time is less than 1 μs for a 40 dB change. The differential gain control interface allows the use of either differential or single-ended positive or negative control voltages. Several of these amplifiers may be cascaded and their gain control gains offset to optimize the system SNR.The AD603 can drive a load impedance as low as 100 Ω with low distortion. For a 500 Ω load in shunt with 5 pF, the total harmonic distortion for a ±1 V sinusoidal output at 10 MHz is typically −60 dBc. The peak specified output is ±2.5 V minimum into a 500 Ω load. The AD603 uses a patented proprietary circuit topology—the X-AMP®. The X-AMP comprises a variable attenuator of 0 dB to −42.14 dB followed by a fixed-gain amplifier. Because of the attenuator, the amplifier never has to cope with large inputs and can use negative feedback to define its (fixed) gain and dynamic performance. The attenuator has an input resistance of 100 Ω, laser trimmed to ±3%, and comprises a 7-stage R-2R ladder network, resulting in an attenuation between tap points of 6.021 dB. A proprietary interpolation technique provides a continuous gain control function that is linear in dB.The AD603 is specified for operation from −40°C to +85°C.Applications RF/IF AGC amplifiers Video gain controls A/D range extensions Signal measurements
