The MAX31722/MAX31723 digital thermometers and thermostats with an SPI/3-wire interface provide temperature readings that indicate the device temperature. No additional components are required; the devices are truly temperature-to-digital converters. Temperature readings are communicated from the device over an SPI interface or a 3-wire serial interface. The choice of interface is selectable by the user. For applications that require greater temperature resolution, the user can adjust the readout resolution from 9 to 12 bits. The MAX31725/MAX31726 temperature sensors accurately measure temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. These devices convert the temperature measurements to digital form using a high-resolution, sigma-delta, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Accuracy is ±0.5°C from -40°C to +105°C. The LTC2986 measures a wide variety of temperature sensors and digitally outputs the result, in °C or °F, with 0.1°C accuracy and 0.001°C resolution. The LTC2986 can measure the temperature of virtually all standard (Type B, E, J, K, N, S, R, T) or custom thermocouples, automatically compensate for cold junction temperatures and linearize the results. The device can also measure temperature with standard 2-, 3-, or 4-wire RTDs, thermistors, and diodes.
