The LTC2996 is a high accuracy temperature sensor with adjustable overtemperature and undertemperature thresholds and open drain alert outputs. It converts the temperature of an external diode sensor or its own die temperature to an analog output voltage while rejecting errors due to noise and series resistance. The measured temperature is compared against upper and lower limits set with resistive dividers. If a threshold is exceeded, the device communicates an alert by pulling low the correspondent open drain logic output.The LTC2996 gives ±1°C accurate temperature results using commonly available NPN or PNP transistors or temperature diodes built into modern digital devices. The MAX30207 is a low-power, high-accuracy digital temperature sensor with ±0.1°C accuracy from +30°C to +50°C and ±0.3°C accuracy from 0°C to +70°C. It provides a 16-bit resolution (0.005°C).The 2mm x 2mm x 0.75mm package design has extremely low thermal mass and can be mounted on a flex PCB with only two conducting traces, allowing for minimal thermal conduction to the system PCB and accurate temperature measurements.Data is transferred serially through the 1-Wire® protocol, which requires only one data line and a ground reference for communication. Power to the device is also provided using the same data line used for communication using parasite power circuitry inside the device. Each MAX30207 has its own unique 64-bit registration number factory programmed into the chip. This unique 64-bit registration number acts as the node address in a multidrop 1-Wire® network. The MAX30205 temperature sensor accurately measures temperature and provide an overtemperature alarm/interrupt/shutdown output. This device converts the temperature measurements to digital form using a high-resolution, sigma-delta, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Accuracy meets clinical thermometry specification of the ASTM E1112 when soldered on the final PCB. The MAX31730 temperature sensor monitors its own temperature and the temperatures of three external diode-connected transistors. The operating supply voltage is from 3.0V to 3.6V. Resistance cancellation compensates for high series resistance in circuit-board traces and the external thermal diode, while beta compensation corrects for temperature-measurement errors due to low-beta sensing transistors.All temperature channels have programmable temperature thresholds. When the measured temperature of a channel crosses the respective threshold, a status bit is set in the thermal status registers and the open-drain active-low THERM output asserts. A highest temperature register allows the master to obtain the temperature of the hottest channel.The 2-wire serial interface accepts SMBus protocols (write byte, read byte, send byte, and receive byte) for reading the temperature data and programming the temperature thresholds. The MAX6501–MAX6504 low-cost, fully integrated temperature switches assert a logic signal when their die temperature crosses a factory-programmed threshold. Operating from a +2.7V to +5.5V supply, these devices feature two on-chip, temperature-dependent voltage references and a comparator. They are available with factory-trimmed temperature trip thresholds from -45°C to +125°C in 10°C increments, and are accurate to ±0.5°C (typ) or ±6°C (max). These devices require no external components and typically consume 30µA supply current. Hysteresis is pin-selectable at 2°C or 10°C.The MAX6501/MAX6503 have an active-low, open-drain output intended to interface with a microprocessor (µP) reset input. The MAX6502/MAX6504 have an active-high, push-pull output intended to directly drive fan-control logic. The MAX6501/MAX6502 are offered with hot-temperature thresholds (+35°C to +125°C), asserting when the temperature is above the threshold. The MAX6503/MAX6504 are offered with cold-temperature thresholds (-45°C to +15°C), asserting when the temperature is below the threshold.The MAX6501–MAX6504 are offered in eight standard temperature versions; contact the factory for pricing and availability of nonstandard temperature versions.
