The MAX6581 precision multichannel temperature sensor monitors its own temperature and the temperatures of up to seven external diode-connected transistors. All temperature channels have programmable alert and overtemperature thresholds. When the measured temperature of a channel crosses the respective threshold, a status bit is set in one of the status registers. Two open-drain alarm outputs (active-low ALERT and active-low OVERT) assert corresponding to these bits in the status register(s). Resistance cancellation is available for all channels and compensates for high series resistance in circuit-board traces and thermal diodes. The 2-wire serial interface accepts SMBus protocols (write byte, read byte, send byte, and receive byte) for reading the temperature data and programming the alarm thresholds. The MAX6581 is specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is available in a 24-pin, 4mm × 4mm thin QFN package with an exposed pad.ApplicationsData CommunicationsDesktop ComputersNotebook ComputersServersWorkstations

The MAX1298/MAX1299 implement local and remote temperature sensing with 12-bit resolution, using +5V and +3V supply voltages, respectively. Accuracy is ±1°C from 0 to +70°C, with no calibration needed. The devices feature an algorithmic switched-capacitor analog-to-digital converter (ADC), an on-chip clock, and a 3-wire serial interface compatible with SPI, QSPI™, and MICROWIRE®.The MAX1298/MAX1299 also perform fully differential voltage measurements with 12-bit resolution and separate track-and-hold (T/H) for positive and negative inputs. Both devices accept versatile input modes consisting of two 3-channel signal pairs, five 1-channel signals relative to an AIN5, or VDD/4 relative to ground. An external reference may be used for more accurate voltage measurements.Typical power consumption is only 1.3mW (MAX1299). The LTC2995 is a high accuracy temperature sensor and dual supply monitor. It converts the temperature of an external diode sensor and/or its own die temperature to an analog output voltage while rejecting errors due to noise and series resistance. Two supply voltages and the measured temperature are compared against upper and lower limits set with resistive dividers. If a threshold is exceeded, the device communicates an alert by pulling low the correspondent open drain logic output.The LTC2995 gives ±1°C accurate temperature results using commonly available NPN or PNP transistors or temperature diodes built into modern digital devices. Voltages are monitored with 1.5% accuracy. A 1.8V reference output simplifies threshold programming and can be used as an ADC reference input.The LTC2995 provides an accurate, low power solution for temperature and voltage monitoring in a compact 3mm × 3mm QFN package.Applications Network Servers Core, I/O Voltage Monitors Desktop and Notebook Computers Environmental Monitoring
