AD7228ABPZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7228A contains eight 8-bit voltage-mode digital-to-analog converters, with output buffer amplifiers and interface logic on a single monolithic chip. No external trims are required to achieve full specified performance for the part.Separate on-chip latches are provided for each of the eight D/A converters. Data is transferred into the data latches through a common 8-bit TTL/CMOS (5 V) compatible input port. Address inputs A0, A1 and A2 determine which latch is loadedwhen WR goes low. The control logic is speed compatible withmost 8-bit microprocessors.Specified performance is guaranteed for input reference voltages from +2 to +10 V when using dual supplies. The part is also specified for single supply +15 V operation using a reference of +10 V and single supply +5 V operation using a reference of +1.23 V. Each output buffer amplifier is capable of developing+10 V across a 2 kΩ load. The AD7228A is fabricated on an all ion-implanted, high-speed, Linear Compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) process which has been specifically developed to integrate high-speed digital logic circuits and precision analog circuits on the same chip.Product Highlights Eight DACs and Amplifiers in Small Package The single-chip design of eight 8-bit DACs and amplifiers allows a dramatic reduction in board space requirements and offers increased reliability in systems using multiple converters. Its pinout is aimed at optimizing board layout with all analog inputs and outputs at one side of the package and all digital inputs at the other. Single or Dual Supply Operation The voltage-mode configuration of the DACs allows single supply operation of the AD7228A. The part can also be operated with dual supplies giving enhanced performance for some parameters. Microprocessor Compatibility The AD7228A has a common 8-bit data bus with individual DAC latches, providing a versatile control architecture for simple interface to microprocessors. AD7609BSTZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The AD7609 is an 18-bit, 8-channel, true differential, simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition system (DAS). The part contains analog input clamp protection, a second-order antialiasing filter, a track-and-hold amplifier, an 18-bit charge redistribution successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a flexible digital filter, a 2.5 V reference and reference buffer, and high speed serial and parallel interfaces. The AD7609 operates from a single 5 V supply and can accommodate ±20 V and ±10 V true bipolar differential input signals while sampling at throughput rates up to 200 kSPS for all channels. The input clamp protection circuitry can tolerate voltages up to ±16.5 V on each analog input pin. The AD7609 has 1 MΩ analog input impedance regardless of sampling frequency. The single supply operation, on-chip filtering, and high input impedance eliminate the need for driver op amps and external bipolar supplies. The AD7609 antialiasing filter has a −3 dB cutoff frequency of 32 kHz and provides 40 dB antialias rejection when sampling at 200 kSPS. The flexible digital filter is pin driven, yields improvements in SNR, and reduces the −3 dB bandwidth. Applications Power line monitoring and protection systems Multiphase motor control Instrumentation and control systems Multiaxis positioning systems Data acquisition systems (DAS)

The AD8229 is an ultralow noise instrumentation amplifierdesigned for measuring small signals in the presence of largecommon-mode voltages and high temperatures. The AD8229 has been designed for high temperature operation. The process is dielectrically isolated to avoid leakage currents at high temperatures. The design architecture was chosen to compensate for the low VBE voltages at high temperatures. The AD8229 excels at measuring tiny signals. It delivers industry leading 1 nV/√Hz input noise performance. The high CMRR of the AD8229 prevents unwanted signals from corrupting theacquisition. The CMRR increases as the gain increases, offering high rejection when it is most needed. The AD8229 is one of the fastest instrumentation amplifiersavailable. Its current feedback architecture provides high bandwidth at high gain, for example, 1.2 MHz at G = 100. Thedesign includes circuitry to improve settling time after largeinput voltage transients. The AD8229 was designed for excellentdistortion performance, allowing use in demanding applicationssuch as vibration analysis.Gain is set from 1 to 1000 with a single resistor. A reference pinallows the user to offset the output voltage. This feature can be useful when interfacing with analog-to-digital converters. For the most demanding applications, the AD8229 is availablein an 8-lead side-brazed ceramic dual in-line package (SBDIP).For space-constrained applications, the AD8229 is available inan 8-lead plastic standard small outline package (SOIC).The AD8229 is also available as Known Good DieApplications Down-hole instrumentation Harsh environment data acquisition Exhaust gas measurements Vibration analysis

The AD8237 is a micropower, zero drift, rail-to-rail input and output instrumentation amplifier. The relative match of two resistors sets any gain from 1 to 1000. The AD8237 has excellent gain accuracy performance that can be preserved at any gain with two ratio-matched resistors. The AD8237 employs the indirect current feedback architecture to achieve a true rail-to-rail capability. Unlike conventional in-amps, the AD8237 can fully amplify signals with common-mode voltage at or even slightly beyond its supplies. This enables applications with high common-mode voltages to use smaller supplies and save power. The AD8237 is an excellent choice for portable systems. With a minimum supply voltage of 1.8 V, a 115 μA typical supply current, and wide input range, the AD8237 makes full use of a limited power budget, yet offers bandwidth and drift performance suitable for bench-top systems.Applications Bridge amplification Pressure measurement Medical instrumentation Thermocouple interface Portable systems Current measurement

The AD8338 is a variable gain amplifier (VGA) for applicationsthat require a fully differential signal path, low power, low noise, and a well-defined gain over frequency. Although the inputs aredifferential, the device can also be driven with a single-endedsource if required. The basic gain function is linear-in-dB and is controlled by thevoltage applied to Pin GAIN. The nominal gain range spansfrom 0 dB to 80 dB for control voltages between 0.1 V to 1.1 Vwith a slope of 12.5 mV/dB. The nominal gain range can beshifted up or down via direct access to Pin INPD and Pin INMD,the current inputs of the VGA. For example, driving the INPDand INMD pins with 50 Ω resistors shifts the gain range up by20 dB, that is, 20 dB to 100 dB, and lowers the input referrednoise of the device to 1.5 nV/√Hz. Additionally, the gain slopecan be inverted via logic Pin MODE.The AD8338 includes additional circuit blocks to enable inputoffset correction and automatic gain control (AGC). DC offsetvoltages are removed by the offset correction circuit, whichbehaves like a high-pass filter whose corner is set with an externalcapacitor. The AGC function varies the gain of the AD8338 tomaintain a constant rms output voltage. An externally appliedvoltage to Pin VAGC with respect to the voltage at Pin VREFsets the output rms amplitude. A capacitor from Pin DETO toground sets the response time of the AGC circuit. The AD8338 offers additional versatility by providing access tothe internal summing nodes of the VGA core and the outputamplifiers. With the addition of a few external passive components, users can customize the gain, bandwidth, input impedance, andnoise profile of the device to fit their application. The AD8338 uses a single-supply voltage of 3.0 V to 5.0 V andis very power efficient, consuming as little as 3 mA quiescentcurrent at mid gain. The AD8338 is available in a 3 mm × 3 mm,RoHS-compliant, 16-lead LFCSP and is specified over theindustrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.APPLICATIONS Front end for inductive telemetry systems Ultrasonic signal receivers Signal compression for driving an ADC AGC amplifiers
