Analog Devices Inc.
The fourth generation of SHARC® Processors now includes the low power floating point DSP products – the ADSP-21478 and ADSP-21479 and offers increased performance, hardware-based filter accelerators, audio and application-focused peripherals, and new memory configurations capable of supporting a single chip solution. All devices are pin-compatible with each other and completely code-compatible with all prior SHARC Processors. These newest members of the fourth generation SHARC Processor family are based on a single-instruction, multiple-data (SIMD) core, which supports both 32-bit fixed-point and 32-/40-bit floating-point arithmetic formats and their low power make them particularly suitable for battery powered applications or where a higher ambient operating temperature is required. The ADSP-21479 offers a very low power and high performance – 266 MHz/1596 MFLOPs – in a BGA and LQFP package within the fourth generation SHARC Processor family. This feature of power makes the ADSP-21479 particularly well suited to address the automotive audio and many industrial control segments where low power is a requirement. In addition to its high core performance, the ADSP-21479 includes additional processing blocks such as FIR, IIR, and FFT accelerators to increase the total performance of the system. There is a new feature called Variable Instruction Set Architecture (VISA) that allows the code size to be decreased by 20% to 30% and increase the memory size availability. The fourth generation DSP allows the ability to connect to external memory by providing a glueless interface to 16-bit wide SDR SDRAMs. Fourth-generation SHARC Processors also integrate application-specific peripherals designed to simplify hardware design, minimize design risks, and ultimately reduce time to market. Grouped together, and broadly named the Digital Applications Interface (DAI), these functional blocks may be connected to each other or to external pins via the software-programmable Signal Routing Unit (SRU). The SRU is an innovative architectural feature that enables complete and flexible routing amongst DAI blocks. Peripherals connected through the SRU include but are not limited to serial ports, SPI ports, S/PDIF Tx/Rx, and an 8-Channel asynchronous sample rate converter block. The fourth generation SHARC allows data from the serial ports to be directly transferred to external memory by the DMA controller. Other peripherals such as UART and Two-Wire Interface are routed through a Digital Peripheral Interface (DPI).

OP270EZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The OP270 is a high performance, monolithic, dual operational amplifier with exceptionally low voltage noise density (5 nV/√Hz maximum at 1 kHz). It offers comparable performance to the industry-standard OP27 from Analog Devices, Inc. The OP270 features an input offset voltage of less than 75 μV and an offset drift of less than 1 μV/°C, guaranteed over the full military temperature range. Open-loop gain of the OP270 is more than 1,500,000 into a 10 kΩ load, ensuring excellent gain accuracy and linearity, even in high gain applications. The input bias current is less than 20 nA, which reduces errors due to signalsource resistance. With a common-mode rejection (CMR) of greater than 106 dB and a power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of less than 3.2 μV/V, the OP270 significantly reduces errors due to ground noise and power supply fluctuations. The power consumption of the dual OP270 is one-third less than two OP27 devices, a significant advantage for power conscious applications. The OP270 is unity-gain stable with a gain bandwidth product of 5 MHz and a slew rate of 2.4 V/μs.The OP270 offers excellent amplifier matching, which is important for applications such as multiple gain blocks, low noise instrumentation amplifiers, dual buffers, and low noise active filters. The OP270 conforms to the industry-standard 8-lead CERDIP and PDIP pinouts. For higher speed applications, the ADA4004-2 or the AD8676 are recommended. For a quad op amp, see the OP470 data sheet.

The OPx177 family consists of very high precision, single, dual, and quad amplifiers featuring extremely low offset voltage and drift, low input bias current, low noise, and low power consump-tion. Outputs are stable with capacitive loads of over 1000 pF with no external compensation. Supply current is less than 500 μA per amplifier at 30 V. Internal 500 Ω series resistors protect the inputs, allowing input signal levels several volts beyond either supply without phase reversal.Unlike previous high voltage amplifiers with very low offset voltages, the OP1177 (single) and OP2177 (dual) amplifiers are available in tiny 8-lead surface-mount MSOP and 8-lead narrow SOIC packages. The OP4177 (quad) is available in TSSOP and 14-lead narrow SOIC packages. Moreover, specified performance in the MSOP and the TSSOP is identical to performance in the SOIC package. MSOP and TSSOP are available in tape and reel only. The OPx177 family offers the widest specified temperature range of any high precision amplifier in surface-mount packaging. All versions are fully specified for operation from −40°C to +125°C for the most demanding operating environments.Applications for these amplifiers include precision diode power measurement, voltage and current level setting, and level detection in optical and wireless transmission systems. Additional applications include line-powered and portable instrumentation and controls—thermocouple, RTD, strain-bridge, and other sensor signal conditioning—and precision filters.Applications Wireless base station control circuits Optical network control circuits Instrumentation Sensors and controls Thermocouples Resistor thermal detectors (RTDs) Strain bridges Shunt current measurements Precision filters

The OP497 is a quad op amp with precision performance in the space-saving, industry standard 16-lead SOlC package. Its combination of exceptional precision with low power and extremely low input bias current makes the quad OP497 useful in a wide variety of applications.Precision performance of the OP497 includes very low offset (120 dB. The OP497 has a power supply rejection of >120 dB which minimizes offset voltage changes experienced in battery-powered systems. The supply current of the OP497 is The OP497 uses a superbeta input stage with bias current cancellation to maintain picoamp bias currents at all temperatures. This is in contrast to FET input op amps whose bias currents start in the picoamp range at 25°C but double for every 10°C rise in temperature to reach the nanoamp range above 85°C. The input bias current of the OP497 is Combining precision, low power, and low bias current, the OP497 is ideal for a number of applications, including instrumentation amplifiers, log amplifiers, photodiode preamplifiers, and long-term integrators. For a single device, see the OP97 data sheet, and for a dual device, see the OP297 data sheet.
