The ADE9000 is a highly accurate, fully integrated, multiphase energy and power quality monitoring device. Superior analog performance and a digital signal processing (DSP) core enable accurate energy monitoring over a wide dynamic range. An integrated high end reference ensures low drift over temperature with a combined drift of less than ±25 ppm/°C maximum for the entire channel including a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC).The ADE9000 offers complete power monitoring capability by providing total as well as fundamental measurements on rms, active, reactive, and apparent powers and energies. Advanced features such as dip and swell monitoring, frequency, phase angle, voltage total harmonic distortion (VTHD), current total harmonic distortion (ITHD), and power factor measurements enable implementation of power quality measurements. The ½ cycle rms and 10 cycle rms/12 cycle rms, calculated according to IEC 61000-4-30 Class S, provide instantaneous rms measurements for real-time monitoring.The ADE9000 offers an integrated flexible waveform buffer that stores samples at a fixed data rate of 32 kSPS or 8 kSPS, or a sampling rate that varies based on line frequency to ensure 128 points per line cycle. Resampling simplifies fast Fourier transform (FFT) calculation of at least 50 harmonics in an external processor.The ADE9000 simplifies the implementation of energy and power quality monitoring systems by providing tight integration of acquisition and calculation engines. The integrated ADCs and DSP engine calculate various parameters and provide data through user accessible registers or indicate events through interrupt pins. With seven dedicated ADC channels, the ADE9000 can be used on a 3-phase system or up to three single-phase systems. It supports current transformers (CTs) or Rogowski coils for current measurements. A digital integrator eliminates a discrete integrator required for Rogowski coils.The ADE9000 absorbs most complexity in calculations for a power monitoring system. Its resonating disk sensor structure enables angular rate measurement about the axes normal to the sides of the package around an in-plane axis. Angular rate data is formatted as 16-bit twos complement and is accessible through a SPI digital interface. The AD9631/AD9632 are very high speed and wide bandwidth amplifiers. The AD9631 is unity gain stable. The AD9632 is stable at gains of 2 or greater. Using a voltage feedback architecture, the exceptional settling time, bandwidth, and low distortion of the AD9631/AD9632 meet the requirements of many applications that previously depended on current feedback amplifiers. Its classical op amp structure works much more predictably in many designs.A proprietary design architecture has produced an amplifier that combines many of the best characteristics of both current feedback and voltage feedback amplifiers. The AD9631/AD9632 exhibit exceptionally fast and accurate pulse response (16 ns to 0.01%) as well as extremely wide small signal and large signal bandwidth and ultralow distortion. The AD9631 achieves −72 dBc at 20 MHz, 320 MHz small signal bandwidth, and 175 MHz large signal bandwidths.These characteristics position the AD9631/AD9632 ideally for driving flash as well as high resolution ADCs. Additionally, the balanced high impedance inputs of the voltage feedback architecture allow maximum flexibility when designing active filters.The AD9631/AD9632 are offered in the industrial (−40°C to +85°C) temperature range. The AD96685 and AD96687 are ultrafast voltage comparators. The AD96685 is a single comparator with 2.5 ns propagation delay; the AD96687 is an equally fast dual comparator. Both devices feature 50 ps propagation delay dispersion which is a particularly important characteristic of high speed comparators. It is a measure of the difference in propagation delay under differing overdrive conditions.A fast, high precision differential input stage permits consistent propagation delay with a wide variety of signals in the common-mode range from -2.5 V to +5 V. Outputs are complementary digital signals fully compatible with ECL 10 K and 10 KH logic families. The outputs provide sufficient drive current to directly drive transmission lines terminated in 50 Ohm to -2 V. A level sensitive latch input is included which permits tracking, track-hold, or sample-hold modes of operation.The AD96685 and AD96687 are available in both industrial, -25°C to +85°C, and military temperature ranges. The AD976 and AD976A are high-speed, low-power 16-bit A/D converters with each operating from a single 5 V supply. The AD976A has a throughput rate of 200 ksps whereas the AD976 has a throughput rate of 100 ksps. Each part contains a successive approximation, switched capacitor ADC, an internal 2.5 V reference, and a high-speed parallel interface. The AD976 and AD976A dissipate a maximum of 100 mW. The ADC is factory calibrated to minimize all linearity errors. The analog full-scale input is the standard industrial range of ±10 V.The AD976 and AD976A are comprehensively tested for ac parameters such as SNR and THD, as well as the more traditional parameters of offset, gain and linearity. The AD976 and AD976A are fabricated on Analog Devices' proprietary BiCMOS process, which has high performance bipolar devices along with CMOS transistors. The AD976 and AD976A are available in skinny 28-pin DIP, SSOP and SOIC packages.
