The ADG658 and ADG659 are low voltage, CMOS analogmultiplexers comprised of eight single channels and fourdifferential channels, respectively. The ADG658 switches one ofeight inputs (S1–S8) to a common output, D, as determined bythe 3-bit binary address lines A0, A1, and A2. The ADG659switches one of four differential inputs to a common differentialoutput, as determined by the 2-bit binary address lines A0 andA1. An EN input on both devices enables or disables the device.When disabled, all channels are switched off.These devices are designed on an enhanced process that provideslower power dissipation yet gives high switching speeds. Thesedevices can operate equally well as either multiplexers or demultiplexersand have an input range that extends to the supplies. Allchannels exhibit break-before-make switching action, preventingmomentary shorting when switching channels. All digital inputshave 0.8 V to 2.4 V logic thresholds, ensuring TTL/CMOS logiccompatibility when using single +5 V or dual ±5 V supplies. The ADG714 is a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS), octal single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switch controlled via a 3-wire serial interface. On resistance is closely matched between the switches and is flat over the full signal range. Each switch conducts equally well in both directions, and the input signal range extends to the supplies. Data is written to these devices in the form of 8 bits, each bit corresponding to one channel.The ADG714 uses a 3-wire serial interface that is compatiblewith serial peripheral interface (SPI), QSPI™, MICROWIRE™ interface standards, and most digital signal processing (DSP) interface standards. The output of the shift register DOUT enables a number of these devices to be daisy-chained. On power-up, all switches are in the OFF condition, and the internal registers contain all zeros.A low power consumption and operating supply range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V makes this part ideal for many applications. Theyare designed for balanced data transmission, and they comply with TIA/EIA standards RS485 and RS-422. The ADM3483E / ADM3486E are half-duplex transceivers that share differential lines and have separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver. The full-duplex ADM3488E / ADM3490E / ADM3491E transceivers have dedicated differential line driver outputs and receiver inputs. The ADM3491E also features separate enable inputs for the driver and receiver.The devices have a 12 kΩ receiver input impedance, which allows up to 32 transceivers on a bus. Because only one driver should be enabled at any time, the output of a disabled or powered-down driver is tristated to avoid overloading the bus.The driver outputs of the ADM3483E / ADM3486E / ADM3488E are slew rate limited, in order to reduce EMI and data errors caused by reflections from improperly terminated buses. The receiver has a fail-safe feature thatensures a logic high output when the inputs are floating. The ADF7020-1 is a low power, highly integrated FSK/ GFSK/ ASK/ OOK/ GOOK transceiver designed for operation in thelow UHF and VHF bands. The ADF7020-1 uses an externalVCO inductor that allows users to set the operating frequencyanywhere between 135 MHz and 650 MHz. Using the divide-by-2circuit allows users to operate the device as low as 80 MHz.The typical range of the VCO is about 10% of the operatingfrequency. A complete transceiver can be built using a smallnumber of external discrete components, making the ADF7020-1 very suitable for price-sensitive and area-sensitiveapplications.The transmit section contains a VCO and low noisefractional-N PLL with output resolution of <1 ppm. Thisfrequency agile PLL allows the ADF7020-1 to be used infrequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) systems. The VCOoperates at twice the fundamental frequency to reduce spuriousemissions and frequency pulling problems.The transmitter output power is programmable in 63 steps from−20 dBm to +13 dBm. The transceiver RF frequency, channelspacing, and modulation are programmable using a simple 3-wire interface. The device operates with a power supply range of2.3 V to 3.6 V and can be powered down when not in useA low IF architecture is used in the receiver (200 kHz),minimizing power consumption and the external componentcount and avoiding interference problems at low frequencies.The ADF7020-1 supports a wide variety of programmablefeatures, including Rx linearity, sensitivity, and IF bandwidth,allowing the user to trade off receiver sensitivity and selectivityfor current consumption, depending on the application. Thereceiver also features a patent-pending automatic frequencycontrol (AFC) loop, allowing the PLL to compensate forfrequency error in the incoming signal.An on-chip ADC provides readback of an integrated temperaturesensor, an external analog input, the battery voltage, or theRSSI signal, which provides savings on an ADC in someapplications. The temperature sensor is accurate to ±10°C overthe full operating temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.
