The part also contains a low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay track-and-hold circuit. On the CNV rising edge, the AD7686 samples an analog input IN+ between 0 V to REF with respect to a ground sense IN−. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set up to the supply voltage.Power dissipation scales linearly with throughput.The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability, using the SDI input, to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single, 3-wire bus or provides an optional busy indicator. The AD7760 is a high performance, 24-bit Σ-Δ analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It combines wide input bandwidth and high speed with the benefits of Σ-Δ conversion to achieve a performance of 100 dB SNR at 2.5 MSPS, making it ideal for high speed data acquisition. Wide dynamic range combined with significantly reduced antialiasing requirements simplify the design process. An integrated buffer to drive the reference, a differential amplifier for signal buffering and level shifting, an overrange flag, internal gain and offset registers, and a low-pass digital FIR filter make the AD7760 a compact, highly integrated data acquisition device requiring minimal peripheral component selection. In addition, the device offers programmable decimation rates, and the digital FIR filter can be adjusted if the default characteristics are not appropriate for the application. The AD7760 is ideal for applications demanding high SNR without a complex front-end signal processing design.The differential input is sampled at up to 40 MSPS by an analog modulator. The modulator output is processed by a series of low-pass filters, with the final filter having default or user-programmable coefficients. The sample rate, filter corner frequencies, and output word rate are set by a combination of the external clock frequency and the configuration registers of the AD7760. The reference voltage supplied to the AD7760 determines the analog input range. With a 4 V reference, the analog input range is ±3.2 V differential biased around a common mode of 2 V. This common-mode biasing can be achieved using the on-chip differential amplifier, further reducing the external signal conditioning requirements. The AD7760 is available in an exposed paddle, 64-lead TQFP and is specified over the industrial temperature range from −40°C to +85°C. The AD7804/AD7808 are quad/octal 10-bit digital-to-analog converters, with serial load capabilities, while the AD7805/AD7809 are quad/octal 10-bit digital-to-analog converters with parallel load capabilities. These parts operate from a +3.3 V to +5 V (10%) power supply and incorporates an on-chip reference. These DACs provide output signals in the form of VBIAS VSWING. VSWING is derived internally from VBIAS. On-chip control registers include a system control register and channel control registers. Four analog inputs are grouped into two channels (A and B) selected by the A0 input. Each channel has two inputs (VA1 and VA2 or VB1 and VB2) that can be sampled and converted simultaneously, thus preserving the relative phase information of the signals on both analog inputs. The part accepts an analog input range of ±10 V (AD7863-10), ±2.5 V (AD7863-3), and 0 V to 2.5 V (AD7863-2). Overvoltage protection on the analog inputs for the part allows the input voltage to go to ±17 V, ±7 V, or +7 V respectively, without causing damage.A single conversion start signal (CONVST) simultaneously places both track/holds into hold and initiates conversion on both channels. The BUSY signal indicates the end of conversion and at this time the conversion results for both channels are available to be read. The first read after a conversion accesses the result from VA1 or VB1, and the second read accesses the result from VA2 or VB2, depending on whether the multiplexer select (A0) is low or high, respectively. Data is read from the part via a 14-bit parallel data bus with standard CS and RD signals. In addition to the traditional dc accuracy specifications such as linearity, gain, and offset errors, the part is also specified for dynamic performance parameters including harmonic distortion and signal-to-noise ratio.The AD7863 is fabricated in the Analog Devices, Inc. linear compatible CMOS (LC2MOS) process, a mixed technology process that combines precision bipolar circuits with low power CMOS logic. It is available in 28-lead SOIC_W and SSOP.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD7863 features two complete ADC functions allowing simultaneous sampling and conversion of two channels. Each ADC has a two-channel input mux. The conversion result for both channels is available 5.2 μs after initiating conversion. The AD7863 operates from a single 5 V supply and consumes 70 mW typical. The automatic power-down mode, where the part goes into power-down once conversion is complete and wakes up before the next conversion cycle, makes the AD7863 ideal for battery-powered or portable applications. The part is offered in three versions with different analog input ranges. The first read after a conversion accesses the result from VA1 or VB1, and the second read accesses the result from VA2 or VB2, depending on whether the multiplexer select (A0) is low or high, respectively. The automatic power-down mode, where the part goes into power-down once conversion is complete and wakes up before the next conversion cycle, makes the AD7863 ideal for battery-powered or portable applications. The part offers a high speed parallel interface for easy connection to microprocessors, microcontrollers, and digital signal processors. The part is offered in three versions with different analog input ranges. The AD7863-10 offers the standard industrial input range of ±10 V; the AD7863-3 offers the common signal processing input range of ±2.5 V, while the AD7863-2 can be used in unipolar 0 V to 2.5 V applications. The part features very tight aperture delay matching between the two input sample and hold amplifiers.
