The PM156 provides low input current, high slew rate, and direct interchangeability with LF156 type. This operational amplifier uses a new process which allows fabrication of matched JFET transistors and standard bipolar transistors on the same chip. High accuracy make the PM156 useful in new designs and as replacements for modular and hybrid types. Unlike many designs, nulling the input offset voltage does not degrade common-mode rejection ratio or input offset voltage drift. Low input voltage noise and current noise plus a low 1/f noise corner frequency allow these amplifiers to be used in a variety of low noise, wide-bandwidth applications.Dynamic specifications for the PM156 include a typical slew rate of 12V/µs, a 2.5MHz gain bandwidth product, and settling time to within ±0.01% of final value in 4.0µs.

The OP27 precision operational amplifier combines the low offset and drift of the OP07 with both high speed and low noise. Offsets down to 25µV and drift of 0.6µV/°C maximum make the OP27 ideal for precision instrumentation applications. Exceptionally low noise, a low 1/f noise corner frequency, and high gain (1.8 million), allow accurate high-gain amplification of low-level signals. A gain-bandwidth product of 8MHz and a 2.8V/µsec slew rate provides excellent dynamic accuracy in high-speed data-acquisition systems. A low input bias current of ±10nA typical is achieved by use of a bias-current-cancellation circuit. The output stage has good load driving capability. A guaranteed swing of ±10V into 600 Ohms and low output distortion make the OP27 an excellent choice for audio applications. PSRR and CMRR exceed 120dB. These characteristics, coupled with long-term drift of 0.2µV/month, allow the circuit designer to achieve performance levels previously attained only by discrete designs.

ADL5902-EVALZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADL5902 is a true rms responding power detector that hasa 65 dB measurement range when driven with a single-ended 50 Ω source. This feature makes the ADL5902 frequencyversatile by eliminating the need for a balun or any other form of external input tuning for operation up to 9 GHz.The ADL5902 provides a solution in a variety of high frequencysystems requiring an accurate measurement of signal power. Requiring only a single supply of 5 V and a few capacitors, it is easy to use and capable of being driven single-ended or with abalun for differential input drive. The ADL5902 can operate from 50 MHz to 9 GHz and can accept inputs from −62 dBm to at least +3 dBm with large crest factors, such as GSM, CDMA,W-CDMA, TD-SCDMA, WiMAX, and LTE modulated signals. The ADL5902 can determine the true power of a high frequency signal having a complex low frequency modulation envelope or can be used as a simple low frequency rmsvoltmeter. Used as a power measurement device, VOUT isconnected to VSET. The output is then proportional to thelogarithm of the rms value of the input. In other words, thereading is presented directly in decibels and is scaled 1.06 V per decade, or 53 mV/dB; other slopes are easily arranged. In controller mode, the voltage applied to VSET determines thepower level required at the input to null the deviation from the set point. The output buffer can provide high load currents. The ADL5902 has 1.5 mW power consumption when powereddown by a logic high applied to the PWDN pin. It powers up within approximately 5 μs to its nominal operating current of 73 mA at 25°C. The ADL5902 is supplied in a 4 mm × 4 mm,16-lead LFCSP for operation over the wide temperature rangeof −40°C to +125°C.The ADL5902 is also pin-compatible with the AD8363, 50 dBdynamic range TruPwr™ detector. This feature allows the designer to create one circuit layout for projects requiring different dynamic ranges. A fully populated RoHS-compliant evaluation board is available.Applications Power amplifier linearization/control loops Transmitter power controls Transmitter signal strength indication (TSSI) RF instrumentation

ADM1169ACPZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1169 Super Sequencer® is a configurable supervisory/ sequencing device that offers a single-chip solution for supply monitoring and sequencing in multiple supply systems. In addition to these functions, the ADM1169 integrates a 12-bit ADC and four 8-bit voltage output DACs. These circuits can be used to implement a closed-loop margining system that enables supply adjustment by altering either the feedback node or reference of a dc-to-dc converter using the DAC outputs. Supply margining can be performed with a minimum of external components. The margining loop can be used for in-circuit testing of a board during production (for example, to verify board functionality at –5% of nominal supplies), or it can be used dynamically to accurately control the output voltage of a dc-to-dc converter. The device also provides up to eight programmable inputs for monitoring undervoltage faults, overvoltage faults, or out-of-window faults on up to eight supplies. In addition, there are eight programmable outputs that can be used as logic enables. Six of these programmable outputs can also provide up to a 12 V output for driving the gate of an N-FET that can be placed in the path of a supply. The logical core of the device is a sequencing engine (SE). This state machine-based construction provides up to 63 different states. This design enables very flexible sequencing of the outputs, based on the condition of the inputs. A block of nonvolatile EEPROM is available that can be used to store user-defined information and may also be used to hold a number of fault records that are written by the sequencing engine defined by the user when a particular fault or sequence occurs. The ADM1169 is controlled via configuration data that can be programmed into an EEPROM. The entire configuration can be programmed using an intuitive GUI-based software package provided by Analog Devices, Inc.

ADM1275-2ARQZ

Analog Devices Inc.
The ADM1275 is a hot-swap controller that allows a circuit board to be removed from or inserted into a live backplane. It also features current and voltage readback via an integrated 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC), accessed using a PMBus™ interface. The load current is measured using an internal current sense amplifier that measures the voltage across a sense resistor in the power path via the SENSE+ and SENSE− pins. A default limit of 20 mV is set, but this limit can be adjusted, if required, using a resistor divider network from the internal reference voltage to the ISET pin.The ADM1275 limits the current through the sense resistor by controlling the gate voltage of an external N-channel FET in the power path, via the GATE pin. The sense voltage—and, therefore, the load current—is maintained below the preset maximum. The ADM1275 protects the external FET by limiting the time that the FET remains on while the current is at its maximum value. This current limit time is set by the choice of capacitor connected to the TIMER pin. In addition, a foldback resistor network can be used to actively lower the current limit as the voltage across the FET is increased. This helps to maintain constant power in the FET and allows the safe operating area (SOA) to be adhered to in an effective manner. In case of a short-circuit event, a fast internal overcurrent detector responds within 370 ns and signals the gate to shut down. A 1500 mA pull-down device ensures a fast FET response. The ADM1275 features overvoltage and undervoltage protection, programmed using external resistor dividers on the UV and OV pins. A PWRGD signal can be used to detect when the output supply is valid, using the FLB pin to monitor the output. GPO pins can be configured as various output signals that can be asserted when a programmed current or voltage level is reached. The 12-bit ADC can measure the current in the sense resistor, as well as the supply voltage on the SENSE+ pin or the output voltage. A PMBus interface allows a controller to read current and voltage data from the ADC. Measurements can be initiated by a PMBus command. Alternatively, the ADC can run continuously, and the user can read the latest conversion data whenever required. Up to four unique PMBus addresses can be selected, depending on the way that the ADR pin is connected. The ADM1275-1 and ADM1275-3 are available in a 20-lead QSOP and 20-lead LFCSP and have a LATCH pin that can be configured for automatic retry or latch-off when an overcurrent fault occurs. The ADM1275-2 is available in a 16-lead QSOP with latch-off mode only.Applications Power monitoring and control/power budgeting Central office equipment Telecommunication and data communication equipment PCs/servers

Short-circuit protection circuits limit the maximum output current to ±250 mA during fault conditions. A thermal shutdown circuit senses if the die temperature rises above 150°C and forces the driver outputs into a high impedance state under this condition. The receiver of the ADM1490E / ADM1491E contains a fail-safe feature that results in a logic high output state if the inputs are unconnected (floating). The ADM1490E / ADM1491E feature extremely fast and closely matched switching times. Minimal driver propagation delays permit transmission at data rates up to 16 Mbps, and low skew minimizes EMI interference. The ADM1490E/ADM1491E are fully specified over the commercial and industrial temperature ranges. The ADM1490E is available in two packages: a narrow body, 8-lead SOIC and an 8-lead MSOP. The ADM1491E is also available in two packages: a narrow body, 14-lead SOIC and a 10-lead MSOP.APPLICATIONS RS-485/RS-422 interfaces Industrial field networks High data rate motor control Multipoint data transmission systems Single-ended-to-differential signal conversion
